Rebecca Quentin learned quickly this ti. As he picked her up and carried her toward the bed, she sensed sothing unpredictable was going to happen, and with a shaful annoyance, she bit his arm...
A man’s low curse echoed, and Rebecca Quentin got her wish of being thrown onto the bed by soone. As he simred with anger, she had already jumped off and put the greatest distance between them.
Seeing soone’s handso face turn displeased, Rebecca Quentin pressed her body against the wall and timidly said, "Don’t co any closer..."
The pain from her rciless bite on his arm made Howard Geoffrey walk straight toward her.
Rebecca Quentin anxiously scanned the room, finally darting into the bathroom.
To her surprise, the bathroom couldn’t be locked, nor was there anything to defend herself with. She ended up trapped in the bathroom, helplessly watching him co to the door.
Luckily, it seed she had indeed bitten hard and hurt him. He stood at the bathroom door with his sinister dark eyes staring at her but did not step inside.
Rebecca Quentin pressed her body tightly against the sink, looking at his dangerous and handso face with anxiety as she irritably said, "What is wrong with you? You already have a girlfriend, why are you bothering ? Last ti... last ti at the beach, I haven’t even dealt with you..."
Howard Geoffrey kept a serious face though his words were teasing, "How do you want to deal with it?"
"Don’t think that just because I didn’t tell the police... the truth last ti, you can be so audacious toward . We are no longer involved!!"
It’s baffling why he would leave his girlfriend and fly all the way from New York. Is it for business or so other reason...? Why is he entangled with her?
Howard Geoffrey’s tone was conciliatory, "Alright, co out first, and I promise I won’t do anything to you."
Rebecca Quentin glared at Howard Geoffrey resentfully, "I don’t want your promise; your promises never count."
Howard Geoffrey furrowed his brows, clearly disagreeing with Rebecca Quentin’s accusation. Generally, he followed through on his commitnts.
"You said the sa last ti at the beach, that you wouldn’t bully , but you lied, and in the end..." Thinking about how he had cunningly reversed his approach that ti, and she foolishly believed him, allowing him the chance, Rebecca Quentin felt so ashad she wanted to find a hole to disappear into.
Howard Geoffrey showed no guilt, instead, he answered matter-of-factly, "That doesn’t count."
Rebecca Quentin was so furious she gritted her teeth, "You’re twisting words."
"I’ll give you two choices: you co out, and I promise not to do anything, or I co in, and we’ll discuss the next issue in the bathroom together."
"No!!" Hearing Howard Geoffrey’s second option, Rebecca Quentin imdiately said, "I’ll choose the first."
Howard Geoffrey then retreated from the bathroom door.
Rebecca Quentin was still quite uneasy, glancing at his placidly handso face, asking softly, "You won’t go against your word, right?"
Howard Geoffrey leisurely eyed her, "Do you want to go against my word?"
Rebecca Quentin rushed out of the bathroom imdiately.
Returning to the spacious room, Rebecca Quentin felt a bit safer but still kept the greatest distance from Howard Geoffrey, holding a tal ornant from the hotel defensively as she watched him.
Seeing Rebecca Quentin’s fearful look, Howard Geoffrey’s lips curled into a smile, "Tonight you have to stay in this room with . Are you planning to guard against like this all night?"
Rebecca Quentin felt like she was being completely controlled by him, which made her even angrier with embarrassnt. "Let out!"
Disturbed by Rebecca Quentin’s actions, Howard Geoffrey felt the strong urge settle down a bit, realizing that forcing her might upset her and leave him unfulfilled. So, he decided to calm her down this ti, especially since the night was long.
"Stop causing trouble. I won’t let you leave tonight."
"On what grounds?"
"On the grounds that you’re in this room right now."
Rebecca Quentin was so angry that her teeth itched, "Howard Geoffrey!!"
Howard Geoffrey unhurriedly walked into the bathroom, "I’ll shower first, and you can decide whether to wash later... Oh, and don’t think about calling anyone for help with your phone or the hotel’s phone. I’m sure you wouldn’t want anyone to see the two of us spending the night together."
Rebecca Quentin had just picked up the phone on the bedside table when she heard Howard Geoffrey’s remark. Her hand paused from dialing, then angrily hung up and grabbed a pillow from the bed, throwing it forcefully toward Howard Geoffrey.
Unfortunately, Howard Geoffrey had already stepped into the bathroom, and the sound of running water could be heard.
Rebecca Quentin hugged a pillow, furiously tearing it.
Psycho, jerk...
Rebecca Quentin cursed him repeatedly in her heart but, due to her decent upbringing, could only co up with these few crude terms.
While inwardly criticizing him, she was also troubled about her current predicant.
What now?
She tried a few more tis earlier; as he said, the door couldn’t be opened from the inside. And yet, she couldn’t call the police...
If she had the guts to send him to jail, she wouldn’t have been so humiliated in New York last ti.
Getting more agitated, Rebecca Quentin could only vent her anger by continuously pulling on the pillow.
So, when Howard Geoffrey walked out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around him, he saw white feathers fluttering all over the room.
The little woman was clearly venting her anger, sitting at the bed’s edge, oblivious to the state she had left the pillow in, muttering complaints.
Howard Geoffrey smirked, "Do you hate that much?"
Hearing his voice, Rebecca Quentin snapped back to reality, and upon seeing the room filled with white feathers, she embarrassingly tossed the pillow aside and glared at him.
She originally planned to confront him, but the sight of him freshly showered, with just a towel wrapped around—a sensual and tempting display of his regularly exercised physique—left her unable to look at him directly. Her cheeks rapidly reddened, and she turned away, gritting her teeth, "Don’t go too far!"
Howard Geoffrey smiled and walked toward Rebecca Quentin.
Seeing him approach, Rebecca Quentin imdiately jumped up from the bed’s edge, moving to a spot far from him, looking cautious.
Howard Geoffrey calmly sat at the bed’s edge, his clear bright eyes looking toward her, gently patting the spot next to him, "Co here, sit here."
