As the three guides escorted him across the field, they saw a neat formation of Freedom Fighters.
Back at the dorm, Fatty took a shower and turned on the TV. Gazalin’s news agencies were under Royal control. Although this country wasn’t exactly a dictatorship, it had strict power concentration. Essentially, the concept of press freedom was unworkable here. The News Managent Bureau conducted strict reviews of news, especially those involving the Royal family’s image and political direction. Sotis, one had to admit that news control had a significant stabilizing effect.
Currently, the news was broadcasting the battle status in the Galileo Star System. The news comntator, under the host’s guidance, was spitting out words: "... The Gazalin Empire Army is achieving continuous victories, the corrupt and fallen Federation is absolutely no match for the Gazalin Iron Blood Warriors. They will soon be driven out of the Galileo Star System. The great Gazalin Royal Family and the just Gazalin people will ultimately achieve brilliant victory."
Fatty watched the battle footage in the news, laughing at the comntator’s righteous indignation. As one of the people who understood this war the best, Fatty was very familiar with the situation on both sides. Currently, the ones gritting their teeth to endure should be the Gazalin Empire. Their logistics and troops were already struggling under the growing power of the Federation. Watching the lies in the news, Fatty thought that sotis news could be a wonderful form of entertainnt. If these things were recorded and compared after the war, many people might laugh their teeth out.
Fatty was drying his hair with a towel while wearing only underpants when suddenly there was a knock on the door. This scoundrel had no awareness of being a civilized person, watching TV while opening the door. He turned his head to look and foolishly asked, "What’s up?" Standing at the door was the pretty receptionist.
Christina seriously looked at the Fatty who was only wearing underpants and not embarrassed at all. Until Fatty beca a bit impatient, Christina finally confird that this guy had no sense of sha. She smiled gently, "Mr. Zhang, the technical departnt invites you over for a discussion regarding a problem."
"Oh..." Fatty nodded, "I’ll go right away." Christina smiled slightly, nodded, and turned to leave. As Fatty was about to go inside, he suddenly rembered sothing and shouted to Christina, "Hey, wait a mont, I can’t find the way to the technical departnt."
Christina looked back, sowhat exasperated, at the Fatty standing in the hallway, jumping up and down half-naked. She nodded and stood silently, her smile seemingly becoming rigid.
Watching Fatty sprint back to his room, it only took a few seconds for Christina to realize that coming to find this guy herself was a complete mistake.
Fatty bit his trousers while dressing and closing the door. His bare legs exposed, he wore dress shoes. He dressed and hopped towards Christina while putting on his trousers. When he reached her, he finally pulled up his trousers and fastened his belt. With a simple yet bright smile, he said to Christina, "Alright, let’s go. You seem a bit pale, are you sick?"
After bringing Fatty to the technical departnt, Christina turned and entered the observation room at the top of the technical research room through a small door.
Leaning against the door, massaging her stiff face, Christina was amused. This chanic nad Zhang Yuan was the first person to nearly drive her crazy. His behavior was like a typical ruffian, sex maniac, and exhibitionist, but his innocent look seed to tell her that he was a rough-hewn gem, completely unaware of conventional manners, and his actions were surely unintentional and innocent.
"A ruffian can play dumb, a beauty can be a noble steed. Giddy up... Hah!" The simple-minded scoundrel grinned as he walked into the technical departnt.
The technical departnt was a huge circular room with two workbenches and eight repair stations in total. Like a giant circular pit, the repair stations had cha hung on transport hooks, awaiting troubleshooting. These cha were sent to the technical departnt due to complex issues. When Fatty entered, the six moving workbenches on the 2A repair station at the second workbench were packed with chanics from the departnt, fervently discussing sothing.
Seeing Tian Xingjian enter, the departnt head Dell waved at him, "Zhang, co here."
Fatty walked to the workbench. Before stepping onto the stairway leading to the workbenches on the chanical arm, he took a look inside the repair station and gasped. The cha hanging on the transport hook was an advanced Military cha Vajra. Fatty nonchalantly approached the workbench, but his heart was in turmoil: "How did the Mythical Army’s special cha end up here?"
Reaching the workbench, Fatty asked Dell in confusion, "What model of cha is this? I’ve never seen it before." Dell smiled wryly, "It’s not just you; none of us have seen it. It’s a special model Military cha." Fatty was startled and quickly said, "I better not ss with such classified things. I might have to file a report before even going shopping next ti." He turned to leave.
Dell grabbed him with a smile, "Don’t worry, it’s not the first ti we’ve received Military cha here. Holy Knight Company is not an ordinary repair company." He continued proudly, "If we can identify the problem, the Military Departnt will offer substantial rewards."
Fatty instinctively looked at the work computer and noticed it was blank. Showing a puzzled look, Dell couldn’t help but laugh, "This cha can’t have any records." Seeing Fatty’s enlightened expression, Dell continued, "The Military Departnt sent this cha here for free modification. Not just us, two other civilian repair companies also received this type."
"Free modifications?" Fatty asked curiously, "Shouldn’t the Military cha have specialized developnt departnts? Why send it here? Aren’t they afraid of leaks?" Dell laughed, "You think? This cha, though special, has had its confidentiality level dropped from S to C. The developnt departnt is busy creating newer models, they don’t have ti. We have handled C-level and even A-level cha. This cha has been captured by the enemy, no longer holds confidentiality value. Sending it to us is to enhance its performance through our modification experience. It’s one of the candidate models for the Empire’s new generation of standard cha."
Fatty understood that this cha, originally tailored for the Mythical Army, was now being phased out due to performance and confidentiality reasons. Unexpectedly, the capture of two Vajra units led to a new cha generation’s developnt. However, Vajra was still an excellent cha. Its elimination ant the Mythical Army possessed even more advanced cha. Vajra was in limited use, most of their equipnt was the lower-level Demon Tiger.
Delegating performance enhancent tasks to civilian repair companies indicated two things: First, the Gazalin Empire’s technological and cha expertise were far below the Federation, now critically deficient. Second, this Holy Knight Company, as Russell’s intelligence suggested, wasn’t simple. It was one of the private cha repair enterprises closest to the Gazalin Empire’s core.
