Christine Quinn’s acting was not bad, she actually fooled Skyler Jones.

"Don’t say that." Christine stopped Skyler from speaking more self-cursing words, choking up, "I don’t want you saying such self-cursing things..."
Skyler adjusted Christine’s position so they faced each other, sincerely saying, "I just want you to believe..."
Christine’s nose tinged with sourness once again.
Skyler quickly pulled Christine into his arms, closing his eyes, whispering in her ear, "I don’t want to settle for other won in the world, the woman I want is only you."
Christine cried on Skyler’s shoulder, gradually holding onto him...
Finally getting her response, he joyfully hugged her tighter, constantly whispering apologies in her ear...
This night finally passed.
The next day.
After last night’s events, Skyler was more attentive to Christine.
When Christine woke early, she found herself still in Skyler’s embrace, and he hadn’t slept, watching her all night with open eyes.
"You... didn’t sleep at all last night?" Christine asked, looking at Skyler’s red eyes from staying up.
Skyler nodded.
Christine frowned, "Why didn’t you sleep?"
Skyler bowed his head and placed a kiss on Christine’s forehead, softly saying, "I was scared you’d leave while I was asleep."
Seeing his loss of usual pride and confidence, his eyes filled with the cautiousness and panic of a child, she suddenly reached out to hug him, "You’re so silly... I never said I’d leave you."
"I can’t be without you, Christine, I..."
"Stop it... let’s pretend that never happened and never ntion it again."
"Okay."
Christine tenderly stroked his face that seed to thin from staying up all night, her heart aching, "Who’s as silly as you? If I really wanted to leave, do you think you could stop ?"
He nervously wrapped his arms around her waist, "You’re not really going to leave, right?"
Christine pinched Skyler’s face, "I can’t bear to leave you, let alone Marie..."
Skyler finally smiled, "Even if you wanted to leave, it’s a delusion, I won’t let you leave ever again."
"So, can I take a step away now, get up, shower, and then go to the hospital to see Becca?"
"Let’s go together!"
"Huh?"
True to his word, Skyler wasn’t willing to leave Christine for a mont, carrying her to the bathroom.
In the morning bathroom, it welcod the loving laughter of a man and woman.
Hospital.
In the ward, Christine was contentedly teasing the newborn baby in her arms, "Hey, little princess, you’re so cute, open your eyes to see Auntie, don’t be such a sleepyhead, little lazy bug..."
Rebecca Quentin leaned against the headboard; seeing Christine teasing her daughter, her face showed no hint of a smile.
Christine couldn’t help but say, "Rebecca Quentin, enough already... I’m standing right in front of you, so don’t look so sad. I’m tough, not so easy to die."
