Howard Geoffrey’s words made Rebecca Quentin suddenly recall her embarrassing appearance in sexy sleepwear before him just monts ago. She really... made a huge blunder! Yes, she was never used to taking off her undergarnts when wearing pajamas, and that had been the case when she tried them on earlier. But didn’t he politely turn away just now? How did he still manage to get such a good look?
About ten minutes after Howard Geoffrey left, Rebecca Quentin’s face still burned with the blush and embarrassnt from their first eting. It took her a while to compose herself and sit back on the edge of the bed. Suddenly, his figure erged in her mind again...
Their eting had been so abrupt that she hadn’t had ti to properly look at him. It was only now, as his image reappeared in her mind, that she realized her fiancé seed to be... very tall, very young, and very handso.
Thinking back, if she hadn’t been too panicked and overlooked his appearance, she would have been utterly stunned upon seeing him, wouldn’t she?
His thick, slightly ssy black hair, still damp from the shower; his deep black eyes, like the darkest night; his firmly sculpted features; and the innate arrogance etched between his eyebrows... this was the image of him eting her gaze in her mind’s eye right now.
Honestly, she had never seen such a handso man before, especially one who also possessed a physique like a male model. She’d realized that the mont she first saw him erge from the bathroom...
Speaking of his physique, Rebecca Quentin suddenly recalled Howard Geoffrey changing clothes right in front of her. My gosh, he was completely naked then...
Fortunately, from her vantage point, he had been turned sideways. If he had been facing her directly, she’d probably have gotten a stye by now, right?
Their first eting, though sowhat awkward, hadn’t left her with any aversion to the fiancé her father had chosen. She admitted that Howard Geoffrey’s appearance was one reason she felt favorably towards him. After all, most won appreciate good looks, and since we’re going to be married soon, I *must* develop positive feelings for him.
「At one o’clock in the morning, a black Bugatti drove out of a wine estate in the T City suburbs.」
The car’s lights cut through the dark, tranquil surroundings. The driver, glancing at the young man in the back seat through the rearview mirror, noted the cold aura emanating from him. He respectfully asked, "Mr. President, are we returning to the hotel?"
"Mm," the man replied, his tone light, as if untouched by his own chilling aura.
The driver couldn’t help but say, "Mr. President, forgive my impertinence... I think Alexander Quentin has truly gone too far. Miss Quinn is his daughter too. Not only does he not care about her, but he actually used her illness to negotiate a deal with you..."
The man’s handso face remained impassive, showing no trace of emotion.
The driver grew more indignant as he continued, "I heard that this Rebecca Quentin has been spoiled like a princess by Alexander Quentin since childhood. It seems she’s just another rich, pampered young lady, accustod to having everything handed to her. She isn’t even worthy of carrying your shoes, Mr. President..."
Perhaps finding it too noisy, the man in the back seat frowned slightly, his voice tinged with displeasure. "You’re too talkative."
The man uttered only four words, yet the driver imdiately clamped his mouth shut, not daring to say anything more.
About an hour later, the car pulled up to the Royal Business Hotel.
The driver opened the door for the man.
After exiting the car, the man instructed the driver, "Buy a burial plot for in the best location in T City. I want to give it as a gift."
The driver paused, not imdiately understanding. "Ah, yes. Whose na should be on it?"
"Alexander Quentin."
When the man uttered the na, comprehension dawned on the driver, who had served him for many years.
Gradually, the driver felt an icy chill emanating from the man, enveloping him and sending shivers down his spine.
