The people hindering the Mingyue project, Fang Yongxing and his group probably would never guess, were actually the original inhabitants of the land, the villagers who sold the property.
In various parts of the country, it’s quite common for villagers who sold their land to regret it and want to reclaim it, especially after seeing the land they sold rapidly increase in value, far exceeding the price at which they initially sold it.
The villagers caused trouble, demanding additional compensation from the developers. The developers, sticking to the contract, refused to pay.
The villagers, with little awareness of legal contracts, then resorted to all sorts of inhumane tactics to force the developers to compromise.
For instance, causing disturbances at the construction site, blocking roads, spreading rumors, and so on. They kept escalating their actions, aiming to pressure the developers into a compromise without any legal recourse.
Therefore, Changda had designated personnel to enter the village and negotiate with the village committee about this matter, but the slow pace of the talks was unexpected for the upper managent at Changda.
The main issue was that the villagers started demanding too high a price, which Changda couldn’t accept. Since this incident involved the safety of the project itself, it was directly linked to the responsibilities of the departnt headed by Zhan Dapeng. After hearing what Xiao Yebai said, Zhan Dapeng felt uneasy and imdiately conducted a private investigation at the site.
Based on initial assessnts from the scene and statents from the construction workers, there was indeed a possibility that soone had intentionally caused the incident.
Fang Yongxing and his team’s investigation today likely led to the sa conclusion. However, unlike Zhan Dapeng, who operated discreetly like a thief stealing chickens, they openly revealed their identities, which attracted the attention of the other party and led to the resultant mishap.

Xiao Yebai spread the cloth between them.
It shockingly bore a ssage in red letters: "Two people are trapped on the top floor of Mingyue Plaza, help!"
Without delay, Zang Xiaolian accelerated.
At the construction site, Zhan Dapeng had arrived and stood in front of the large iron gate at the site’s entrance.
He was stunned to see the site’s only gate tightly closed, secured with two hefty chains and locks, and sealed with a notice halting construction.
Looking inside, the site was pitch dark, no security guards in sight, and no sign of anyone around.
