Xiao Yebai didn’t seem at all moved by the remarks about the dog, only casting a thin, mocking smile towards the German Shepherd that brought the ball back: "I didn’t raise you to miss ."
The German Shepherd holding the ball suddenly looked dejected, dropping its head low.
The dog trainer shivered upon hearing these words.
What kind of person was this man, devoid of emotions? Even towards a dog?
Xiao Yebai said to the Xiao family butler who ca out to greet him, "I’m just here to move my bed, I was supposed to move it yesterday, but I didn’t have the ti."
On hearing this, the butler grew worried, "Is the young master planning to live outside permanently now?"
"Haven’t I always been living outside?" Xiao Yebai said.
"But the forr young master never moved the bed. Should we wait for the madam and the chairman to return?" The butler’s hands rubbed together anxiously, his worries unassuaged.
"Ah, isn’t my grandma here?" Xiao Yebai asked.
"The madam went out early for a tea party this morning. The young master didn’t notify us in advance that you were coming ho."
"There’s no need to specially inform my grandma, it’s just moving a bed."
After exchanging a few words with the butler, Xiao Yebai stepped through the grand entrance of the Xiao family.
Inside the living room, two won sat. One was peeling the in-season fruit, durian. The other pinched her nose to avoid the sll of the fruit.
Xiaolian recognized these two won—they were the Xiao family’s second and third daughters, Xiao Shulan and Xiao Shuju.
Xiao Yebai seed as if he didn’t see them and headed straight towards the stair’s handrail, preparing to go upstairs to his second-floor room.
Xiao Shuju called out, her mouth still reeking of durian, "Yebai, Yebai—"
Seeing that her brother seed not to hear her, she jumped up and ran in front of Xiao Yebai, blocking him, "Didn’t you hear calling you?"
"I saw third sister eating, and I was afraid she’d bite her tongue if she talked while eating," Xiao Yebai said.
Hearing his seemingly sarcastic remark, Xiao Shuju just smiled blankly, holding up a piece of peeled durian and asked him, "Do you want so?"
Xiao Yebai deliberately glanced at Xiao Shulan: "You offer so but not to second sister?"
"Your second sister doesn’t like this stuff, she finds the sll too strong."
"You enjoy," Xiao Yebai said, then turned and continued walking.
Xiao Shuju could only continue chasing after him, obviously having sothing to say but unable to start.
Thus, Xiao Shulan had had enough, calling out on her behalf, "Yebai, co here, I have sothing to ask you—"
The elder sister’s aura seed to explode suddenly.
As if ready to severely scold an unfilial brother.
Xiaolian and the butler’s hearts raced instantly.
Xiao Yebai turned back coldly, one hand on the railing, facing down the two tigresses of the Xiao family with a slight curl of his lip, "Did second sister rash out because her husband was casting flirtatious glances at nurses in the hospital and she can only vent her frustration at ho?"
Xiao Shulan’s face imdiately flushed with anger, but restraining herself, she coughed, "Your brother-in-law is a very proper man—"
"Yes, a waist injury and a month in the hospital. I hear brother-in-law wants to stay another half a year."
Xiao Shulan felt pained and angry at her brother’s venomous tongue. On one hand, upset by his words, and on the other, recalling the guess she and her husband had made as well as the basket of flowers he sent, she grimaced, "You have the nerve to talk about your brother-in-law, not ntioning yourself."
"?" Xiao Yebai slowly and leisurely pulled at his sagging sleeves.
On closer inspection, Xiao Shuju saw her brother looking as if he’d grown taller in just a few days, indeed a handso figure. No wonder her stepdaughter ntioned, lanting yet determined, that she wants to relentlessly pursue Xiao Yebai.
