Yesterday there was a thunderstorm, but today the sky is clear and bright, confirming the saying that there are no lingering rains in sumr.
Gu Nuan opened her suitcase and picked out one of her favorite silver-striped shirts, along with a green silk scarf to match. This outfit not only avoided being excessively solemn but also brought a refreshing touch of green to the typically black-and-white formal setting.
Wearing clothes she liked made her feel more confident.
Gu Nuan looked at her watch—it was seven-thirty. The exam at Changda was set for nine o’clock, the typical start ti for office workers.
She had left early, precisely to avoid traffic jams. Her place wasn’t very close to the technopark where Changda’s headquarters was located.
Taking the subway and then transferring to a bus, losing an hour was quite normal.
Riding public transportation in the city was always very crowded. While on the subway, Gu Nuan went from a stop swarming with people to one that was less so, which showed that the technopark was situated in the relatively remote suburbs.
When alighting from the train, she occasionally saw a few who appeared to be about her age, all dressed formally in suits and ties. Perhaps because of an implicit understanding, Gu Nuan felt that not only was she observing them, but they were also observing her.
From the subway station to the bus that went to Changda’s gate, there was a direct line, and the bus quickly filled up with passengers as well.
At that ti, Gu Nuan had not yet encountered Su Yixia. She rembered Su Yixia ntioning that she planned to drive herself to Changda.
Driving on her own could be less convenient if there was a traffic jam. Besides, Gu Nuan always felt that soone going for an interview at a company would seem sowhat impolite if they arrived in their own car.
However, Su Yixia was bubbling with excitent, so Gu Nuan didn’t want to say anything to dampen her spirits.
While on the bus, Gu Nuan received a text from Su Yixia saying she had arrived and was looking for a parking space.
Suddenly, a voice erged next to her, tapping her on the shoulder, "You’re Gu Nuan from class three, right?"
Gu Nuan looked up to see a new face beside her.
A woman was smiling at her, about the sa age, with wavy long hair, also dressed formally with a shirt, a black blazer, and a suit skirt.
How did she look? Not as beautiful as the stunning Su Yixia, but compared to the slim Gu Nuan, her face was rounder and more fair and rosy.
Gu Nuan thought for a mont, she seed to recall soone like this in her mory.
"Forgot? I’m your next-door neighbor. I know you only get along with a few people you know, so it’s no surprise you don’t rember us."
This woman’s "next door" wasn’t referring to the dormitory next to Gu Nuan. Gu Nuan, no matter how solitary, wouldn’t fail to recognize a neighbor she saw every day.
Gu Nuan rembered, "Are you from the school’s broadcasting station? The publicity departnt?"
To be more precise, she was the head of the publicity departnt and the station manager at their student council.
Qin Sinan’s lips curled slightly as she said, "You still rember, but as I recall, you can’t hear, right?" As she spoke, she communicated with Gu Nuan using paper and pen while exchanging words with the man next to her.
Gu Nuan only rembered Qin Sinan, a quite renowned female student council officer at their school, didn’t seem to be studying finance.
"I’m studying law," Qin Sinan confird her mory, "It just so happened that I heard Changda was recruiting from our school, so I ca here with an attitude of giving it a try. From what I’ve seen, there aren’t many from our school here for the Changda interview."
Because first, they had to pass the hidden test set by Fu Yubo.
Qin Sinan, unaware of this, just thought it was strange and ntioned, "I happened to have t that senior, Fu, during an interview before."
