224TO LEAD THE ALLIANCE OF EVOLUTION

Core of the Mind – Level 6: Activated.

The world suddenly slowed in Dan's mind. The monstrous scythes moved as if through heavy liquid.

Every ripple of shadow energy, every fracture of divine tal, every current of power of the Scythes of Anubis were laid bare before his enhanced perception.

It was due to his improved Core of the Mind.

At level 6, his autonomous combat mind moved at a different speed entirely… and more than that, it was also analyzing, calculating, and deciding what was the best course of action.

"There," Dan whispered. His eyes locked on the weak point pulsing in the structure of the falling scythes.

He rose into the air, light gathering at his chest.

"Halo's Judgnt!"

A concentrated plasma beam tore through the air, striking the precise weakness.

The result was instant—both scythes cracked, then shattered into bursts of dark fragnts that dissolved into the void.

The Shadows staggered back, their forms rippling in disbelief.

"How… how did he destroy our scythes? Its power is a full rank higher than him," they murmured, their voices trembling with both awe and anger.

But Dan was already moving.

In a blink, he appeared above them, his sensors and instincts aligning into perfect precision. He unleashed consecutive plasma bursts from his chest—searing, blinding beams that split the battlefield open.

"Argghhh!" The Shadows of Anubis howled as the blasts tore into their divine bodies.

The ground quaked beneath the shockwave.

The alien horde froze, staring in horror.

Their gods were invincible beings of the abyss…. But they were being pushed back by this unknown hero.

"How… can a Rank A mortal force us—Rank S—into this situation?" one of the Shadows hissed.

Dan's voice cut through the smoke, calm and cold.

"Because unlike you… I have an invincible bug."

The twin Shadows of Anubis faltered, their black forms rippling under the strain of battle. For the first ti, they realized the truth…. killing Black Halo in their current state was impossible.

Then, as if obeying a silent command, the two divine figures turned toward each other. Their shapes distorted, their scythes lting into shadow.

A deep, resonant hum filled the air as their bodies began to fuse…. as twin voids collapsing into one.

Dan hovered in the air, his armor glowing faintly. "What the hell are you doing…?"

The answer ca in the form of darkness.

The fusion completed with a shockwave that rippled through the desert, shattering stone and bending tal.

What erged was a single colossal figure…the True Shadow of Anubis….its body layered in liquid obsidian, its power radiating like the breath of death itself.

Dan's Core of the Mind whirred to life, scanning, analyzing, breaking down the new structure atom by atom. The results appeared instantly on his vision.

He frowned.

"There are fewer weak points on the rged being… almost none at all, how do I break him now," he muttered.

The twin entities had perfectly synchronized their essences… one's weakness were nullified by the other's strength. What once were exploitable gaps in the Shadows' defense had beco seamless armor of divine energy.

The rged Anubis tilted its head, his crimson eyes gleaming.

"Few mortals have ever forced us to unite," he said, his voice layered with twin tones that echoed through the battlefield.

"You have earned our respect, Black Halo."

The Shadow raised his reford weapon…the Scythe of Judgnt…. a weapon so vast it seed to divide the heavens. The blade pulsed with a blue-black aura, every arc charged with annihilation.

Dan's Core of the Mind strained, scanning the weapon again and again…but found nothing to exploit. There was no fracture, no fault, not even a micro-oscillation of instability.

"Damn it," Dan hissed through clenched teeth. "I can't break this one."

Then the scythe fell and the sky split in half.

[So ti ago]

The armored convoy sped off, carrying the last soldiers and personnel from Fortress Myrone. This was the final evacuation.

The fortress would fall within minutes, and those left behind would have to rely on fate.

"Sienna, why must we risk our lives to save the soldiers at Fortress Myrone?" Erythos asked, glancing out the window at the smoking horizon.

Sienna gave a small, knowing smile. "Fortress Myrone is lost. The next line of defense is the Space Rift. We need every soldier we can find to hold it."

Erythos frowned. "I understand that… but it's still reckless…risking everything for a few stragglers."

Sienna's smile didn't fade. "We need him to owe us a favor. He values the people in that fortress more than anyone else. If we save them, he'll be indebted to us."

"He? You an Dan Dark?" Erythos's tone sharpened. "Why is he so important that you'd go this far just to earn his gratitude?"

"I've told you before," Sienna said calmly. "The oracle prophesied his rise to beco our leader."

Erythos raised an eyebrow. "He's powerful, yes, but to beco leader of the Alliance of the Psyche? Is he truly worthy?"

Sienna's gaze hardened. "Not the Alliance of the Psyche. The Alliance of Evolution. Dan Dark is destined to inherit Quantum's mantle… to beco the leader of the Alliance, the greatest 'Supervillain' this world will ever know."

Erythos's breath caught. "Dan Dark… is he that capable?"

"Not yet," Sienna said. "But he will be."

Before Erythos could reply, a massive thud rocked the convoy.

Shadow hounds leapt from the mist, slamming into the vehicles. tal screeched as one transport veered off the road.

Sienna's eyes flared with psychic energy—one of the beasts was hurled back by an invisible force, its skull bursting midair.

The driver, pale and shaking, regained control and pushed the convoy forward.

Monts later, the survivors reached the Space Rift.

Beyond it, alien creatures surged through the broken remains of Fortress Myrone.

The bastion had fallen.

"What now?" Erythos asked.

"We enter the Rift," Sienna said. "Once we're through, we detonate the charges on this side."

Erythos hesitated. "You'd seal it off completely? Dan Dark is still out there!"

Sienna nodded. "We must. The Rift isn't stable…if we leave it open, the aliens could follow. Collapsing the ridge above will slow them down on the other side."

"And Dan?" Erythos pressed. "He won't be able to return."

Sienna's expression softened. "He'll find a way. There are other Rifts between our worlds."

Erythos sighed. "As you wish."

As the last soldier stepped into the shimring vortex, the charges detonated. The mountainside folded inward with a deafening roar, burying the Rift beneath tons of rock.

The connection between worlds was severed….at least, for now.

------

[Back in the desert of Anu]

The Scythe of Judgnt fell over Black Halo like a teor tearing through the sky.

There was no escaping the divine weapon's descent.

Dan looked up, his eyes flickering with data streams as he scanned every part of the weapon for a weakness—a fracture, a flaw, anything he could exploit.

But there was none.

The rged Twin Shadows of Anubis had forged a scythe without imperfection.

When it landed, either Black Halo…or Dan Dark…would be erased.

"Damn it… there's no weakness at all?" Dan growled.
