Feng Jinglei paused for a mont, I suppose.
"Yeah."
"Alright, go then!"
"Okay."
Hanging up the phone, just as she walked out of M Group’s revolving door, her phone rang again; it was Xiaoqi calling.
"Hello? Jinglei."
"Xiaoqi."
"What are you doing? I don’t have work today, want to go shopping together?"
While on the phone with Xiaoqi, Feng Jinglei walked toward the bus stop.
"But I have to go to work."
"Work? Where are you working?" Having known each other for five years, after graduation Xiaoqi knew that Feng Jinglei was always unemployed.
"M Group. However..." Feng Jinglei hesitated for a mont; since Xiaoqi didn’t have work today, maybe she could ask her to accompany her to the hospital.
"What?"
"I just took leave, planning to go to the hospital for a prenatal checkup, want to co?"
"Prenatal checkup? I want to!" Xiaoqi exclaid eagerly over the phone; she also wanted to know what a prenatal checkup was like and what the baby in Feng Jinglei’s belly was like.
"I’m at the number 1 bus stop on Jeiz Road."
"Okay, don’t take the bus, I’ll drive over, just wait for there."
"Alright."
After hanging up the phone, a number 1 bus pulled up at the station, but Feng Jinglei didn’t get on; she chose to sit and wait for Xiaoqi to arrive.
Early spring, the weather was still very cold, and it happened to be overcast.
Sitting inside the bus stop, Feng Jinglei pulled her coat closer around her chest, her gaze darting across the busy road.
Morning is the peak period for commuting, as a red light illuminated, the main road was blocked completely; almost half an hour later, Xiaoqi’s Audi A4 finally arrived.
"Jinglei!"
Seeing Feng Jinglei seated inside the bus stop, Xiaoqi lowered the car window and shouted to her.
And just behind her car, as if hearing a familiar na, Dongfang Li’s gaze also directed to the side, seeing Feng Jinglei walk out of the bus stop and get into a bright white Audi.
A red Maserati followed the white Audi A4, coincidentally, Dongfang Li was also headed to the hospital for a health check, specifically for gynecology.
Until the car entered the gateway of Central Hospital, Dongfang Li furrowed her brows, glancing at the characters etched beside the entrance ’Central Hospital.’
Why was she going to the hospital? And that ordinary Audi, it probably wasn’t Qin Feimo’s, so who was driving?
With a mind full of ulterior motives, Dongfang Li continued following the white Audi into the parking lot, originally expecting the driver to be a man, but a woman erged from it.
She was sowhat disappointed; she had already taken out her phone, intending to photograph and send it to Qin Feimo, but unexpectedly, it was a woman.
Watching the two of them head towards the outpatient departnt, Dongfang Li got out and followed behind them.
"Do you feel anything now? Will the baby kick you?" The two of them walked arm in arm, completely oblivious to Dongfang Li behind them.
Glancing at Feng Jinglei’s belly, which showed no obvious changes yet, Xiaoqi asked with great curiosity.
Faced with her friend’s inquiry, Feng Jinglei couldn’t help but laugh, "No, it’s only a little over three months now; he wouldn’t kick yet, they say the baby starts kicking at five or six months."
"Five or six months?" Xiaoqi’s eyes widened, filled with boundless curiosity towards the little baby.
Behind them, Dongfang Li furrowed her brows, staring at Feng Jinglei ahead.
What are they talking about? Baby? Five or six months?
Could it be that Feng Jinglei is pregnant?
It’s been over three months, and she hadn’t heard any news about Qin Feimo wanting to marry Feng Jinglei, presumably what she witnessed last year with his grandmother wasn’t true; yet they were talking about pregnancy just now.
