Skyler Jones laughed heartily, "I think Councilor Gibson, you might have to give up that thought, because having such a wife who is revered as a goddess by the world, I’ll only double my love for her."
Jonathon Gibson raised his glass, regretfully saying, "It seems I can only continue searching for my goddess... Anyway, I wish you all the best."

After so drinks, Skyler Jones’s phone vibrated.
"Sorry, I need to take a call."
"Please go ahead."
Skyler Jones took out his phone, glanced at the number displayed, then pressed the answer button, "Honey."
Christine Quinn on the other end was montarily stunned by Skyler’s intimate greeting, only responding after a few seconds, "Where are you?"
"At a gathering."
"Mom said today is your birthday, and she wants you to co ho early so we can have dinner together as a family."
"I’ll be ho early."
"Okay."
As soon as Christine Quinn ended the call, Rebecca Quentin sitting across from her hurriedly asked, "So, is brother-in-law coming ho today?"
Christine nodded, "He said he’ll be ho early."
"I wonder what he’s been busy with all day. I haven’t seen him in ages."
"He’s been busy with the TSOL project lately, you know. The bid for the project is coming up soon."
"Sis, what’s up between you and brother-in-law?"
"Becca, please don’t call him that, I’m not used to it."
"But that’s his role now, isn’t it!"
Christine Quinn frowned, looking helplessly at Rebecca Quentin.
Rebecca chuckled, "Sis, do you know what Marie told today?"
"What?"
"She heard that Howard Geoffrey and I are trying for another child, and she said she wants to urge you and brother-in-law to give her a little brother."
Rebecca Quentin had barely finished speaking when Christine’s cheeks turned red. "Ridiculous."
Rebecca Quentin gently hugged the embarrassed Christine, "I think it’s bound to happen sooner or later, just not in a rush, take your ti."
Christine glared at her sister in frustration, "Are you joining Marie in her nonsense too?"
Rebecca imdiately put on a serious face, "I’m not being ridiculous; aren’t you and brother-in-law getting along well recently?"
Getting along well, yeah... quite well indeed.
Ever since they reached a ceasefire agreent, for more than a month now, she and he haven’t been at odds.
He no longer responds to her with sarcasm or barbed comnts, often speaking to her politely, while she reciprocates with equal courtesy, as if they had inadvertently reached a state of respectful harmony.
Just like when she called him earlier, he not only picked up imdiately but also responded politely; it’s just that the term of endearnt he used isn’t frequent.
"What were you thinking?"
Rebecca waved a hand in front of Christine’s face.
Christine ca back to her senses, "Nothing... It’s not as you all think between us."
"But everything seems to be slowly getting better, right?"
Is it slowly getting better?
No... she knows now it’s just the calm before the storm, but she won’t be afraid when the storm cos.
"Let’s not talk about anymore... Anyway, I haven’t heard you ntion Howard Geoffrey and Catherine Swift recently?"

Mrs. Geoffrey heard the sisters’ laughter even outside the door.
"What are you discussing that’s making you so happy?"
Seeing Mrs. Geoffrey enter, both Rebecca Quentin and Christine Quinn stood up at the sa ti, simultaneously calling, "Mom..."
Having acted in front of Marie for quite so ti, Christine gradually got used to calling Mrs. Geoffrey by that title.
Mrs. Geoffrey walked over to her daughters-in-law with a kind smile, "I’m here to discuss Skyler’s birthday with Christine."
