Taking out her phone, she glanced at the number displayed and walked aside coolly, pressing the answer button, "Hello."
"Miss Quinn, it’s ."
"Miss Douglas, what do you want to discuss?"
"I heard about the incident at the L.A. construction site..."
"Just say what you want to say directly!"
"Oversky’s leg wasn’t injured; it’s... incurable, right?"
Christine Quinn originally wanted to explain to Jennifer Douglas, but her very concerned tone made Christine uncomfortable, so she remained silent.
