"It's him."

The Night Doctor positioned at the back spoke through gritted teeth, his voice emanating from within his mask.

He extended a hand clad in black leather gloves, pointing directly at Lynn before him as he addressed the three tall beaked figures in front, his tone heavy:

"This guy is extrely bizarre. I originally had no illnesses, but after he diagnosed , over a dozen symptoms suddenly appeared in my body!"

"My body was perfectly fine before. If I really had so hidden condition, wouldn't I have noticed it?! He must have done sothing to when he touched my body!"

He ground his teeth audibly, eyes filled with anger and resentnt as he pointed accusingly at Lynn across from him.

"My xx still isn't behaving properly even now!"

Thud—

A dull impact sound seed to echo his words, making his body jump.

"......"

This had been happening the entire way here.

And it was getting worse. His colleagues suggested he just cut it off to be done with it, but he simply couldn't swallow this injustice!

"......"

A brief silence fell.

The lead beaked Night Doctor remained silent, the lenses of his mask reflecting Lynn's face. Lynn could clearly feel the man's gaze sweeping over him from head to toe.

Instantly, the Night Doctor's status panel appeared before Lynn's eyes.

[Night Doctor · Raven]

[Race]: Crow Person

[Attribute]: Lawful Good (?)

[Level]: ???

The introduction was similar in structure, but clearly, this Night Doctor's rank was noticeably higher than the previous one.

There were subtle differences in both his title and attire.

"I heard you cast curses and plagues on our mber?"

Raven slowly sat down in the chair opposite Lynn, his voice erging from the mask—slightly sharp yet steady.

His gaze was extrely dangerous.

Maintaining his smile, Lynn adjusted his monocle and calmly replied:

"You can't just make accusations like that. I'm a doctor with principles—how could I possibly do sothing so malicious?"

"You can't just slander your doctor because they diagnosed you with conditions you're unwilling to accept, can you?"

Lynn's words were...

reasonable and well-supported.

Anyone hearing them would find them convincing.

"Bullshit!"

The Executor Night Doctor flew into a sha-fueled rage, slamming a fist on the table as he growled:

"Stop pretending! I could tell at a glance you're not human. I know you're a Plague Doctor. You ca here to intimidate us, didn't you?"

Lynn looked startled. "Plague Doctor? What's that?"

Observing Lynn's bewildered expression, Raven slowly raised a hand, signaling the Night Doctor beside him to step back, his gaze fixed calmly on Lynn's face. ŔâɴOBĚş

His tone remained composed, not irritable like his colleague's, as he patiently explained to Lynn:

"A group of traitors who were once part of our Night Doctors. They betrayed their ideals, split from our organization, and no longer pursue healing and saving lives. Instead, they spread terrible plagues and curses across the lands."

The lenses of his mask reflected dark, mysterious light.

"They constantly attempt to divide and destroy us, so please don't take my colleague's suspicions personally. He's rely fulfilling his duties."

Lynn slightly furrowed his brow.

"I see."

"I had no idea such evil beings existed in this world. Instead of properly treating patients, they go around poisoning and harming people? They truly deserve death!"

So werewolves in the distance trembled, looking like they were about to cry.

Raven narrowed his eyes, watching Lynn's face.

"So it seems you weren't aware of this?"

Lynn adjusted his monocle, smiling.

"To be honest, I rarely travel far from ho, so my information is sowhat limited. I ca here because I heard the Night Doctors were a profession dedicated to bringing happiness and health to everyone."

"So, could you offer an opportunity to beco a Night Doctor?"

Lynn was extrely polite.

The Night Doctors glanced at each other, exchanging looks.

The Executor, face full of anger, whispered: "Mr. Raven, don't agree. This kid is very strange. I think we should apprehend him first, investigate his identity thoroughly, and then—"

But before he could finish, Raven interrupted him calmly.

"Enough."

"Executor, have you forgotten our principles?"

The Executor jolted, then lowered his head, pounding his chest with one fist, his gaze flickering. "No, Mr. Raven, I rember them well."

The earth needs healing.

The eternal night needs to end.

We heal, we protect, we redeem.

We follow the justice in our hearts to provide treatnt to every living being. Under our scalpels, prejudice and arrogance are never permitted.

Raven looked deeply at Lynn across from him.

"Wanting to join us is not a simple matter. We must determine whether you possess sufficient character and ability to withstand the encroaching darkness of this night."

"I heard from him that you possess extrely strong diagnostic abilities—that you can detect all illnesses within soone's body just by touching them?"

Lynn beca serious, sitting up straight as he smiled. "Not necessarily all of them, but I should be able to identify most without issue."

The Executor closed his eyes, audibly grinding his teeth, utterly frustrated.

Profound light flickered in Raven's lenses.

His fingers lightly tapped the table surface.

"Good. I'm willing to give you a chance."

The Executor jolted in shock, exclaiming: "Mr. Raven—"

Raven raised a hand to cut him off, lifting his beaked mask slightly as he flicked a finger, a dim glow flashing briefly from his fingertip.

He said calmly, "I just released a virus within my body. This virus is extrely stealthy. If it remains hidden within a human body for extended periods, it can cause severe damage."

He placed his hand on the table.

"Since you claim to possess special diagnostic abilities, I'm willing to give you this opportunity. Within ten minutes, if you can accurately identify the injection site of the virus I introduced, the distribution of the virus within my body, and the adverse reactions it's causing , I will acknowledge that you have the qualifications."

He removed his glove.

Revealing a claw that resembled a fusion of a crow's and a human's hand—with only four fingers, the sharp nails gleaming with mysterious light.

Upon hearing his words, the two beaked Night Doctors behind him both jolted, exchanging glances.

Clearly, they understood perfectly.

This wasn't just a test—it was also a deliberate challenge.

Because for normal doctors, diagnosing sothing based solely on touch and pulse without blood tests or other verification thods would be practically impossible.

Not every doctor possesses the Night Doctors' exceptional rapid diagnostic abilities.

Moreover...

The virus had just been injected into his body, and its effects hadn't fully manifested yet. This only increased the difficulty of diagnosis exponentially.

"Mr. Raven, I must warn you."

The Executor stepped forward urgently, breathing rapidly;

"This guy really is extrely strange! If you casually make contact with him without any anti-curse or anti-plague equipnt, he might very well take the opportunity to infect you!"

Raven looked up, his tone calm. "It's fine."

He was extrely confident.

Because he had beco a Night Doctor long before anyone else present.

He had dealt with all kinds of curses and plagues in this world for centuries.

Even Plague Doctors of equivalent rank would find it impossible to infect him under his watch—that would be pure fantasy.

Hearing this, Lynn adjusted his monocle, speaking seriously:

"So, if I can diagnose that virus, I can beco a mber of the Night Doctors?"

Raven said calmly, "Young man, don't aim too high too soon. But if you truly can do it, I will recomnd you under my authority."

As soon as these words were spoken.

Lynn said seriously, "Good."
