The nightclub was extrely lively, with young n and won releasing their passion to their hearts' content.

The deafening noise made people's blood boil. Many n and won twisted their bodies on the dance floor, venting the surging desires in their hearts along with the DJ.

Toru sat next to Jodie. He ordered a drink and said with a smile, "Beautiful lady, do you need so company?"

"Get lost!"

Jodie did not even look at him. She held a cigarette between her fingers and took a big gulp of her drink.

The bartender, who was pouring Toru's drink, looked at him with pity.

How many had it been these past few days? This man would probably be cursed away by this beautiful and fierce foreign woman soon.

Jodie had been coming to this nightclub for several days, getting drunk every night.

Such a beautiful blonde woman with a dignified presence naturally attracted the covetous eyes of many n.

In the past few days, countless n had co up to chat with Jodie, and in the end, they were all driven away by her fierceness.

Every day, she would drink herself drunk, yet no one had ever succeeded in taking advantage of her. So bold n were even taken to the police station that sa day, and the nightclub owner had received a warning.

This made the owner realize that this woman had a powerful background, so he ordered his employees that if any man harassed this beautiful woman, they should step in and never provoke soone they could not afford to offend.

"Sir, your Brewster's Effect."

The bartender placed a cocktail in front of Toru and suddenly felt that the man in front of him looked familiar.

However, the lighting in the nightclub was too dim, and he could not recognize him right away.

At this ti, other custors ca to order drinks. While serving them, the bartender also kept an eye on Toru.

If the man showed any improper intent, he would imdiately call security to throw him out. He did not know what this beautiful blonde woman did, but their small nightclub could not afford to offend her.

"Beautiful lady, your tone is too harsh. Do you really not need to buy you a drink?"

"I told you to get lost!"

Jodie turned her head fiercely, her eyes sharp.

However, after seeing the person beside her, her fierce gaze imdiately cleared, and she even sobered up a little.

She whispered, "Adam Spencer?"

"In Japan, I prefer that you call Toru."

"What are you doing here?"

Jodie stared at him vigilantly.

She was not very familiar with this forr CIA agent, but she knew of his existence.

Especially after eting him in New York last ti, she had also learned about his past.

Just like Shuichi's position in the FBI, Toru was a powerful expert in the CIA.

"I heard about Shuichi's death, and I heard that you've been drinking here these past few days, so I ca to take a look."

Toru's words made Jodie's expression change drastically. "...Are you here to laugh at Shuichi?"

"Don't say that. Shuichi and I didn't know each other, and there's no grudge between us. Why would I laugh at him?"

His words made Jodie's expression ease slightly. She snorted coldly. "Your CIA never shows up without a reason. Since you're here to find , you definitely have sothing to say. Tell , what do you want to do?"

"I saw that you were sad, so I wanted to co comfort you."

"And then?"

"And then see if I can trick you into bed. Jodie, you're the star of the FBI after all. Even though I was once in the CIA, I know your na."

"Ha, you're quite direct. Is that how your CIA works? Like in those 007 movies, getting information through won?"

"That's just one of our abilities. When necessary, we don't mind using our male charm."

Toru picked up the cigarette pack in front of Jodie, took one out, lit it, and took a puff.

"Wait, 'once'?"

Jodie finally caught the key point in his words. She asked tentatively, "...You left the CIA?"

"That's right, but I didn't leave voluntarily. I was forced out."

Toru said with a smile, "...Your FBI has its own intelligence system. You should know that what happened at Shuchi'in Academy last ti was related to the CIA."

"And the reason those terrorists entered Shuchi'in Academy was actually to kill . Since the CIA wants to kill , of course I had to leave them."

Jodie chuckled. "You're being hunted by the CIA, yet you still have the mood to flirt with here."

"Haha, the CIA knows my capabilities and doesn't dare send people to kill recklessly. Besides, Arica is about to hold a major election, so their attention is focused on that. They don't have ti to deal with for now."

Toru paused, then said, "...Do you know who killed Shuichi?"

Jodie picked up her glass and took a big gulp. She gripped the glass tightly, almost crushing it in her hand.

She remained silent and did not answer. Toru answered for her, "The Black Organization!"

Jodie suddenly turned to look at him, her eyes wide. "You know about that Organization?"

"Ha, I was in the CIA after all. My job was intelligence. How could I not know about them? I suppose you also suspect them, right?"

Jodie took a puff of her cigarette and gritted her teeth. "Shuichi and I have been investigating that Organization and ruined many of their plans. They have always wanted to kill us."

"Only that Organization could have killed Shuichi."

Toru leaned close to Jodie's ear and whispered, "Do you know why I'm being hunted? It's because the CIA Director is cooperating with that organization, and I found out."

His sudden closeness made Jodie's ear itch.

But compared to her reaction to him getting close, she was even more shocked by the information he revealed.

"Are you sure?"

"One hundred percent sure."

Jodie suddenly felt a sense of distress.

Even the CIA Director is cooperating with that Organization. The Black Organization is far more terrifying than she imagined.

Can she really deal with such a massive force?

No. Even if she cannot, she will risk her life to eliminate them.

Her father, her mother, and the man she secretly loved all died at the hands of that Organization.

Toru then said, "I suspect there are also people in your FBI high command cooperating with that Organization. Otherwise, with Shuichi's strength, he wouldn't have been taken down so easily."

Jodie clenched her fists.

She did not doubt his words at all.

She had absolute confidence in Shuichi's strength. The only explanation was that soone in the FBI's upper ranks had cooperated with the Black Organization and leaked his information, allowing the assassination to succeed.

At the sa ti, Jodie beca even more confused.

If even the FBI's upper ranks had been infiltrated, how could she fight against that Organization?

Who among her superiors could she still trust?

Jodie suddenly thought of sothing. She looked at the man beside her. From what she knew, this man nad Toru was a master comparable to Shuichi.

Shuichi had even said privately that this man was so powerful that even he would not dare to claim victory easily.

"Are you... also fighting against that Organization?"

"That's why I ca to see you," Toru said with a smile.

Jodie pondered for a mont, then seed to make up her mind. She stood up and said to the bartender, "Check, I'll pay for his drink!"

The bartender walked over, looking at Toru in disbelief.

What is going on?

This blonde beauty, whom no man could approach, was taken down with just a few words?

For a mont, the bartender felt both envy and admiration. This was a role model for n, even getting won to pay for him!

Jodie grabbed Toru's arm and pulled him out of the nightclub.

Half dragging and half pulling him, she took him to a nearby hotel.

Toru said nothing and followed her as she checked in and entered the room.

"What are you planning to do, Ms. Jodie?"

Toru asked, pretending to be innocent.

Jodie took a deep breath. "Stop pretending. Don't you want to sleep with ? Co on. I just happen to need a man to vent the bitterness in my heart."

Jodie had already made up her mind. Since this man was also fighting against the Black Organization, then he was the best partner.

And the simplest way to build trust between both sides was undoubtedly through intimate contact between a man and a woman.

Toru said, "You sll too much of alcohol and smoke. Go take a shower first."

Jodie glared at him fiercely, then took off her clothes in front of him and walked into the bathroom naked.

Toru sat down by the bed.

Anyway, Shuichi was not interested in Jodie, so it was better for him to take the opportunity. Jodie was a mature beauty after all.
