Capítulo 1321: Chapter 1322: Whose Responsibility?
“President Qin won’t listen to you on this; he only cares about results. The problem occurred under your watch, so he will hold you responsible. If you truly get fired, I won’t be able to protect you.” Chen Feng wasn’t being cold-hearted; as a departnt manager, he simply lacked any power to plead for subordinates in front of the big BOSS.
However, he was sowhat surprised; logically, he, as the finance manager, should also bear so responsibility for the docunt error. Yet, the enraged big BOSS specifically demanded the person in charge of copying the docunts to step forward.
Listening to Chen Feng’s words, Feng Jinglei also felt that she would likely be fired.
Considering Qin Feimo’s character, even though he knew her, he surely wouldn’t grant her any ‘leniency beyond the law’.
“Ding~”
The elevator reached the top floor, and under Chen Feng’s guidance, the two walked straight towards the end of the corridor, to the austere and cold conference room door.
The door was pushed open, revealing the expansive conference table with M Group’s board mbers seated around it, their eyes fixated on her and Chen Feng as they entered.
Saying she wasn’t nervous facing such an atmosphere would be a lie.
Feeling the oppressive atmosphere, Feng Jinglei glanced up, incidentally eting the gaze of the man at the head of the table, akin to a king, causing her to freeze.
That gaze seed as though it was trying to see right through her, making her uncomfortable enough to lower her eyelids again.
“Did you ss up these docunts?”
In Feng Jinglei’s mind, she certainly hadn’t ssed up the docunts, instinctively denying, “No!”
With one word, the conference room’s atmosphere seed even more tense, stifling enough to make breathing difficult.
Feng Jinglei noticed Qin Feimo’s eyes grew even darker, causing her heart to race due to anxiety.
Yet, she didn’t want to admit to sothing she hadn’t done, lowering her head, “I didn’t ss up the docunts.”
Watching her directly deny, Chen Feng felt a bead of cold sweat for her.
It’s crucial to understand that in such a large corporation, a re employee has no power to contest everyone present. Plus, the workplace has its rules; even if it wasn’t truly your mistake, in the end, it’s still your oversight that led to these consequences.
Because of the docunts, the board eting halted, causing incalculable losses for M Group.
“Sister-in-law!” Noting her overly candid nature, Chen Feng couldn’t help but whisper.
Yet, this term ‘sister-in-law’ was overheard by Qin Feimo, causing his brow to furrow slightly.
How did she beco Chen Feng’s sister-in-law?
“You didn’t ss it up?”
In the silent conference room, as everyone held their breath, worrying for Feng Jinglei, a deep, hoarse voice sounded, intensifying the keen atmosphere, further oppressing.
Feng Jinglei lifted her gaze, eting Qin Feimo’s icy cold eyes.
“No.”
Chen Feng wanted to speak but didn’t dare to casually interrupt.
“Your manager assigned you tasks, and an error ultimately occurred. Whose responsibility is it?”
This sentence left Feng Jinglei speechless.
“President Qin, she just joined the company recently, and isn’t very familiar with so work processes…”
“Are you implying that you’re responsible for this loss to the group?” Qin Feimo glanced at Chen Feng, his icy eyes devoid of warmth.
If not for his usual distinction between public and private matters, Chen Feng might have been fired right away, expelled on the spot.
The words left Chen Feng speechless; as a re departnt manager, he certainly couldn’t compensate for such losses even if he went bankrupt.
