Now reading: Chapter 1367: The Deal (Part 2) from Contract Marriage: Billionaire and His Deaf Wife, a Romance novel by Fatty Mom is kind-hearted.

The noodles too—those machine-made ones are definitely not as good as handmade. Gu Nuan had soone go over to the Chinese restaurant to get so freshly made hand-pulled noodles, to buy a bit.

Busy like this, ti slipped by without her noticing. From ti to ti, she walked back to her son’s bedroom door to see how he was doing. As long as she saw her older son inside, no matter what he was doing, just seeing he was there made her feel a little more at ease.

As for her husband, his mood was probably even more anxious than hers. So she didn’t call him on her own initiative to ask.

By the ti the noodles went into the pot, it was dark. Zang Xiaolian suddenly called, saying soone was coming over to her place.

Before Gu Nuan had ti to ask who it was, the doorbell rang.

She turned off the gas and went over to open the door first.

As soon as the door opened, the wind outside was a bit strong tonight. Seeing Ou Yanan in just a simple shirt, travel-worn and dusty, not even having had ti to put on a coat, standing in front of her, Gu Nuan felt a sudden heat in her chest.

"What are you doing here?"

Ou Yanan’s voice was hoarse, clearly from rushing over without even having ti to drink so water. He said, "With sothing this serious happening, how could I not co?"

"How did you get here, did you fly?" Gu Nuan thought that even if he got the news and booked a ticket to co, it shouldn’t have been this fast.

Ou Yanan rested his hand on her shoulder and said, "Let co in first."

Only then did Gu Nuan rember they were standing in the windy doorway talking. She hurriedly stepped aside to let him in, then shut the door.

After he walked into the room, Ou Yanan looked around.

Knowing who he was looking for, Gu Nuan said, "Lingxin is in his room."

"Do you need to go take a look at him?"

When he asked that, a flicker of puzzlent flashed in Gu Nuan’s eyes.

"Here’s the thing. My brother-in-law called . He said he’s away and can’t make it back ho right now. There can’t be not a single man at ho, with only won and children there. His people can’t get away for the mont either, so he sent a private plane to Camon Winery to pick up."

Gu Nuan hadn’t expected Big Bai to be this thoughtful. He must have realized sothing was off with her mood when he left.

After all, being a mother is not quite the sa as being a father. A child is like a piece of flesh cut from a mother’s body—once that piece goes missing, that pain is definitely worse for the mother than for the father.

Ou Yanan’s serious eyes studied her complexion. "Do you need to borrow my shoulder?"

Hearing this, Gu Nuan couldn’t help feeling a bit torn between laughing and crying: words like that didn’t sound like sothing he would say at all.

As for what she was thinking, Ou Yanan certainly wouldn’t admit it. He said, "No matter what, I’m still your younger brother."

Gu Nuan was taken aback; she hadn’t expected him to bring up that relationship on his own. The two of them had only acknowledged each other like this a few days ago.

As her younger brother, and thus counted as a son of the Gu Family, Ou Yanan said, "About this, your brother-in-law and I discussed it—we’ll keep it from the elders back ho for now, don’t tell anyone."

That made sense. Never mind whether Old Madam Xiao could withstand the blow of suddenly losing her dream of four generations under one roof. Just Gu Dad and Gu Mom—those two little monkeys were raised with such hard work by them. They would probably be the first ones who couldn’t bear such a heavy blow.

"He sent soone to pick you up, but aren’t his two older sisters there? Don’t they know?" Gu Nuan worried the news might leak out through that silly third brother’s mouth.

"No, they don’t know." Ou Yanan said, "Your brother-in-law’s done an extrely tight job on confidentiality. It wasn’t until I got on the plane that he called and told the truth. Before that he only said he needed a doctor over here to help."

After talking with him for a bit, Gu Nuan gradually cald down; her head cleared. She said, "Sit for a while, I’ll go get you a glass of water. The wind outside is cold—I can see it’s chapped your face—"
