"M" has always wanted him to use Rebecca Quentin against Howard Geoffrey, sothing he never did. The real reason, as "M" said, is that he didn’t want to hurt Rebecca Quentin...

Now "M" wants him to change targets, clearly indicating that "M" believes Rebecca Quentin has lost her value, so he finally doesn’t have to worry about "M" forcing him to harm Rebecca Quentin to blackmail Howard Geoffrey.

Although he is being forced by "M" to deal with Howard Geoffrey, he cannot deny that he has always wanted to have a real competition with Howard Geoffrey. This ti, he is opening a duel with Howard Geoffrey... Once he defeats Howard Geoffrey, dealing with "M" and winning over Rebecca Quentin, he believes it won’t be a difficult task anymore.

Thinking of this, Skyler Jones picked up the phone on the desk and dialed a string of numbers.

"Mr. Jones," the subordinate respectfully addressed over the phone.

"I want to see Alice, find a few people in New York to ’bring’ her to ."

"Yes."

New York.

In a leisurely afternoon, Alice Robinson sat in the living room reading a parenting book.

Suddenly, a doorbell rang from the door.

Alice promptly put down her parenting book and got up to open the door.

At the mont she opened the door, her body slightly paused, and a surprised smile spread across her face, "Howard Geoffrey."

"I have sothing to say to you."

Alice imdiately opened the door wider, "Co in."

Howard Geoffrey then walked into Alice’s apartnt.

Alice asked excitedly, "Did you co back from Y City today?"

Howard Geoffrey walked to the floor-to-ceiling window of Alice’s apartnt and softly replied, "Hmm."

Alice walked to Howard Geoffrey’s side and asked, "Where’s Aunt? I saw her on TV going to Y City with you to celebrate for Mr. Jones. Didn’t you return with Aunt?"

Howard Geoffrey calmly replied, "I’ve already had soone send her ho."

Hearing this, Alice’s excited face suddenly dimd, and her eyes lowered in disappointnt, "It seems Aunt is really mad at ."

Without comforting Alice, Howard Geoffrey coldly uttered, "There’s sothing you need to explain to ."

Alice quickly lifted her eyes, "Hmm?"

Howard Geoffrey turned his head, his cold eyes fixated on Alice’s young and beautiful face, "Did you arrange to et Rebecca Quentin on the day she planned to return to Alton?"

On this trip to Y City, because he wasn’t assured of her staying alone in New York, he covertly sent people to protect her at all tis, only then did he learn that she was in contact with Alice.

Knowing that this matter would eventually be discovered by Howard Geoffrey, Alice took a deep breath and nodded lightly, "Yes, that day I secretly arranged to et with Miss Quentin."

Howard Geoffrey’s gaze, directed at Alice, grew colder.

Alice lowered her eyes, confessing calmly, "That day, I knew you would go to the airport to intercept Miss Quentin, I just wanted to help you keep her in New York."

Howard Geoffrey’s expression remained stern, "What did you say to her?"

Alice truthfully answered, "I lied to her, saying that while accompanying Aunt, I unintentionally learned that her mother’s death back then was related to Aunt. I knew that upon hearing this, she definitely wouldn’t leave New York peacefully..."

A trace of anger swept across the depths of Howard Geoffrey’s dark eyes, "Who allowed you to lie to and deceive her like that?"

Alice raised her eyes to look into Howard Geoffrey’s angry eyes, slowly responding, "If it weren’t for lying to keep Miss Quentin, do you think she would really have reconciled with you?"

Howard Geoffrey’s hawk-like dark eyes fixed on Alice.

Alice’s voice choked slightly, "During the year we were together, even though you didn’t put real feelings into , I always envisioned a future for us... I knew you often went to Alton to see Miss Quentin, but I kept thinking, maybe you were just concerned about the child she was carrying, not Miss Quentin herself. But later, even after she had the child, you still flew to Alton... Howard Geoffrey, I’m not foolish. Our wedding turning into such a farce, I knew it was orchestrated by you for Rebecca Quentin. Although I was heartbroken, I understood that feelings cannot be forced, so I wasn’t mad at you. During those days when you were in Alton accompanying Rebecca Quentin, I kept wondering if you and Miss Quentin would reunite. Later, I was really shocked to find out you returned alone because I couldn’t imagine there would be soone in this world you couldn’t handle. When I was feeling bad for you, I heard Miss Quentin ca to New York for the child’s sake, to look for you. At that mont, I thought, if only you could keep Miss Quentin. But that day when I accompanied my uncle to ’Skytop’, I unintentionally overheard you instruct Jason Wood to stop Miss Quentin from going to the airport, only then did I realize that Miss Quentin hadn’t forgiven you... As a woman, I understand Miss Quentin’s resolve after being hurt, but I feel for you for putting so much thought into Rebecca Quentin..."

After listening to Alice’s explanation, Howard Geoffrey’s tone remained cold, "So you arranged to et with Rebecca Quentin?"

Alice lightly nodded, "Yes."

Howard Geoffrey’s sharp eyes pierced Alice’s face, "So what did you two talk about when you t yesterday?"

Alice’s tone remained slow and gentle, "Yesterday, I actually wanted to test Miss Quentin, to see if she stayed because of investigating her mother’s matter or because of you."

"This is none of your business!!"

"I certainly want to know... That day when you ca to the hospital asking to leave the child, it reignited my hope, making think we still had a chance, so I couldn’t resist wanting to know if there was a rift between you and Rebecca Quentin... I admit, my tone was bad when I spoke to Rebecca Quentin that day, but I didn’t have the upper hand. One sentence from her, saying she already gave you an heir, made speechless..." As she said the last sentence, Alice was already choked with emotion and couldn’t continue.

Looking at Alice’s slightly reddened eyes, Howard Geoffrey’s cold and handso face slightly softened, but his tone was still devoid of any warmth, "Take care of yourself, I don’t want to see anyone doing little things behind my back."

Alice took a deep breath, suppressing the pain in her heart, and responded, "Don’t worry, I won’t."

Rebecca Quentin was taking an afternoon nap...

In her sleep, she felt soone softly touch her lips, the warm lips and familiar breath prompted Rebecca Quentin to gradually open her long eyelashes...

Howard Geoffrey had already left her lips at this mont, his eyes deeply focused on her sleepy face.

Seeing the familiar handso face in her hazy state, Rebecca Quentin gradually awoke, rubbed her eyes, confird she hadn’t seen incorrectly, and suddenly sat up, joyfully exclaid, "You’re back?"

Howard Geoffrey sat on the edge of the bed and didn’t answer Rebecca Quentin, his facial expression didn’t change much, and his eyes continued to look deeply at her.

Rebecca Quentin suddenly reached out and hugged Howard Geoffrey, "I missed you so much..." She leaned against his shoulder, holding him tightly, feeling his breath and body warmth.
