Not only was Old Xue playful, the ancestral tombs of the Zeng family and the Zheng family also excitedly cracked open.

Although these three brothers are now unregretful in death, Li Zhiyuan couldn’t just leave them exposed in the wilderness.

Everyone spent quite a bit of ti, repairing their ancestral tombs and fastened the cracked coffin covers back with Array Formation Flag poles as nails.

Li Zhiyuan even ran around all three mountain tops, adding a handful of soil for each family.

After the work was completed, the group prepared to head down the mountain back to Min’an Town.

Tan Wenbin chuckled as he swept his gaze towards the hill slope behind, amused by the sight.

The six students, after being jolted awake by the fool’s fart, were still lingering in the sa spot. So were crying, so were dazed, and so were arguing.

If ordinary people had undergone such a nightmarish journey, it would be normal for their spirits to collapse. However, these six were an adventure team, and had voluntarily chosen to go to Zhengn Village despite warnings. Now that they had all been rescued, their continued distraught state was sowhat ludicrous.

They were already near the town, a quick look from any high point would reveal the outlines of the town. If anything unusual was to happen here, it would indeed be their own fault.

Li Zhiyuan couldn’t be bothered with them anymore and led everyone straight down the mountain.

When they returned to the town, it was the afternoon.

An old man narrating stories was walking towards the porch with his musical instrunt and stool; upon seeing the group, his eyes widened, and he quickly approached, staring at Li Zhiyuan, then at Run Sheng, followed by Yin ng, and finally Tan Wenbin.

The old man seed anxious, tightly grabbing Tan Wenbin’s hand, lips tightly sealed, as if he had sothing important to say but couldn’t quite rember it.

Finally, Tan Wenbin hooked the old man’s shoulder and chatted with him for a while, easing the old man enough to wander towards the porch confusedly.

Li Zhiyuan went to a small shop, where he saw the shop’s aunty arguing with the delivery person:

"I ordered one batch of goods and you sent three batches, how do you expect to sell all these until the end of ti!"

Li Zhiyuan motioned that he needed to make a phone call, to which the aunty nodded and continued to argue with the delivery person from the county.

He first called the paging station, who then helped him page Xue Liangliang.

After putting down the phone, Li Zhiyuan glanced at the candies on the counter, picked up the tray, and handed it over to the fool.

The fool happily ca forward, stuffing candies into his pockets, so spilling out while stuffing, quickly attracting nearby children to gather and pick them up.

The phone rang, and Li Zhiyuan answered.

"Hello, is it Xiao Yuan?"

"It’s , Brother Liangliang."

Xue Liangliang was silent on the other end, not speaking further. In these unclear circumstances, being away from ho, he knew better than to say anything unnecessary.

"Brother Liangliang, there’s no more trouble at ho."

"Phew..."

A long sigh ca through the phone, followed by heavy breathing. When he finally spoke, there was a slight choke in his voice:

"Thanks, Xiao Yuan."

"Brother Liangliang, there’s a fool in your town, did you know?"

"I know."

"Tell your parents to take him in."

"Alright."

Xue Liangliang didn’t ask why; he just agreed directly.

Li Zhiyuan hung up the phone and settled the phone bill and the paynt for the candies.

Then, turning to his companions, he said:

"We won’t be staying here tonight; we’ll head straight back to Jinling. If there’s anything else you need to take care of, do it quickly."

The group dispersed.

Yin ng and Zheng Jiayi returned to old Zheng’s ho.

The family of three in the main room of old Zheng’s ho were all devastated.

They were innocent, including Zheng Jiayi’s parents, who could have imagined that being well and alive, they would suffer from the influence of an ancestor master from three hundred years ago.

However, Yin ng’s return wasn’t to mourn for them; instead, he went upstairs into the bedroom and smashed the vat he had previously used to store vegetables.

Just as he walked down to the courtyard, he saw the neighbor who had borrowed his kitchen standing at the door looking inside.

Zheng Jiayi asked, "Auntie, what are you..."

"I ca to ask if the vat was useful?"

Yin ng responded, "I broke it, I left the money in your kitchen earlier, including for that pot."

The cooking pot, Yin ng had also intentionally poked a few holes in it before leaving.

"Got the money, got it, haha."

The woman was sowhat embarrassed, as they had been compensated multiple tis over, but being a rural household, it wasn’t really taking advantage, just thinking of saving where possible.

Yin ng, holding Zheng Jiayi’s hand, left.

Tan Wenbin returned to the old Zeng’s ho, unexpectedly, the courtyard was cleanly swept.

On the steps leading to the hall, Hu Yiwei sat disheveled, holding a photograph, with many wine bottles and pots in front of him.

Hearing the noise, Hu Yiwei looked up, his eyes bloodshot.

"Brother... you’re back."

Frankly, Tan Wenbin and Hu Yiwei were not very close; their "decades of brotherhood" seed more like a mutual need in a special circumstance.

However, seeing Hu Yiwei’s current state, Tan Wenbin felt sowhat pitiful for him.

Tan Wenbin said, "I thought you had already gone back."

Hu Yiwei waved his hand, his expression forlorn, "Can’t go back, really can’t."

"Learn to let go, pick it up again when needed, don’t always carry it around, it’s exhausting, Miao Miao probably doesn’t want to see you like this either."

After leaving these comforting words, Tan Wenbin walked to the well, leaned over, and looked down.

The well walls and the well bottom were whitened, as if covered with a layer of li, probably because its efficacy was exhausted that night.
