The man propped his forehead, his thick lashes drooped slightly, and that gently closed-eyed appearance suddenly dispelled the tension in Feng Jinglei’s heart.

After a while, Feng Jinglei ca to her senses, gently covering the man dressed in suit and tie with a blanket, her movents light, as if afraid of waking the sleeping man.
But wouldn’t he be uncomfortable sleeping like this all night?
Turning around, she went back to the hospital bed and crawled into the covers again.
Feeling the shadow in front of him retreat, Qin Feimo slowly opened his eyes but didn’t lift his head. Instead, he continued to gaze silently at the dark gray blanket covering him, sothing in his heart stirred.

Perhaps because she slept a bit late, the next morning at seven twenty-six, Feng Jinglei slowly opened her eyes as the nurse called out to her.
“Miss Feng, let asure your blood pressure.” The nurse smiled, standing beside the bed with a blood pressure monitor ready for asurent.
Once it was confird there were no issues, she could be discharged.
Feng Jinglei rolled up her sleeves, extended her arm toward the nurse, and asked, “Can I be discharged today?”
The doctor said to be observed for two days, today is the third day, I should be able to be discharged, right?
The nurse glanced at her with a smile, “Once your attending doctor confirms there are no complications, you can be discharged!”
Upon hearing she could be discharged, Feng Jinglei smiled, “Thank you.”
With normal blood pressure, the nurse packed up her things and gave Feng Jinglei a slight smile before turning to leave.
As the nurse left, Feng Jinglei inadvertently raised her gaze and saw the sofa across the bed, suddenly rembering Qin Feimo’s presence, startled.
When did he leave?
As she was thinking, the ward door was pushed open again.
Her gaze swept over, and she saw Qin Feimo carrying breakfast, walking in.
Qin Feimo walked in, a bit surprised to see her awake, but his handso and deep face remained impassive, carrying breakfast over, placing it on the coffee table before turning to leave again.
At the doorway, as if suddenly realizing sothing, he furrowed his brow, paused for two seconds, then turned, glancing at the person on the bed.
“Grandma will co and pick you up for discharge after a while. Until then, you’d better stay here obediently. If you dare to disappear, I’ll personally catch you back.”
With those words, Qin Feimo left.
He said this before leaving because when he planned to leave early in the morning, Zhuang Yanyan called, asking him to stay in the ward till she arrived. Just in case Feng Jinglei suddenly disappeared again.
Of course, Zhuang Yanyan’s main purpose was to let her grandson and Jinglei spend a mont together to enhance their relationship.
Qin Feimo’s harsh words were due to fearing if she really ‘ran away from ho’ again, he wouldn’t be able to explain to Grandma.
A single sentence left Feng Jinglei stunned on the hospital bed, staring blankly at his silhouette disappearing behind the ward door.
Is it her illusion? She feels this man’s attitude is different from before, or is she overthinking? Or maybe it’s because of Grandma Qin, and his words are just insincere.
Dropping her lashes, Feng Jinglei dismissed the mixed thoughts from her mind.
Upon returning to the Commander Residence, she was determined to control her heart and not let it surpass her final defense line again.
