The small potatoes exchanged silent glances, convinced that with the instructor’s character, Catherine’s speculation was indeed irrefutable.
"What happened next?" Wang Fuxing steered the conversation away.
"Then the instructor told to find a place for him to hide," Christopher said. "As soon as he left the main building, he entered the woods and used disappearing stealth, and the group of professors lost track of him. However, this is still their territory, so the instructor decided to lay low for a while."
"And then..." Without waiting for prompting, Christopher took a sip of water and continued, "I told the instructor about our situation. He hid in the Simulation Cabin where no one could see him, and our people were all here, determined to protect him at all costs."
"Haha... Clever little..." Wang Fuxing was about to praise Christopher when suddenly a burst of exclamations erupted in the gymnasium.
"Wow!"
Among the commotion, everyone fixed their eyes on the virtual screen.
The Blue cha had sohow turned into a mass of blue light flickering around its opponent. Taylor, piloting the Red cha, swayed like a candle in a storm, completely powerless amidst the barrage of smashing hits.
The stats bar at the top of the screen showed the Red cha’s attack data scrolling at an almost uncontrollable rate. A few seconds later, under everyone’s stupefied gaze, the number of hits registered against the Red cha skyrocketed, culminating in an explosive score of 999 to 0.
The gymnasium, filled with over a thousand people, fell into dead silence, with everyone dumbfounded by the turn of events.
Everyone knew that within close combat protocols, data beyond a thousand hits was never set. It was not a technical issue but simply unnecessary!
In ordinary bouts, just a few effective strikes would incapacitate the losing party. Even in cases where points were necessary to determine the winner, a hundred effective hits were unheard of.
What did a score of 999 to 0 signify? It ant that within just over a minute, a Level 3 cha Fighter was battered by a thousand strikes, all landing in scoring areas.
anwhile, Taylor hadn’t even grazed his opponent!
This insane scene unfolded before their eyes, leaving everyone speechless.
"Well done!" Wang Fuxing’s shout broke the silence in the gymnasium, prompting all of Gallipalan College’s students to leap up and cheer. Half of the stands turned into a sea of joy.
"Despicable!" Belinda’s crisp voice pierced through the celebration.
The cheering paused, voices gradually subsiding.
Belinda walked up to Wang Fuxing, grinding her teeth as she said, "I was wondering why you all seed so confident, turns out you had planned to cheat in the program from the start!"
"Cheating? What makes you say we’re cheating?" Wang Fuxing asked in surprise. "Weren’t these two Simulation Cabins installed by your side?"
Belinda’s face stiffened. "Yes..."
Wang Fuxing continued, "The Simulated War Network’s program is managed by your First Military Academy, and the main server is in your academy’s server room. We didn’t even touch it; how could we cheat?"
"If it wasn’t cheating, how could such a result occur?" Belinda scoffed. "Don’t think I don’t understand. You can still tamper through the simulation terminal data exchange. But you probably didn’t expect that a score of 999 to 0 would expose you!"
"Ignorant frog in a well!" Angel stepped forward. "Never seen a master before? Losing and then accusing others of cheating, have you no sha?"
"A master?" Belinda sneered. "Bring out your so-called master for us to see! When has Leray ever produced such a master!"
"Do you think you’re that important?" Angel mocked. "Why should we show you?"
The two sides stood in staunch opposition, quarreling relentlessly.
At this point, Taylor erged from the Simulation Cabin, his face ashen as he stood silently to the side. He could never have imagined such an outco. The Blue cha’s attack was nothing short of a nightmare for him.
If this had been a real battlefield, if this was indeed the opponent’s true level, Taylor knew he would have died many tis over. His opponent’s attacks were clearly toying with him. With thousands of hits, just one or two would have used force, and the match would have been over.
But that guy deliberately avoided knocking him out, choosing to end the battle with a data explosion. How could Taylor make sense of that!
No wonder Belinda questioned it. The opponent’s combat style indeed seed like cheating.
Taylor glanced at the senior fighter he had invited. The Level 1 Fighter was shaking his head slowly at Taylor, clearly unable to handle such an opponent either.
"Let try in the next round." A voice ended the argunt. With a solemn expression, Thomas stood up from his seat. After respectfully listening to a few words from Cosmo, he strode into the Simulation Cabin.

To be honest, I really don’t want to write about a lot of the setting-related content.
However, after much consideration, it seems that I have no choice but to write these things. Otherwise, I can’t clarify the background for the following plot developnts.
