The corridor was part of the Yang Mansion construction. Though it was definitely not entirely safe, the unpredictability increased if one walked aimlessly through open spaces.

Along the corridor, they passed an office with open windows.

Looking inside, they discovered the interior was astonishingly spacious.

Naturally, it should have been a small three or four square ter office, or perhaps a reception desk, but now it appeared to be several dozen square ters in size.

Tan Wenbin rubbed his eyes in disbelief, glancing back and forth between the outside and the inside.

He had previously joked about "stealing" a space, and now it seed he had been too conservative. *How much space have they actually managed to ’steal’ here?*

However, inside, it was empty, with a flat ceiling and recessed grooves along the edges. *This scene seed familiar, as if he had seen it sowhere before.*

He rembered suddenly, *Wasn’t this layout similar to what they had encountered in the antechamber when the four of them entered the underground palace?*

So, was the corridor they were currently walking on essentially the tomb passageway?

The corridor first passed through the office area with a left turn midway, leading directly to the entrance of the main hall, where the statue of the general was located.

At this mont, the lights there were the brightest, and faint human voices could be heard.

People who had earlier entered the temple should be there.

Moreover, that was the switch point for the Yin House and Yang Mansion.

The last ti he had been there, he had only discovered the compartnt beneath the general’s statue, unaware of the concealed layout due to the lurking Corpse, so he didn’t check by entering the Underworld.

However, upon reaching the window of the second office, the scene inside was different.

Though it was still disproportionately large compared to the outside, this ti it wasn’t empty. There was a six-tiered platform inside, with a bed fra on it, and an elder lay on the fra.

The elder had red lips and a pale face, clad in burial attire, with hands folded peacefully over his abdon, looking serene.

The elder was none other than the teacher of Mao Zhushan, who was known for his cadaver recovery traits, Mao Chang’an.

*Was he dead?*

Beside him was a funeral couplet inscribed by his disciple, Mao Zhushan.

Tan Wenbin exclaid in shock, "Did the old man get killed by his disciple?"

*How could it be such a coincidence? The old man, full of vigor just a few days ago, passing away right when we intended to confront him?*

In light of Mao Zhushan leading the group into the temple earlier, it was evident that tonight’s gathering was orchestrated by him, suggesting he preemptively killed his master who might interfere.

This main office matched the master burial chamber in the water burial scene, so from the window, the dead elder appeared as if lying on the platform in the main tomb.

Li Zhiyuan reached out and grasped the door handle.

He intended to push the door open and take a look at the deceased elder. *Although he knew it held no real purpose, and tonight’s main event was at the general’s statue, he still wanted to see it.*

However, just as the door handle turned, a gust of wind arose from the surroundings, resembling the sound of a long-sealed tomb being opened, accompanied by strange, tearing sounds.

This commotion forced Li Zhiyuan to let go of the handle.

A clump of sludge accumulated from outside the corridor, slowly stacking and gradually forming a human shape. Once the sludge dispersed, it revealed a faceless body.

Yin ng and Tan Wenbin quickly grabbed the Yellow River Shovel, ready to fight, which was their intention for coming here tonight anyway.

Li Zhiyuan, however, said, "She is far from us, she can’t see us now. Unfold the net."

Yin ng and Tan Wenbin quickly drew out the return ho net, covering the three of them.

Sure enough, Qiu Minmin approached slowly but didn’t charge forward like she did in the dance studio to attack.

This was the result of not using the corridor. Even the Corpse was limited in such a Yin Yang Mansion.

Eventually, Qiu Minmin entered the corridor, then imdiately moved upward, clinging to the ceiling and started moving swiftly through the corridor.

However, because the three were covered by the return ho net, she couldn’t perceive outsiders’ presence and soon returned to the main hall, rging her form into it.

The alarm was lifted.

Li Zhiyuan hesitated for a mont, and then glanced again into the office window. The elder remained motionless, while the newly written funeral couplets beside him seed fresh with still-wet ink, filled with sincere and heartfelt words.

Li Zhiyuan didn’t attempt to open the door for another look but instead gestured to withdraw the net. The three continued walking along the corridor toward the entrance of the hall. They followed the corridor to the edge of the hall, then stealthily moved to a hidden corner before halting to observe further.

Around the entrance of the hall, there were many small black stone lions placed, with bronze swords hanging above.

These were things they hadn’t seen on their last visit, probably newly set up specifically for today’s arrangent.

They served as a barrier, and this barrier was bidirectional. Unless there was a large disturbance like before, those inside wouldn’t sense changes from outside.

Normally, there would be few people here at night, and the setup of the Yin House was sufficient to block all external interference.

However, in Li Zhiyuan’s eyes, this arrangent seed forceful and haphazard, completely disregarding the unique external environnt.

Through the cracks in the doors and windows, they could only see the greenish light inside, everything else was obscured.

To enter, they would either have to break the formation or walk the Underworld.

"What’s wrong with you?" Yin ng reached out and pushed the swaying Tan Wenbin.

Tan Wenbin suddenly inhaled sharply, like he was forcing himself to stay alert, and remarked strangely, "I clearly slept during the day, yet I suddenly feel inexplicably drowsy now."
