Skyler Jones suddenly stood up, his back facing Christine Quinn, without answering.
Christine Quinn followed suit, standing by Skyler Jones, and said softly, "Are you still angry about scheming against Jennifer Douglas?"
"That matter is not worth ntioning to ." Skyler Jones answered Christine Quinn indifferently.
"Then why did you return to New York but not go ho?" No wonder Becca saw him coming out of a high-end hotel that day; it turned out he really returned to New York but didn’t go ho to see her.
Skyler Jones slowly turned around, looking calmly at Christine Quinn, "That’s right, I really don’t want to face you."
"Why?" Christine Quinn looked at Skyler Jones in puzzlent.
Skyler Jones’s expression was deep and cold, his gaze like a sharp sword sweeping over Christine Quinn, "Why? Don’t you have anything to tell ?"
Christine Quinn’s eyes grew more confused, "I don’t know what you’re referring to..."
Skyler Jones suddenly pulled Christine Quinn in, staring at her coldly, "When we separated, Jonathon Gibson took care of you, so I can understand that after he gave you warmth and care, whatever happened between you... But I don’t like you acting all pure and innocent in front of after you’ve clearly been involved with soone else. You’re very hypocritical, you know?"
Upon hearing what Skyler Jones said, Christine Quinn staggered back a step, looking at Skyler Jones in disbelief, "You... what did you say?"
"Didn’t I make myself clear enough?" Obviously, anger had been brewing in Skyler Jones’s heart for a long ti, finally exploding at this mont, causing Skyler Jones to shout.
Christine Quinn staggered back a few steps, constantly shaking her head, "I didn’t... I didn’t... I have no relationship with Jonathon Gibson whatsoever..."
"Even now, you’re still unwilling to be honest?"
"I didn’t!!" Christine Quinn shouted loudly.
"Then where did these co from?" Skyler Jones questioned as he slamd a stack of photos, which ca out of nowhere, in front of Christine Quinn.
Christine Quinn stared blankly at the scattered photos on the ground, her body suddenly retreating several steps.
Skyler Jones coldly uttered, "These photos can’t be faked... so how do you expect to face you?"
Christine Quinn’s eyes turned vacant.
Skyler Jones had already turned coldly to leave.
Secretary Joel ran hurriedly with a dicine box but did not expect to see Skyler Jones leaving Christine Quinn coldly. Not understanding the situation in front of him, Secretary Joel could only stand dazed at the office door.
Christine Quinn went back alone.
On the way back, she leaned blankly on the seat, her eyes vacant as she gazed at the scenery outside the car window.
The family driver saw Christine Quinn’s lost expression and couldn’t help but ask, "Madam, didn’t you see Mr. Jones at the company?"
Christine Quinn shook her head dazedly, not responding.
The driver was a bit worried but didn’t dare to ask further, only thinking to ntion this to the madam when they returned.
"Uncle Piers." Christine Quinn suddenly spoke.
The driver slowed the car speed, "Hmm?"
"Stop by the roadside for now; I made a call, and I’m not going ho yet." Christine Quinn instructed the driver.
"Yes."
After the driver stopped the car by the roadside, Christine Quinn took out her phone and dialed a string of numbers powerlessly; the phone soon connected, "Hello..."
"Christine."
"Jonathon, are you in New York?"
"Hmm."
"I want to et with you, is now convenient?"
"Convenient, where to et?"
"At the café we often chat at!"
"Alright."
After finishing the conversation with Jonathon Gibson, Christine Quinn instructed the driver to head toward the café she agreed on with Jonathon Gibson.
Twenty minutes later.
When Christine Quinn arrived at the café, Jonathon Gibson was already there.
Jonathon Gibson chose a spot by the window, quite peaceful.
When Christine Quinn saw Jonathon Gibson, her steps paused as if hesitant, but she still walked toward Jonathon Gibson in hesitation.
Jonathon Gibson gentlemanly pulled out a chair for Christine Quinn.
Christine Quinn politely said, "Thank you."
Jonathon Gibson’s face was as gentle as always, "Still Blue Mountain Coffee?" he asked softly.
Christine Quinn shook her head, "I don’t want to drink anything."
"What’s wrong? You don’t look well." Jonathon Gibson furrowed his brows, showing concern.
Christine Quinn spoke directly in a slightly hoarse voice, "Jonathon, I need to ask you sothing."
"Hmm, go ahead."
