What’s up with Feimo? Since dinner, he’s co downstairs twice. First for water, then again for more water. Is he really that thirsty?
"Feimo, was the food too salty tonight?"
Turning her head, she saw Feimo descending from the second floor. Without waiting for him to fully co down, Yanyan asked directly.
Feimo paused, his steps waiting for about two seconds before resuming, "Hasn’t she returned yet?"
This ti, it was Yanyan’s turn to be stunned, narrowing her eyes slightly as she looked at her grandson.
Seems like this third trip downstairs isn’t about getting water, could it be he’s waiting to see if Jinglei has co back?
"Are you talking about Jinglei?" Yanyan asked probing.
Feimo did not respond, and at that mont, the phone started ringing.
Glancing at her grandson, Yanyan moved to answer the phone, but Feimo beat her to it.
Up till now, Jinglei was still not back, as if Feimo anticipated the call to be from Jinglei.
"Hello?"
Hearing the deep magnetic voice of the man on the other end, Jinglei was montarily startled, only realizing who it was seconds later, "Where’s Grandma?"
"Asleep." Feimo replied with two words.
Standing aside, Yanyan couldn’t hear what they were discussing over the phone.
Jinglei paused, "Oh, then never mind."
If she’s asleep, it’s not appropriate to disturb her rest. Maybe I should set off early tomorrow to the Commander Residence.
"Why haven’t you co back yet?" Seeing she seemingly had no intention of talking to him, Feimo took the initiative to speak, his tone sowhat heavy.
"I’m sleeping over at a friend’s house, won’t be back tonight."
