Chester pursed his lips with a smile, "I was the one who introduced you to ’QCS,’ so how could I believe such news? I’m actually congratulating you for getting through this hurdle, and finally, you don’t have to pay attention to those rumors anymore."
Rebecca Quentin grumbled in dissatisfaction, "Yeah, that was close. I almost got devoured by those reporters."
Chester raised an eyebrow, "You seed quite calm in front of the dia. I thought you knew soone would co to your rescue!"
Chester’s scrutinizing gaze lingered on Rebecca Quentin’s exquisite face, with a barely perceptible sharpness in his eyes.
Rebecca Quentin put down the pizza with displeasure and said seriously, "I was just feigning calmness! You have no idea how scared I was, constantly praying..." Praying that Howard Geoffrey would co to her aid soon!
Unable to discern anything unusual from Rebecca Quentin’s expression, Chester maintained his elegant smile and sighed, "To be honest, I always thought Howard Geoffrey would help resolve this for you. I didn’t expect him not to show up in the end."
Chester probed again...
Rebecca Quentin lowered her gaze and said softly, "Even if he doesn’t help, it’s understandable."
She didn’t plan to tell Chester that Howard Geoffrey helped her, as she didn’t want anyone to know she went to ask him.
Even though Chester was Alice’s brother, during their friendship, he never asked about the emotional entanglents between her, Howard Geoffrey, and Alice; so, even if she ntioned Howard Geoffrey’s assistance, Chester wouldn’t tell Alice.
But she was still afraid of complicating things. After all, Howard Geoffrey probably didn’t want others to know about this either.
"That’s right. His mind is on my sister right now..."
Rebecca Quentin gave a slight nod.
Chester asked curiously, "By the way, have you ever thought about why the boss behind ’QCS’ would suddenly step in to help you?"
"I don’t know either. Like everyone else, I haven’t even seen him in person. Assistant Antony only told that a friend of mine asked for his help."
"Have you tried to guess who it might be?"
"I can’t figure it out."
"Don’t you think it was Howard Geoffrey who asked soone to help?"
Rebecca Quentin shot Chester a look, "Are you trying to ruin your sister’s happiness?"
Chester laughed heartily, "Just kidding with you. I know it’s got nothing to do with Howard Geoffrey."
Rebecca Quentin beca curious and asked, "How do you know?"
Chester pursed his lips and remained silent, just gazing deeply at Rebecca Quentin with a faint smile on his face.
Rebecca Quentin blushed awkwardly under Chester’s gaze, "Why are you looking at like that?"
Chester said directly, "Because you’re beautiful."
Rebecca Quentin got annoyed and embarrassed, "Stop joking around..."
Knowing she was thin-skinned, Chester didn’t continue to tease her and changed the subject, "Anyway, this was all caused by Alice. I hope you can forgive her. I’ve already scolded her, but unfortunately, I can’t make her apologize to you in person."
"No need. It’s in the past. Don’t strain your sibling relationship because of !"
Chester lightly nodded and added, "Actually, sothing happened around these two days. It should’ve been disappointing for , but surprisingly, I’m feeling quite good now."
Rebecca Quentin unfocused her frown, "How can sothing disappointing make you feel good?"
Chester stood up at that mont, answering as he left, "You’ll find out eventually... Oh, I forgot to tell you, I’ll continue working in T City."
Chester walked out of the hotel and got into a black car that was already parked by the roadside.
Keith Antony was driving and, seeing his boss’s smiling eyes through the rearview mirror, couldn’t help but say, "Boss, I feel you’re getting more and more interested in a certain woman... If you like her, you should make your move early. It’s best to make her yours!"
Chester pretended to put on a stern face, "Nonsense!"
Keith Antony smiled with his lips pressed, "Yes, good flowers need to be picked slowly..."
Chester curved his lips, "Let’s talk business."
"Oh... Boss, there’s been no movent from Howard Geoffrey these two days. Miss Alice is probably afraid Howard Geoffrey will help Miss Quentin, so she has rarely left his side these days."

"Boss, have you decided to perform the surgery for Miss Quentin yourself?" Keith Antony asked quietly.
Chester’s lips curled slightly, "Just drive, no more questions."

"Skytop" Group President’s Office.
Alice Robinson sat on the office sofa, boredly flipping through the magazine in her hand. Suddenly, she tossed the magazine aside and looked once again toward the door.
Seeing this, Lisa Cecily stepped forward respectfully and said, "Miss Robinson, the president will be done after one more eting."
Alice Robinson leaned against the sofa in boredom and sighed lightly, "He’s so busy every day!"
Lisa Cecily explained with a smile, "The president has to manage such a large company, naturally, he doesn’t have much free ti."
Alice Robinson said ruefully, "I know, but the soup I made for him is going to get cold."
Lisa Cecily looked at the thermos and said, "Should I inform the president?"
Alice Robinson quickly shook her head, "No need, I don’t want to disturb his work."
"Alright then!"
Alice Robinson patted the spot next to her, "Lisa, chat with for a while!"
Lisa Cecily nodded and then sat down beside Alice Robinson.
Alice Robinson intimately hooked her arm with Lisa’s and whispered, "Secretary Cecily, can I ask you a favor..."
"Please, Miss Robinson, just say it. As long as it’s within my capabilities, I’ll definitely help you."
"My dad’s health isn’t too good, and my uncle wants to go back to France for a bit. However, recently, ’Skytop’ is bidding for a big project, so Howard Geoffrey wants to stay in New York to handle things. He can’t accompany to France... So I was wondering if you could keep an eye on Howard Geoffrey for while I’m away?"
Lisa Cecily laughed softly, "Miss Robinson, you seem to be quite uneasy about the president?"
Alice Robinson looked embarrassed, "I do trust Howard Geoffrey completely, but you know, with so many pretty female colleagues at the company, and all those ladies surrounding him when he socializes..."
Lisa Cecily imdiately understood, "Don’t worry, I won’t let those ladies get a chance to get close to the president."
