Contract Marriage: Abusive Love with Mr.CEO Chapter 203 - 112: She Always Knows How to Infuriate Him
"Uncle Geoffrey!"
With Marilyn Quinn’s joyful call, the faces of two won stiffened simultaneously, though masked with smiles.
As always, Howard Geoffrey lifted Marilyn Quinn up, "You ca to the door so quickly, knowing it was Uncle Geoffrey?"
Marilyn Quinn nodded vigorously, "Marie likes Uncle Geoffrey the most!"
Howard Geoffrey kissed Marilyn Quinn’s face, "Sweet girl."
Marilyn Quinn, circling Howard Geoffrey’s neck, suddenly asked, "Uncle Geoffrey, do you think I’m pretty?"
Howard Geoffrey frowned, "Why ask that?"
Marilyn Quinn innocently answered, "Because when Mommy and Auntie go out, many people say they’re beautiful. When I grow up, I want to be as pretty as them!"
Christine Quinn and Rebecca Quentin simultaneously wore black lines on their faces.
During the two won’s awkwardness, Howard Geoffrey seriously replied to the little girl, "You will be, little beauty!"
"Yay..." Marilyn Quinn was very happy.
Christine Quinn stood up, walked to Howard Geoffrey, and took Marilyn Quinn over, saying sternly, "Hey, little one, it’s ti for school. Hurry and pack your backpack; Mommy will take you to school."
"Okay!" Marilyn Quinn slid off her mother’s body.
Christine Quinn glanced at Howard Geoffrey, then said, "You chat; I’ll help Marie gather her stationery; she always forgets things."
Christine Quinn naturally found an excuse to leave ti and space for Howard Geoffrey and Rebecca Quentin.
The smile on Rebecca Quentin’s face was long gone as she stood up from the dining table and turned to go upstairs.
Howard Geoffrey’s voice sounded behind her, "Afraid to face ?"
Rebecca Quentin froze in place.
Howard Geoffrey approached her, noting unintentionally that the food on her place at the dining table seed hardly touched.
Howard Geoffrey looked at her frail back and couldn’t help but ask, "Just this little for breakfast?"
Rebecca Quentin didn’t reply.
"I’m asking why you ate so little for breakfast?" Howard Geoffrey pressed down his voice.
Rebecca Quentin hesitated, "I have no appetite," she replied.
Howard Geoffrey moved to stand in front of Rebecca Quentin, his face dark, "Knowing you’re pregnant, you eat like this?" he questioned her.
Rebecca Quentin bit her lower lip and remained silent.
Howard Geoffrey stared at her aggressively.
Unable to bear his gaze, Rebecca Quentin replied, "I eat many als a day."
"Nonsense, eating a little at each al is worse than three substantial als a day!" Howard Geoffrey shouted at her.
Rebecca Quentin was stunned.
Howard Geoffrey suddenly grabbed Rebecca Quentin’s hand, his expression cold, "If you’re having a baby, then learn to take care of yourself. Don’t co crying to if sothing goes wrong with the child!"
Howard Geoffrey’s heartless words hurt Rebecca Quentin’s already fragile heart, a tightening pain in her chest. Rebecca Quentin took a deep breath and said, "Don’t worry, I will never let anything happen to the child, nor co looking for you!!"
She always had the skill to infuriate him!
When Christine Quinn and Marilyn Quinn ca downstairs, they saw Howard Geoffrey clasping Rebecca Quentin tightly.
Unaware of the world, Marilyn Quinn whispered to her mother, "Mommy, Uncle Geoffrey is holding Auntie’s hand."
"Don’t worry about adult matters; quickly get dressed and off to school!"
"Okay!"
Before leaving, Christine Quinn gave Rebecca Quentin a word, "Becca, I’ll be back soon. Call if you need anything."
Rebecca Quentin nodded to Christine Quinn.
The door closed, and the not very big house was left with Howard Geoffrey and Rebecca Quentin alone.
Rebecca Quentin tily withdrew her hand from Howard Geoffrey, coldly asking, "Do you have anything else?"
"Waiting for the lawyer."
"What?"
Ding dong, another chi echoed.
Knew the visitor wasn’t Christine Quinn since she had the key.
Rebecca Quentin hesitated in place.
Howard Geoffrey had already moved towards the door, reaching to open it.
"Mr. Geoffrey."
A respectful male voice ca.
Rebecca Quentin glanced over; it was a man in a suit and tie, holding a briefcase, looking very ticulous. Did he ntion a lawyer?
"Co in!"
"Yes."
The lawyer respectfully approached Rebecca Quentin, speaking with a professional tone, "You must be Miss Quentin? I’m Mr. Geoffrey’s appointed lawyer, here to notarize the agreent you signed with him."
Agreent?
"May I sit here?" The lawyer pointed to the dining table.
Rebecca Quentin blankly nodded.
The lawyer then spoke to the two, "Please sit here, I’ll read the agreent contents."
Howard Geoffrey pulled out a chair and sat down.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Rebecca Quentin sat opposite Howard Geoffrey.
The lawyer retrieved the agreent from his briefcase.
A thin sheet of paper, yet Rebecca Quentin seed to see heavy words upon it.
The lawyer began to read, "I represent the law, hereby establishing an agreent between Party A, Howard Geoffrey, and Party B, Rebecca Quentin, due to reaching consensus. Agreent Article One, Party A allows Party B to hold custody of the child, but Party B shall not use the parental relationship with Party A for solicitation or coercion. Agreent Article Two, if Article One is violated, custody of the child shall revert to Party A, with no opposition from Party B."
The proposal was hers, and he accepted it.
It should have been joyful, yet it felt like a thousand-pound weight pressed on her chest, making her breathless.
The lawyer asked, "The agreent is simple. Do both parties have any objections?"
Howard Geoffrey looked at Rebecca Quentin.
"No objections," Rebecca Quentin replied.
A barely noticeable emotion passed through Howard Geoffrey’s eyes as he answered subsequently, "No objections."
The lawyer nodded, "Alright, please sign your nas in the Party A and Party B positions. The agreent will be in duplicate, one filed, the other for you both to review the agreent content anyti. Once signed, the agreent becos effective."
"Okay." In every response, Rebecca Quentin dared not et Howard Geoffrey’s eyes. But even without looking, she knew they would be cold and heartless.
The lawyer placed the agreents in front of Howard Geoffrey and Rebecca Quentin respectively. "Please sign."
Compared to receiving the divorce agreent from his lawyer in her most difficult tis, what was this agreent to her? Especially since this agreent was also what she wanted.
So, without any hesitation, Rebecca Quentin signed her na at the Party B position.
Seeing Rebecca Quentin’s straightforward manner, Howard Geoffrey’s dark eyes held a deep, shadowy anger, emotions on his face, yet more intense and profound fury in his gaze!!
