Just as he sat down, his phone suddenly rang.
Glancing at the caller — Zhuang Yanyan — Qin Feimo pondered for a couple of seconds before answering.
“Hello, Grandma.”
“You brat! What have you done to Jinglei?! Do you have any conscience at all? Jinglei is injured, and you’re not only unconcerned about her, but you’re angry with her! Do you have an ounce of empathy or not, huh? You must know that she is living here alone and miserable now; even if you really don’t like her, you should show her so familial warmth, shouldn’t you? Is your conscience made of ice? Why don’t you have the slightest bit of tenderness every man should show to a woman!?”
As soon as the call connected, Zhuang Yanyan’s scolding voice bombarded him overwhelmingly.
Qin Feimo held the phone a bit farther away until she finally finished ranting before putting it back to his ear.
How could news travel so fast? A short while after the event, his grandmother far overseas already knew?
“Who told you?”
“Never mind who told , just tell , did Jinglei not co down for dinner?” On the phone, Zhuang Yanyan was furious, wishing she could fly back and give her grandson a piece of her mind!
