As for why Lu Chan was chosen.
There is no other reason.
It’s simply because Lu Chan is Lu Shouren’s confidante, and she is extrely astute. Astute individuals typically have a far-sighted perspective, and wouldn’t treat anyone differently just because they aren’t inherently part of the Lu Family.
Furthermore, she is aware of East Spring Undying Bone’s capabilities, so when I present a trendous favor, how could she refuse?
Lu Chan’s residence is located at the back of the Lu Family, also within the region of the Tier Three Spiritual Vein that is quite central to the Lu Clan Territory. If you go further inside, you reach the core of the Tier Three Spiritual Vein, which only the Lu Family’s Golden Core Cultivator can access.
Of course, due to the Hundred-year Spirit Contract, even as an outsider, the area Wen Jiu resides in is not far from Lu Chan’s residence and offers excellent cultivation effects; it’s a region beyond the reach of many in the Lu Family, although for East Spring Undying Bone, it can rely be used to quickly restore corpse aura.
"Fellow Daoist Lu Chan."
As East Spring Undying Bone approached the lakeside mansion where Lu Chan resided, a ssage followed him into the mansion, causing Lu Chan, who was guiding disciples’ cultivation in the backyard, to pause with surprise before swiftly heading outside in delight.
In the backyard, several Early Stage and Middle Stage Foundation Establishnt cultivators sat cross-legged, watching their teacher’s hurried and eager manner with great curiosity. Instinctively presuming that an Elder had arrived, they quickly stood up to greet him.
Upon seeing that the visitor was East Spring Undying Bone, a Foundation Establishnt Perfection cultivator recently integrated into the Lu Family, their curiosity grew.
Foundation Establishnt Perfection cultivators do hold a respectable position within the Lu Family, but compared to these direct descendants of the Lu Family, an outsider of Foundation Establishnt Perfection still has a seemingly lower standing, ultimately still considered a level below true Lu Family mbers.
Their teacher, as a Fake Pill Cultivator and a True Disciple of the Seventh Elder, holds a position far superior to ninety-nine percent of the Lu Family mbers. Yet, Li Bai’s visit provokes such a warm welco from their teacher, leaving them inexplicably puzzled, sowhat elevating their view of him.
For their teacher wouldn’t act so warmly without reason.
"I heard that this person’s origins are unknown, neither from the West Mountain Floating Domain nor any other Floating Domain. This ti, he accompanied the teacher back from Heaven-Reaching River and directly entered the Lu Family, even granted residence near the core areas of the Tier Three Spiritual Vein, second only to Fake Pill cultivators loyal to the Lu Family. Apparently, this person is far from simple as we see." Among the disciples, a middle-aged Brocade Clothing Middle Stage Foundation Establishnt leader slowly spoke, observing the teacher eagerly greet this visitor with increasingly profound eyes.
The others expressed surprise and doubt, uncertain about Li Bai’s origins, but their eldest senior brother was the great-grandson of the Fourth Elder, though not the eldest grandson, he was still a legitimate descendant of a Golden Core Zhenren, certainly aware of so things they didn’t know.
"Throughout the years, the Lu Family has accepted countless Foundation Establishnt Perfection cultivators, not numbering one hundred but at least dozens, including well-known powerful Loose Cultivators. But a Loose Cultivator entering the Lu Family and residing so close to the Spiritual Vein’s core is a first." An Early Stage Foundation Establishnt female cultivator couldn’t help but remark with awe.
The others agreed, eyeing their teacher receiving Li Bai as he approached, they dared not discuss further, quickly raising their hands in salute. However, a simple fist salute was all they offered, after all, they were of the ruling family.
"Elder Li."
"Elder Li."
Lu Chan also introduced a few individuals, focusing on her Middle Stage Foundation Establishnt senior disciple, "Fellow Daoist Li, this is Lu Xinghe, the great-grandson of the Fourth Elder of the Lu Family and the eldest disciple under ."
Lu Xinghe was sowhat surprised, not understanding why his teacher emphasized introducing himself, seemingly intent on making Li Bai rember him. Yet he knew his teacher wouldn’t act without reason.
"Lu Xinghe greets Elder Li."
Lu Xinghe then saluted again.
Wen Jiu naturally understood Lu Chan’s intentions, so followed up with a ssage of praise, "A promising talent."
"You make laugh... Please!" After having her senior disciple make an appearance, Lu Chan refrained from further actions, after all, the future is vast.
As long as Lu Xinghe’s na is rembered today, it would be easier to interact and deepen relations in the future. When Li Bai achieves Heterodox Golden Core, and when she ultimately passes, this senior disciple will have an additional ally, since in the entirety of the Lu Family, descendants like Lu Xinghe are plentiful.
True Pill Cultivator have a long lifespan, resulting in many descendants. If a Heterodox Golden Core can lend a hand, the future will surely be promising.
"Xinghe, follow us and prepare tea for Elder Li. As you serve tea to , show Elder Li your skills." As Li Bai proceeded forward, Lu Chan called her eldest disciple to join.
Lu Xinghe paused, even more perplexed by his teacher’s intentions, exchanging bewildered looks with his fellow disciples before hurriedly keeping up.
The teacher’s actions.
Perhaps a touch exaggerated?
Having him, a mber of the Lu Family, serve tea for an outsider?
...
Once seated in the lakeside pavilion, Lu Chan, leaning against the shimring lake hues, asked with a smile, "I wonder what brings Fellow Daoist Li here unexpectedly? If there are matters where I can be of assistance, feel free to speak, I will certainly endeavor to support."
Wen Jiu didn’t dilly-dally, and spoke directly, "There’s a matter I wish for Fellow Daoist to assist with; these three million Low-grade Spirit Stones are a greeting gift. Once successful, Li Mou will owe Fellow Daoist a favor, as long as it’s within my ability, I will certainly endeavor to help. If Fellow Daoist doesn’t need it, it can be given to disciples or descendants."
Wen Jiu ntioned disciples first because judging by Lu Chan’s behavior, it seed she didn’t have descendants, thus having disciples offer hospitality to him.
Sure enough, hearing this, Lu Chan couldn’t help but be delighted, "Fellow Daoist needn’t be so courteous, Spirit Stones aren’t necessary. Fellow Daoist Li, having just arrived at East Pole Immortal City, will have many uses for Spirit Stones ahead."
