When Skyler Jones returned to the room, Christine Quinn was sitting by the large window, gazing at the scenery outside.
The atmosphere was completely different from just a mont ago.
"Christine."
Skyler called out softly.
Christine snapped out of her thoughts, stood up, and went over to handle his wheelchair, pushing him into the room.
"About Jennifer Douglas just now..."
Christine pushed Skyler to the sofa and then sat down on it herself before looking at him. "I’m fine... Becca already told about Jennifer Douglas going to New York to find you."
Skyler took Christine’s hand, "You have to believe , I only did it to provoke you back then..." At that ti, everything was a contradiction.
On one hand, he didn’t want her to have it easy, yet also wanted to see if she cared about him...
So conflicted for so many years, ultimately leading to so much accumulated hurt.
"I believe you..."
Skyler lifted Christine’s hand and softly kissed it, "Your hand is so cold."
Christine smiled, "Then warm it for ..."
"Okay."
Skyler then placed Christine’s hand on his chest.
She was taken aback, "Aren’t you supposed to warm it up for ?"
Skyler smiled faintly, "I want to warm you with my heart."
Christine smiled sweetly, "You fool."
The two gazed at each other affectionately.
Just then, Christine’s phone rang.
Christine took out her phone to check.
It was Becca.
She smiled at Skyler, "Sorry, I need to take this call, it’s Becca..."
"Alright."
Christine walked to the window and pressed the answer button, "Becca."
"Sis, I’m sorry I’ve been busy with prenatal checkups these days and couldn’t answer your calls..."
"Oh, it’s nothing. I just wanted to tell you that Skyler and I are in Y City."
"I know, Howard told , and I also heard from Howard that Jonathon Gibson went to New York alone... Haha, sis, are you planning to get back together with Mr. Jones?" Rebecca Quentin laughed mischievously.
Christine glanced at Skyler, who was not far away but couldn’t hear her conversation with Rebecca, and smiled, "You’re right, I agreed to be with him."
Rebecca had always anticipated such a result, but when she actually heard Christine announce this outco, she was shocked, "Oh my... Sis, are you serious?" She always thought it would be difficult for Mr. Jones to win back her stubborn sister.
"Yes."
"Tell ... how did you suddenly change your mind?"
"Becca, is there anyone with you right now?"

"No, I’m coming to Y City right now." Rebecca Quentin was already sobbing uncontrollably.
Christine said sternly, "You’re about to give birth; how can you co here?"
Rebecca Quentin replied tearfully, "I can’t just watch you die... there has to be another way."
"Fool, I’m fine, aren’t I talking to you just fine now? I’m telling you this because I know you can face it strongly. If you can’t, I’ll never tell you my matters again in the future."

"Okay, enough, it’s late there, get so sleep... Rember, don’t co to Y City, or I’ll be very upset."

Without giving Rebecca a chance to say more, Christine interrupted, "I’m hanging up. I promise you I’ll take good care of myself, and if anything happens with my health, I’ll let you know imdiately."
