Aidalin instantly coiled her tentacles around Lynn again, lifted her head in delight, and blinked as she said,

At that mont, Lynn barely hesitated. He grabbed his top hat, spun around, and activated Ghost Mode, pushing his speed to the limit. He dashed through the wall and ran away like he was escaping for his life.
Aidalin was shocked, hurriedly pushed the door open and chased after him, shouting,
"Doctor! Doctor, where are you going! I haven't transford yet!"

Lynn clutched his suitcase, held his top hat down, and sprinted down the corridor.
In that instant, Lynn finally understood.
He had been far too naive.
He had thought he was a little perverted, but compared to those true veterans, he was as innocent as a clueless little boy.
Zuo Zuo exclaid in surprise, "Stupid Brain! Do you actually like boys?!"
Lynn had a vein-popping expression, (〃´皿`)q and said, "Like what? Didn't you hear say it was just a flippant remark! Tentacle Monster is already my XP limit I can accept!"
He absolutely could not stay in this place any longer.
He decided to find sowhere to while away the next hour as casually as possible.
Lynn quickly shook off the Desire-Tentacle Matriarch that shouted and chased him, turned a sharp corner, and shoved open a door to hide inside a room.
He pressed himself against the flesh wall and listened warily to the squirming sounds outside.
Only after the squirming sounds faded away did Lynn finally breathe a sigh of relief and wipe the cold sweat from his brow.
To think the great Lynn, known for his renown, was now running around panicked just to avoid a tentacle monster's lewd advances—what a ruinous fate!
Even if she were just a bit prettier...
After waiting a mont.
Once he confird the tentacle monster had retreated, Lynn decided to go to the Aberration Fortress's control chamber. There would be more "people" there; even if he encountered that Desire-Tentacle, it probably wouldn't cause a scene.
With that in mind,
Lynn pushed the door open to leave.
But at that mont, a massive rumble suddenly shook the floor beneath his feet, as if the Aberration Fortress had slamd into sothing, sending a violent jolt through the structure.
Lynn steadied himself at once, and saw the glowing flesh tumors along the corridor dim one after another.
In an instant,
the entire corridor plunged into pitch darkness.
"What's going on?" Lynn imdiately beca alert.
Slowly, the jolting subsided, then, accompanied by an inertial shudder, it seed the Aberration Fortress had stopped moving forward in the Root Network.
Have we arrived?
No.
The Commander had said that reaching the main base would take at least an hour; they probably hadn't even covered half the distance yet.
If they hadn't arrived, then what was happening?
Lynn turned his head sharply, squinted, and looked at the veined traces on the wall and the little lights marking the Root Network.
At this mont,
the light representing their Aberration Fortress was flickering continuously, emitting a faint red glow.

anwhile, inside the Aberration Fortress's chambers,
to the sound of flesh squirming, the Commander, his body covered with exoskeleton and tentacles, slowly separated himself from the flesh wall.
He frowned.
After setting the fortress to automatic patrol, he had put himself into a hibernation state to recover from burns sustained in the earlier battle.
But just now,
the fortress's ergency brake had awakened him from hibernation.
He hurried to the fortress's main control room, where several of his deputies stood before the translucent mbranous window, faces grim as they stared outside.
"What's going on?! Who interrupted the fortress's patrol? Don't you know you can't brake casually in the Root Network?" he thundered as he entered.
Seeing his arrival, the deputies all turned, solemnly reporting,
"Commander, sothing happened outside, we had to perform an ergency stop."
The Commander raised an eyebrow, "What happened?"
"Commander, you should see it for yourself."
He frowned, pushed through the crowd, and peered through the mbranous tissue to the outside of the Aberration Fortress.
When he saw the scene beyond, his expression imdiately grew grave.
"This is…"
Outside the fortress, the Root Network tunnel was pitch black. Only the faint glow of the embedded flesh tumors on either side allowed them to barely make out the outside.
Right in front of their fortress, he saw a gigantic flesh construct, dozens of tis the size of their fortress.
It looked like the bloated carcass of a rotting whale, obstructing the entire passage.
He recognized it at a glance.
It was the Aberrant Whale.
It was a higher-tier flesh construct of the Desire Sect, an advanced version of their Aberration Fortress and their most cutting-edge war machine.
But why was it here?
The Commander frowned and said, "Send them a signal."
One deputy replied gravely, "We sent it two minutes ago, but there's been no response so far. We suspect sothing serious may have occurred on their side."
The Commander considered this, then looked up and said heavily, "Open the beam."
