After hanging up the phone, Fu Ziheng pocketed his cellphone, glanced once more at Huo Yishan’s ward, and then returned to Li Yuan’s intensive care unit.

As soon as he pushed open the door, he saw a figure standing by the bedside.

“Who is it?” Because the light was dim and he could only see the back, Fu Ziheng instinctively tensed up and asked cautiously, eyeing the silhouette.

Watching his retreating figure, Fu Ziheng finally returned to the bedside to check on Li Yuan’s status.

All the readings on the electrocardiograph were normal; hopefully, he was just overthinking it.

Leaving the ward, Li Mingsen headed straight towards a black sedan waiting at the entrance of the inpatient departnt after exiting the elevator.

As soon as he entered the back seat, a low voice echoed.

“Didn’t succeed, did you?”

“Just about had him, but then that Fu Ziheng showed up suddenly.”

“I told you, don’t be too hasty. Whether he wakes up is still uncertain.”

“But father, if we don’t eradicate the problem now, there will be endless troubles later.”

“Even so, you can’t rush it. What if we slip up? Wouldn’t it be counterproductive?”
