A massive amount of parts, and blueprints and docunts that occupied nearly one third of the container.
The chanical Cult had not used chips or storage drives. Obviously they understood that if they had used chips, Lynn would definitely raise questions and demand replacents.
So this ti all the blueprints and docunts were carried on physical dia.
Lynn smiled and extended a tentacle again, storing all the components and docunts into System Space, saying,
“Looks like our cooperation is going very smoothly.”
That cold voice said, “There is a third fold-jump. This is the final transmission. After it ends, our deal is complete. You must fulfill our agreent and imdiately release and lift the curse and restraints on Silver Fantasy.”
Lynn smiled, “You don’t need to trouble yourselves with that.”
Slowly.
The third fold-jump beam arrived.
Zuo Zuo warned in a low voice, “Brain, could the chanical Cult really be conceding to us? This feels way too smooth.”
Lynn narrowed his eyes, “Caution is good, let’s see how this unfolds.”
Then.
Under Lynn’s gaze, the outline of the container slowly materialized.
As with the previous two tis, the massive chanical container slowly opened up, revealing a large quantity of parts and materials. It was clear this shipnt carried so of the core materials necessary to build the Stellar Core Furnace.
Lynn smiled, staying alert, and once more followed the sa routine. He extended his tentacle and probed the mass of materials.
Swish, swish, swish—
All those materials were sucked into his inventory.
Everything was progressing very smoothly.
So smooth it felt unreal.
That cold voice sounded again, “The deal is done. Release Silver Fantasy imdiately.”
Lynn narrowed his eyes, his gaze flickering.
Was he just being paranoid?
Had the chanical Cult really conceded, rely seeking to complete an exchange through trade?
Yet for so reason, he still felt he had overlooked sothing.
Lynn slowly backed away, expression unchanged, maintaining a faint smile, creating distance between himself and the bound Silver Fantasy, saying,
“Pleasure doing business. I keep my word, but to avoid accidents it’s best we keep a safe distance. I really don’t want this dear miss to—”
Lynn’s foot took a slow step backward.
But at that instant, the System alard violently in his ear.
[Warning! Warning! The Desire Mother Tree’s threat to you has reached 100%! Evade imdiately!]
Clatter—
Almost at the sa mont the System alert sounded.
Anomalies erupted.
One by one, as if prepared in advance, blood-and-flesh vines suddenly burst up from under his feet, rushing up to coil around his waist with a cacophony.
At nearly the sa ti, giant vines large enough for several people to embrace erupted from the surrounding soil, wildly lashing toward the bound Silver Fantasy.
Lynn barely had ti to react before a fierce surge of desire thundered into his consciousness.
A sultry, viscous voice sounded in his ear, like soone breathing gently beside you, sweet and poisonous.
“Little fellow, the chanical Cult is not big on keeping its promises. Would you really throw away such an interesting bargaining chip so casually?”
Warning prompts blared frenetically.
Root-level fluctuations rolled like thunder.
Imdiately Lynn’s vision filled with the info panel for those blood-and-flesh vines.
[Desire Mother Tree (Avatar)]
[Level]: ???
[Alignnt]: Chaotic Evil
[Race]: ???
[Combat Ability]: One-fifth of the original’s power, but still capable of suppressing a Monarch.
[Description]: A tree seed that fell from the higher world three thousand years ago. Violent curses and hatred allowed it to be reborn and achieve nirvana in hell, but its regrown branches turned into blood-and-flesh vines. Natural greatness warped into twisted madness, limitless desire swelling within its ever-growing trunk. A crown that once upheld the stars has beco grotesque, laughing, malford limbs. This made it one of the darkest Root terrors in the Dark World.
The Desire Mother Tree!
It was the Desire Mother Tree!
Hahaha!
So that was it!
The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind!
At that mont Lynn finally understood the source of his unease and the huge oversight he had made.
The Desire Mother Tree belonged to the Chaotic Evil alignnt, just like the Flesh and Blood Dominator!
The greed and fickleness of this alignnt ant they could do anything based on personal whim. Even if they were nominally in the sa camp, they could strike at you at a critical mont!
So long as there was sufficient benefit!
So long as they deed it necessary!
They would act!
And the Desire Mother Tree, seeing such a useful pawn to blackmail the chanical Cult, how could it not be tempted?!
Because the chanical Cult had conceded!
Lynn imdiately realized this must also be a risky play by the chanical Cult, a counter-calculation against him! They had keenly perceived the infighting within the Chaotic Alignnt and exploited their selfishness and greed!
In short, once the deal was done!
Once they showed even the slightest sign of submission!
The Desire Mother Tree would instantly be pried loose and turned against them, converting the situation from chanical Cult versus Lynn and Desire Mother Tree into a three-way standoff: chanical Cult versus Desire Mother Tree versus Lynn!
From a duet into a threeso!
“You must not attack ! You’ve fallen for their trap!!” Lynn snarled, trying to warn the Desire Mother Tree that bound him.
But it was too late.
Everything changed too fast, almost at the exact mont the Desire Mother Tree struck.
On the patch of ground where the chanical Cult’s folded materials had landed, the surfaces of the three scattered chanical containers suddenly lit with countless fine streams of light.
Those seemingly useless, discarded container walls glowed with dense light flows, beams connecting on the ground to form an extrely complex optical image.
If Sir Aiwen were here, he would instantly recognize it as a summoning magic circle used for precise targeting in the darkness!
Seeing this, Lynn’s understanding ripped through him.
The real key was not the materials inside the containers, but the three containers used to hold those resources!
The three fold-jump landing points had clearly been calculated with extre precision so that when the three chanical boxes opened, they could perfectly piece together that optical summoning pattern!
Like three puzzle pieces!
One by itself ant nothing.
But once combined, their true intent imdiately revealed itself!
Seeing that scene, the Desire Mother Tree’s avatar was shaken violently as well, because everything had happened so quickly. Almost the mont the summoning circle ford, an unimaginably terrifying aura surged out from it.
It tried to strike, but it was too late!
At that mont.
The light flared brilliantly, illuminating the entire subterranean cavity.
Hum—
And within that boundless cascade of light, it seed as if innurable gears humd and machines whirred in an instant.
A humanoid outline ford entirely from nurical constructs slowly floated at the center of the massive magic circle.
A terrifying aura spread.
No facial features, no physical body, only a silhouette built from torrents of data.
“I originally did not wish to descend so early,” a detached chanical voice echoed from the apparition.
Cold.
Bitterly cold!
An information panel imdiately appeared in front of Lynn’s eyes for that virtual projection.
[God of All Machines (Projection)]
[Level]: ???
[Alignnt]: Absolute Order
[Race]: ???
[Combat Ability]: One-tenth of the original’s power, but still not sothing you can contend with.
[Description]: Above the stars, forgotten knowledge and ancient technology. The first great being to achieve chanical Ascension, it birthed its initial self amid gears and cannon fire, founding the Intelligence Machine Civilization among the vast stars and carving out an entirely different path. Yet all things decay and machines rot. For unknown reasons, it once waged a great war with the Colossus Civilization and the Cyber Civilization, and was cast down into the Dark World after the conflict. It founded the chanical Cult and took root in the night.
The instant he saw that panel, Lynn understood everything.
God of All Machines! The arrival was a projection of the Cult’s Sovereign!
Of course!
The chanical Cult had never intended to resolve this peacefully. From the mont the countdown ended, they had been running a precise calculation!
They used the completion of the trade to stir the Desire Mother Tree’s greed, diverting its attention toward Lynn, while in secret they had folded those three puzzle pieces into this very spot!
They knew that if they had folded in reinforcents directly, the Desire Mother Tree would have imdiately intercepted them and Silver Fantasy’s safety could not be guaranteed!
So they hid their killing move in the most easily overlooked containers.
Three boxes!
Three puzzle pieces!
Ingeniously assembled into a summoning array for a projection of their Sovereign!
They concealed their ultimate trump card to arrive at this final mont!
“Run!” Lynn roared and, with almost no hesitation, forced his teleport ability to activate.
