If one truly had the intention to secretly go through public relations to get into Changda, would they need to cozy up to the interviewer at this ti? Everything would have been arranged beforehand. Moreover, even though Zhan Dapeng is a director, a mid-to-senior level executive at Changda, there are others above him, more powerful executives who have the final say, and there are plenty of them.
Only a clown would perform such a desperate act of last-minute flattery here.
"Is she from your school?"
Qin Sinan couldn’t react imdiately, only to see her boyfriend suddenly nudging her arm and whispering questions about Gu Nuan.

"What’s up, do you think she’s quite pitiable?" Qin Sinan asked Xu Zhilin nonchalantly.
Xu Zhilin looked at her incredulously. "What? Pitiable?"
"She’s deaf, didn’t I tell you before?" Qin Sinan said.
Maybe Wa Zicong dated Gu Nuan out of pity because she was deaf, Qin Sinan thought.
Xu Zhilin shrugged his shoulders, clearly feeling that his words and Qin Sinan’s were not on the sa page, like talking to a duck.
Qin Sinan waited for a while, but seeing Xu Zhilin not continuing the conversation, her eyebrows knitted tightly.
The applicants who ca for the interview had obviously first submitted their resus and received interview invitations from Changda’s HR departnt before coming here. Therefore, the sequence of the interviews had been arranged in advance by Changda.
Su Yixia had originally thought that on arriving here, she would first take a written test, like in civil service exams, written first and then interviewed. Of course, she had heard that so companies don’t do written tests and go straight to interviews.
But since Changda was a large corporation hiring fresh graduates, Su Yixia always assud there would be a written test. It appears that Changda doesn’t pay much heed to written test scores.
Upon reflection, it made sense. They were all students fresh out of school. No matter how good their grades were in university, once at a company, in society, what matters is the work you produce, which is entirely different from passing exams in school. In society, there are a myriad of criteria for evaluation, far from the simplicity of an academic test paper. This perspective explained why Zhan Dapeng treated all these interviewees indifferently — none caught his eye, and it was for this reason.
Right now, they’re all just blank slates, nothing to fear.
