Shutting the door and heading downstairs, I happened to see Lin Shuyou with his left hand on a crutch and his right hand holding a thermos, probably just back from filling it at the hot water room.
Upon seeing Runsheng, Lin Shuyou’s eyes brightened imdiately.
At that mont, Tan Wenbin spoke, "Runsheng, feeling itchy to fight?"
Runsheng nodded, "The incense has burned out, I need to go fetch more from the room in the basent of the store."
"That’s not what I was asking. Do you feel like sparring with soone?" Tan Wenbin said, glancing towards Lin Shuyou.
Lin Shuyou puffed out his chest proudly.
Runsheng shook his head. During the special training, he was fed moves and sparring by Uncle Qin and had been pinned to the ground by him ti and again.
If before he only knew that Xiao Yuan hoped he could beco the next Uncle Qin, now Uncle Qin’s image had beco solid in his mind.
After gaining a much clearer and higher goal, even after the special training ended, he didn’t feel arrogantly itchy for a fight.
Tan Wenbin whispered, "Runsheng, we’re about to take action soon; actually Brother Xiao Yuan probably wants to see your progress too. That way, he can make an appropriate plan of action."
Fighting against Runsheng myself wouldn’t show any true effect, whether before or after the special training. It’s always easy for him to fight .
But Lin Shuyou, he is a great benchmark, a clear unit of asurent.
Runsheng: "Only if Brother Xiao Yuan tells to fight, will I fight."
"That’s right, we definitely can’t have private fights."
"Go find Brother Xiao Yuan."
"Okay, let’s go then."
Tan Wenbin and Runsheng left.
Lin Shuyou stood stunned in place, weren’t they supposed to fight him after coming out of seclusion? Why had they decided not to fight now?
Dropping his crutch, Lin Shuyou thought about catching up to ask why, and possibly initiate a Righteous sparring match.
He originally thought Righteous infighting would lead to Heavenly Dao suffering swiftly from the evil spirit; now he believed that healthy internal competition would better help combat the evil spirit.
But before he could take two steps, he saw a classmate coming along. Lin Shuyou quickly turned back, picking up his crutch.
Sotis, once a lie is told, you have to keep spinning it.
"Shuyou, let help you carry the thermos."
"Co, let help you upstairs."
Unable to refuse, Lin Shuyou had to go up with the helpful classmate, still pretending to limp.
...
Li Zhiyuan was originally heading to the Liu family’s place but got sidetracked by two "booths" at the sports field.
The freshn military training had ended in the morning, and simultaneously, student union and club recruitnts had begun.
Everyone was setting up tables and erecting signs on the sports field, with seniors pulling out all stops to attract those freshn whose eyes still sparkled with innocence and purity.
For most who had passed the university entrance exam, high school had often been a dull period in their lives, mostly sustained by the dream of a vibrant university life.
Generally speaking, it boiled down to two things:
One, colorful campus activities.
Two, dating.
Putting campus activities first because for most, their enthusiasm quickly wanes after the initial excitent fades.
And for the second, it often persists throughout, forming a perpetually hot topic in dorm conversations, especially among those who are single.
Of course, for freshn, quickly finding a partner at the beginning of school is a privilege for the few but joining clubs and student unions is quite straightforward.
So influential or impressively nad departnts, and a few clubs that obviously align with current trends often face an excessive influx of interested students and resort to "interview assessnts" for selection.
Most other departnts and clubs are desperate not to be picky eaters.
Without vigorous promotion and properly pulling in enough mbers, they’ll end like declining sects in Jianghu, silently awaiting extinction.
This sports field was also a Jianghu.
Walking through it, one could feel the youthful, vibrant energy and many club nas were varied and nurous.
Traditional clubs had beco extrely specialized, non-traditional ones were also quite diverse.
Attracting Li Zhiyuan from outside the sports field fence and into a corner were those clubs.
The one blocking his path was the Go Club, currently highly popular with many freshn filling out applications and making inquiries.
A few tables had already been set up with Go boards, with seniors and confident freshn challenging each other, and bystanders watching the gas.
Li Zhiyuan, despite often playing Go with Alii, was never really interested in Go.
After erging from the crowd, he finally reached the far corner where there were just four tables, not many new students, but the old mbers were patiently operating.
The president of the "Alien Club" was showing his scrapbook to a few freshn, talking about UFOs and so world’s unsolved mysteries.
The president of the "Qi Gong Club" with two old mbers sat on the ground under an aluminum pot, ditating.
Nearby, one mber explained that they were observing the orbit of artificial satellites, and when necessary, would control their own satellite to collide and combat with satellites from other countries.
Perhaps feeling the story being too far-fetched, and their president and mbers looking too foolish, the explaining mber quickly flipped the display, finding another angle.
The display read: Practicing Qi Gong helps increase romantic encounters.
Clearly, this display worked like a charm, as several freshn imdiately inquired if it was really true.
