Outside the town.

Several hunters who had just chased after the werewolf's trail out of the town suddenly raised their heads, imdiately hearing a sharp scream coming from the forest.

Flocks of crows took flight from within the woods.

Their entire bodies trembled violently.

An indescribable unease rumbled through their entire beings.

"White fog..."

A hunter looked up, his face pale as he gazed at the white mist rising from the forest. He instantly thought of sothing, his body trembling slightly.

Night Doctors!

That's right!

There's absolutely no mistake!

It must be them. They must have sensed the werewolves' presence and were drawn here!

"Hurry! Go back imdiately and inform the Mayor! Sothing terrible is happening!"

"The Night Doctors..."

"They've appeared..."

...

Ti passed slowly.

Inside the town, as one anesthetized girl after another was carried out of Lynn's consultation room, his surgery was quickly approaching its conclusion.

Just at that mont, the hunters who had chased after the werewolf earlier rushed back in a panic.

They quickly whispered a few words in the Mayor's ear.

The Mayor's expression instantly changed dramatically.

"What did you say?!"

The hunter's face was deathly pale as he trembled, "Mayor, it's confird beyond doubt. What should we do?"

The Mayor frowned deeply. "I overlooked this. Those maniacs are extrely interested in the curses within these werewolves. If large numbers of werewolves gather, it would definitely attract their attention, but I never expected them to co this quickly!"

He didn't dare delay, imdiately turning around and saying gravely:

"Notify everyone imdiately! Have all townspeople move to the church basent! No one cos out without my orders!"

"Yes!"

After speaking, the Mayor's expression turned extrely serious as he imdiately turned and knocked on the door of Lynn's small cabin.

"Doctor Lynn, have you finished your surgery?"

Creak.

Lynn opened the door, tossing his blood-stained gloves aside, smiling slightly:

"Just about done. Has sothing happened?"

The Mayor imdiately stepped inside, quickly closing the door behind him, his expression grave:

"Our scouts just received news. They discovered... discovered signs of Night Doctors outside the town."

Upon hearing this, Lynn's eyes imdiately lit up.

"They've finally appeared?"

The Mayor frowned deeply. "Doctor, I must advise you again. Those Night Doctors are complete madn. I strongly urge you not to interact with them!"

"Because you might not even have ti to say a single word before they forcibly dissect you. While they probably won't kill you, they'll make you wish you were dead!" ŘἁŊȫ𐌱Ěꞩ

Lynn smiled and adjusted his monocle, saying:

"Thank you for your concern, but this ti..."

"I ca specifically for them."

Dong—

Suddenly, the sound of bells ringing ca from outside.

The Mayor's expression instantly changed dramatically.

"Not good!"

Outside, in the open square, people looked pale as they gazed northward. Thick white mist was slowly and eerily subrging the town's edges, continuously spreading toward their location.

And it wasn't just the townspeople.

Even the weakened werewolves in the square all showed expressions of terror.

"That's..."

The Wolf King finally snapped out of his daze, his gaze trembling as he looked at the rumbling white fog.

"Night Doctors..."

A hunter's lips trembled, all the hairs on his body standing on end.

And in the next mont.

"Run!"

A loud shout.

The surrounding guards and townspeople imdiately panicked and rushed toward the town's church. Even the werewolves in the square, terrified beyond asure, dragged their weakened bodies and fled in all directions.

Their fear of the Night Doctors far exceeded that of others.

Because whenever Night Doctors encountered them, they would inevitably dissect them and then reassemble them.

If successful, that was one thing.

But if they failed, the werewolves would beco monsters that were neither human nor ghost!

This was even more terrifying than death.

At this mont.

The entire square descended into chaos.

Inside the house, the Mayor looked urgently at Lynn, grabbing his wrist:

"Hurry! Doctor! Co with to the church to hide first! Whatever considerations you have, let's get through this crisis first!"

But just as he pushed the door open.

Billowing white fog instantly spread inside.

Several werewolves panicked and crowded in, completely disregarding that they were mortal enemies.

And as soon as they rushed in.

They painfully clutched their throats, collapsing to the ground and struggling continuously.

"Close the door! Close it!"

It was already too late.

He never expected the Night Doctors to arrive so quickly!

Clearly.

The concentrated aura of the diseased werewolves had greatly alard those mysterious doctors, like the scent of blood spreading through the forest, attracting them here.

The Mayor gritted his teeth, knowing it was too late, and quickly shut the door tightly.

His staff imdiately pointed at a werewolf as he said through clenched teeth:

"If you want to live, then cooperate obediently! Otherwise, I'll kill you before those Night Doctors even appear!"

The werewolves covered their throats, coughing dryly, fearfully glancing at Lynn beside them, not daring to say a word.

Thump—

Faintly, they could hear the sounds of people collapsing one after another outside.

Clearly, many werewolves hadn't found shelter in ti and were being knocked down one by one by the thick white fog.

Lynn looked out the window, and his eyes imdiately displayed the System's introduction.

[Paralysis Mist]: A special dicinal gas containing strange forces. High-dose inhalation or contact will cause targets to lose mobility within a short ti. Due to certain bizarre components, even puppets, machinery, and evil spirits will be affected indiscriminately.

The Mayor and several guards inside imdiately crouched down, pressing against the wall beneath the window, holding their breath and waiting intently.

The entire room instantly fell into complete silence.

The werewolves all huddled fearfully against the other side, their bodies stiffening, gradually losing mobility while remaining fully conscious.

Clearly.

Their fear of Night Doctors far exceeded that of any other creature.

Lynn cald his emotions, not overestimating his abilities, and leaned against the wall like the others, saying:

"Is this how Night Doctors make their entrance?"

The Mayor said gravely, "Just one of their thods. They only use this approach when they believe there are nurous creatures at the target location that need their 'treatnt' and aren't cooperating."

"Doctor! I must warn you!"

"They're really not as wonderful as you imagine. In their eyes, all living beings need treatnt. Even creatures they've labeled as 'cured' - if you encounter another Night Doctor, there's a high probability they'll rediagnose and treat you again."

The Mayor slowly clenched his teeth, saying:

"They're a group of... a group of evil maniacs... who think they're benevolent!"

Lynn pondered this, pressed against the wall, looking up:

"Let's observe the situation first."

The Mayor frowned deeply, then pulled out several small vials of dicine from his pocket, handing them to Lynn:

"Doctor, take these. If the Night Doctors discover us, you must drink them imdiately."

As soon as he touched them, Lynn's eyes displayed information about the vials.

[Deadly Poison Sli Mucus]: Liquid extracted from highly toxic Sli bodies.

Lynn said in surprise, "Uh..."

The Mayor said gravely, "Poison. It's also the dicine our people use against Night Doctors. If you encounter them, you must imdiately put yourself in a poisoned, near-death state."

"That way, those Night Doctors will focus all their efforts on treating you. After they cure you, they'll most likely no longer suspect you have other illnesses!"

"If you're actually healthy and they target you, you'd better pray you actually have so disease!"

He gritted his teeth.

Because when facing them, being healthy is infinitely more terrifying than being sick!

Because if you're sick, they'll treat you, but if you're healthy, they'll find diseases for you!

And the process of finding diseases...

That's what truly makes you wish you were dead.
