Her perfunctory answer enraged Howard Geoffrey. Rebecca Quentin could feel an icy chill enveloping the entire suite. The consequences of his true anger suddenly crossed her mind. So, she turned her face and, with a resigned coldness, t his furious gaze. "Did you drag here just for this?"
The two had never had such a heated confrontation before. The scene was almost comical in its intensity, but the tense atmosphere made it impossible to laugh.
"You’d better not take what I said lightly!"
Rebecca Quentin raised her eyebrows. "I don’t know what my interactions with Mr. Jones have to do with you, Mr. Geoffrey. It seems we have no connection anymore. Mr. Geoffrey, you have plenty of ti. You should be spending it with your fiancée, not wasting it here with soone as insignificant as !" She spoke with pointed "politeness," her words laced with sarcasm and a clear reminder.
Howard Geoffrey roared furiously, "Damn it! Do you really have to talk back to like this?"
Angered by Howard Geoffrey’s yelling, Rebecca Quentin imdiately retorted, "You’re the one who showed up in front of like a lunatic!"
Howard Geoffrey narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Of all the n in the world, is Skyler Jones the only one you’ve taken an interest in?"
Rebecca Quentin’s soaring heart suddenly plumted. This sharp emotional drop made her very uncomfortable.
She had thought he’d suddenly appeared because he knew she was with Skyler Jones. But it turned out his aning was that she wasn’t allowed to associate with Skyler Jones, though others were apparently fine.
"Why can’t I be with Skyler Jones?" Anger, born from her frustration, blazed within Rebecca Quentin.
Howard Geoffrey’s already tense and unsightly expression grew even grimr at Rebecca Quentin’s defiance.
"It seems you’re really deeply infatuated with Skyler Jones, huh?" Scenes of Rebecca Quentin chatting and laughing with Skyler Jones flashed through his mind. Howard Geoffrey’s voice beca icy and low. "If you think you’re so capable, then go on and get closer to him!"
Now Rebecca Quentin was truly furious. She originally had no intention of developing anything with Skyler Jones, but after Howard Geoffrey’s tirade, she retorted defiantly, "Not only will I date Mr. Jones, I also want to marry him! And none of this has anything to do with you. You have no right to interfere!"
"No right to interfere?" Howard Geoffrey’s eyes suddenly darkened, and an icy aura emanated from him.
"That’s right!!"
She raised her head to look at him, her clear eyes cold and indifferent, directly eting his overwhelming, furious presence.
"Fine." A cold sneer touched Howard Geoffrey’s lips, his unfathomable dark eyes seeming to pierce straight into her soul. "Then I’ll let you see whether I have the right to interfere or not!"
They stared at each other, and the temperature in the room seed to plumt to freezing in an instant, a chilling draft sweeping through.
Rebecca Quentin continued to hold her head high, refusing to show weakness. Swallowing the tremor in her heart, she comndably summoned her courage and got off the bed.
However, just as she got up, she saw Howard Geoffrey unbuttoning his shirt.
Rebecca Quentin’s footsteps towards the door faltered. "You... what are you trying to do?"
Howard Geoffrey’s imposing, cold figure blocked the doorway. His eyes were unfathomable, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "Aren’t you the one who fears nothing?"
"Pervert!"
Rebecca Quentin cursed angrily and walked straight towards the door.
Her movents were swift, her hand just about to grasp the doorknob, when a large hand shot out from the side, forcefully stopping her.
In one swift motion, Howard Geoffrey caught the escaping Rebecca Quentin around the waist, pulling her tightly against his chest.
"AH!"
Rebecca Quentin scread, but with the vast disparity in their strength, she couldn’t resist and was pinned against the white wall behind her.
Rebecca Quentin frantically struggled. "Let go of , let go..."
Howard Geoffrey used his powerful, well-built body to pin Rebecca Quentin’s fiercely wriggling form between the wall and himself. He pulled her flailing hands above her head, rendering her completely immobilized.
Her hands and feet pinned, Rebecca Quentin didn’t keep her mouth idle; a torrent of curses erupted from her.
"Let go of ... Bastard, let go of now!!"
Glaring with wide eyes, Rebecca Quentin clenched her teeth, staring at Howard Geoffrey who pressed against her, clearly taking advantage of her.
"If I don’t thoroughly teach you a lesson today, I, Howard Geoffrey, will write my na backward!"
Bending his head to capture her luscious lips, Howard Geoffrey took action, determined to follow through on his words, allowing nothing to sway his resolve. His lips descended, domineering and cruel, crushing hers—so fragile and vulnerable—without a trace of gentleness. He seed intent on tornting her body and mind, plunging her deep into fear. He kissed her until she could barely breathe, her chest heaving violently.
