Christine Quinn imdiately stood up, picked up her bag, and walked out of the private room.
At the very end of the hallway, Christine entered the restroom and imdiately took out her cellphone, dialing a number.
It was nightti in Y City, and Skyler Jones had just finished showering and stepped out of the bathroom.
Hearing his phone vibrate, he took it out and saw that Christine was calling him. Eagerly, he answered, "Christine..."
"Oversky, are you asleep?"
"Not yet."
"I’m sorry for calling you so late..."
"It’s okay, I’m happy you called ." Leaning against the window, Skyler’s freshly showered face appeared even more gentle and elegant.
"Oversky, I don’t want any misunderstandings between us, so I want to confirm sothing with you..."
"What is it?"
"Jennifer Douglas isn’t worthy of your sympathy. That slap she got from mom was sothing she orchestrated herself; she’s staging it all just to win your pity."
Listening to Christine, Skyler’s excited eyes dimd slightly, his breath carried a hint of fatigue, "You’ve been thinking about this issue since you were in New York?"
"If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have had any rift between us... She knows the feelings we share are solid, breaking them with force is impossible, so she chose to retreat as a form of advance, pretending to be kind in front of you to win your sympathy."
"Christine, is there nothing else you want to say to ?"

Jennifer quickly squatted down, supporting Christine, "Miss Quinn, Miss Quinn, are you alright?"
Christine leaned against Jennifer, weakly saying, "I... My heart hurts so much..."
Jennifer knew about Christine’s heart condition, and beca very anxious, "Do you have dicine? Or..."
Christine tightly clutched her chest, hoarsely saying, "Call soone, send to the hospital..."
"Okay, wait for a mont, you must hold on."
Jennifer quickly ran out of the restroom after laying Christine down.
After Jennifer left, Christine took the phone out from the drawer, speaking to Skyler on the other end, "Just wait and see, Jennifer Douglas won’t co back, even if she does, she won’t send for treatnt imdiately."
The other end remained silent.
Christine placed the phone back into the drawer.
To Christine’s surprise, Jennifer soon returned, but she was alone...
Jennifer kept whispering by Christine’s ear, "Miss Quinn, Miss Quinn... Wake up, you can’t fall asleep, you have to hold on..."
Not sending her to the hospital imdiately but pretending with fake calls here, Christine couldn’t help but curse inwardly.
Just as Christine was about to wake up to expose Jennifer’s hypocrisy, several club staff hurriedly rushed into the restroom with the club’s ergency dical kit...
Seeing Christine unconscious, the staff were all terrified...
Jennifer, seeing the d kit, quickly instructed everyone, "Don’t move her, everyone step back."
The staff imdiately stepped back.
Jennifer opened the d kit and after finding the oxygen mask inside, she placed it over Christine’s mouth, saying, "I took dical classes before; I know heart attack victims shouldn’t be moved. Until the paradics arrive, let’s keep her lying still, administer oxygen, maintain her vital signs..."
"Luckily you know first aid, otherwise..." one of the staff praised admiringly.
Jennifer calmly asked the staff, "Have the paradics arrived?"
"Yes, they’re on the way."
Upon hearing this, Christine’s heart trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes.
Seeing Christine awake, Jennifer was overjoyed, "Miss Quinn, you’re awake?"
