Capítulo 1002: Chapter 1003: So, You Cried for Eight Days?
Her vision was blurred by tears, she couldn’t see his face clearly.
Still, she walked over, her face looking even more disheveled from sobbing.
It wasn’t until she approached that Li Yuan propped himself up.
Not sure if it was because of the car accident or lying down for too long, he seed to struggle a bit getting up.
Seeing him try to get up, Fu Ziheng instinctively wanted to stop him, but seeing Huo Yishan standing by the bed, he swallowed his words back down.
With her there, what need was there to speak?
Watching the two in front of him, Fu Ziheng, as soone who had been there before, had a subtle smile at the corner of his mouth, then turned and left the ward.
“What are you doing?”
Seeing him trying to get up, Huo Yishan instinctively spoke, with two lines of tear marks still on her face.
He looked up and gave her a glance, “It’s nothing, once awake, I won’t die.”
His tone seed relaxed, but Huo Yishan couldn’t relax.
“You’ve been seriously injured…” her voice, hoarse with a sob, and her eyes, puffy beyond recognition.
Who would tell him how long he had been unconscious? And how had she ended up in such a state?
A thousand words couldn’t compare to a loving gaze, even less to the action of holding her tenderly in his arms.
As he embraced her, feeling her cold body, it was his first warmth upon waking.
“How long was I asleep?”
“Eight days…”
“So, you’ve been crying for eight days?”
He slightly lowered his head, looking at her ssy, troubled face, and the strands scattered across her forehead.
She lifted her tearful eyes to et his deep, tender gaze, then lowered them again without answering.
He didn’t speak either, just continued to stare at her. In just eight days, she looked like a different person, sickly and frail.
After a while, Huo Yishan finally raised her head, more concerned about his injuries.
His head suffered a severe impact, and there were also serious lacerations elsewhere.
“How are you feeling? Is there anywhere uncomfortable?”
Staring at her swollen eyes, listening to her hoarse voice, he felt a heartache he had never experienced before.
“There is.”
She was startled, “Where? I’ll call the doctor imdiately!”
Saying so, she pushed him away, about to call the Doctor!
In the next second, he pulled her back into his arms, “The heart is uncomfortable, the Doctor can’t cure it.”
She froze, her face pressed against his warm chest, feeling the rhythm of his heartbeat.
“How can the heart be uncomfortable?” she asked, confused, looking up.
Li Yuan stared at her for a few seconds, but ultimately did not explain, “Maybe, from lying down for too long.”
Her tearful eyes blurred, her face bewildered.
He brushed the disheveled strands off her forehead, staring at her swollen eyes, pale face, not knowing how to ease his heartache.
“You look so ugly right now.”
She paused, suddenly looking up, then pushed him away!
He instinctively clutched his chest, furrowing his brow tightly, “Oof!”
She thought she had hit his injured spot, and for a mont, was flustered and at a loss.
“What happened? Did I hurt you?”
As she spoke, tears began to fall uncontrollably again.
Li Yuan’s expression froze, and suddenly, it didn’t hurt anymore.
“It’s fine, please don’t cry anymore.”
If she continued, her eyes would probably go blind.
She sniffled, pausing slightly, looking up at him, “Doesn’t it hurt anymore?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief.
“Huo Yishan.” He suddenly stared at her, his gaze serious.
