The next day, XX International Airport in New York.
Rebecca Quentin watched her family and friends entering the security gate with reluctance.
Howard Geoffrey embraced Rebecca Quentin, his gaze also on the departing backs, "Everyone will gather again when there’s ti."
"I’m just a bit worried about Aunt Clare; she’s alone in T City."
"I’ll make sure she’s settled. If she wants, she can always co to New York and live with us."
Rebecca Quentin turned her face, and gratefully said, "Thank you."
Howard Geoffrey kissed Rebecca Quentin’s forehead lightly, "We’re a couple, no need to say thank you."
Rebecca Quentin smiled sweetly.
As the two gazed at each other lovingly, Andrew’s innocent voice chid in, "Daddy, Mommy..."
"Hmm?"
Rebecca Quentin turned her face and looked down at the little guy.
Andrew held one hand of Rebecca Quentin’s and the other of Howard Geoffrey’s, "I want you both to hold my hand."
Rebecca Quentin and Howard Geoffrey both smiled.
The next second, Howard Geoffrey picked up Andrew, "Daddy will carry you today, okay?"
Andrew stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
Howard Geoffrey was already carrying Andrew with one hand and holding Rebecca Quentin’s hand with the other as they left the airport.
Everyone left at once; although it was a little quieter, there were still plenty of people at Jones’ Mansion, and with Andrew the little one causing a ruckus every day, the house would never feel quiet.
At this mont, Rebecca Quentin sat on the sofa in the downstairs hall, chatting with Mrs. Geoffrey.
"Mom, these days Howard has been at ho with , and he’s delayed quite a bit of work at the company. He should deal with all the company matters before considering a vacation, plus I can’t bear to leave Andrew."
Mrs. Geoffrey was talking about her and Howard going on a vacation to Foam Island.
She knew Mrs. Geoffrey’s intentions; about the wedding, Mrs. Geoffrey felt Howard owed her a lot.
Mrs. Geoffrey said seriously, "I asked Howard this morning, and he said he could handle all the company’s matters in the next couple of days...He also promised you he would set aside his career to focus on you."
Rebecca Quentin gave a shallow smile, "Vacations are generally for young couples in love; Howard and I are like an ’old married couple,’ we don’t need that kind of romance."
Mrs. Geoffrey chuckled, "You still look like a little girl, but you talk like you’re older than your mom."
Rebecca Quentin was amused by Mrs. Geoffrey’s words, "Then it depends on Howard; if he has ti, we’ll go."
Mrs. Geoffrey then nodded satisfactorily.
Rebecca Quentin imdiately stood up, "Mom, I’ll go check on Andrew in the garden..."
Mrs. Geoffrey nodded with a smile, "Okay."
Rebecca Quentin walked to the garden and saw Andrew and a little girl slightly shorter than him, sitting on the lawn playing.
The little girl was very cute, with bright eyes unblinkingly fixed on the doll in Andrew’s hand. Her eyes were curved and big, clearly indicating she would grow up to be a lovely young woman.
Watching the two kids focused on playing with the doll, Rebecca Quentin couldn’t help but smile.
Just as Rebecca Quentin walked towards Andrew, a servant ran up to her in a hurry, calling nervously, "Young lady..."
Rebecca Quentin smiled, "Hmm?"
The servant bowed her head very low, as if she had made a mistake, and hesitantly said, "I’m sorry, I brought my granddaughter here without your permission...My son is divorced and has been busy working lately, unable to take care of her, and she happened to be on vacation these days, so I had no choice but to bring her here..."
Facing the servant’s apprehension, Rebecca Quentin responded with a gentle smile, "It’s okay, Aunt Ann. Children need companions, and you see how well the two kids are getting along..."
"But I’m just a servant, and the young master is..."
Rebecca Quentin imdiately interrupted the servant, "Don’t say that, making friends isn’t about status...Look how adorable your granddaughter is. If you don’t mind Andrew being naughty, you can often bring your granddaughter here to play with Andrew."
The servant looked up in disbelief, eyes filled with gratitude, and joyfully said, "Thank you, young lady."
Rebecca Quentin laughed softly, "You should go get so cookies; the kids must be hungry after playing for so long."
"Alright."
Sitting on the garden’s resting chair, Rebecca Quentin watched the two kids happily interacting.
Children are most innocent and carefree at this ti; she rembered she was also a very outgoing little girl when she was young, many kids in kindergarten loved to play with her...
