"Why do you lie to yourself? Just to win against Chester Robinson, are you willing to disregard your true feelings?" Becca struggled in every possible way but couldn’t escape Geoffrey’s embrace, turning her head in anger not to look at his handso face.
"My heart has long been honestly laid bare before you." Geoffrey fixed Becca’s face with his hand, locking eyes with her as he spoke affectionately.
"Stop lying to ..." Becca shouted in despair, "Are you still going to hide the fact that you care about Alice Robinson from ?"

Geoffrey roared in frustration, "Damn it, can you calm down and listen to for a mont?"

Seeing her becoming increasingly distant from him, his heart clenched tightly.
If hiding the truth from her results in her misunderstanding him and choosing to leave, then he must reveal the truth to her, regardless of her choice after hearing it, at least she won’t misunderstand that he doesn’t love her.

Becca sobbed uncontrollably, all the grievances buried deep in her heart erupted at this mont.
Geoffrey softly sighed and embraced Becca, enveloping her in a secure and protective hug.

Geoffrey smiled, leaping from a pit of despair into a blissful mont as if entering paradise.

Becca looked in disbelief at the scene before her—

Alice sat by the bedside, her gaze fixed on Chester, her complexion looking poor.
Becca covered her mouth, caught in a daze, yet her thoughts surged like a tide.
When she first heard from Roger Leonard about Chester’s uncertain state, she knew Chester’s condition wasn’t ideal...
But she never imagined Chester would beco a vegetative person lying before her at this mont.
Even though she resented his malicious approach and harm to her child when she was defenseless, seeing him like this stirred infinite emotions in her heart.
No matter what, he was once her most trusted "Doctor Robinson," and facing this truth is a tough reality to swallow.
"The doctor says he could wake up in a few days, or a few months, or it might take years..."
Becca stared blankly at Alice, who spoke at that mont.
