Now reading: Chapter 191 from Cultivating Clan: I Am the Guardian Spirit Stone, a Martial arts novel by 一通乱写.

Traveling by large cloud ship would take just over ten days to return from Chongtian City to Wangyue.

On foot, given their current walking speed, the journey would last about two months.

But to better cultivate his physique, Yang Lingshu avoided using any techniques during their return trip, relying solely on spiritual power to protect his feet and joints.

This stretched their howard journey to over half a year.

Though lengthy, the trip proved far from dull—they encountered nurous incidents and imrsed themselves in local customs along the way.

“Thank you, Master! You saved our village’s children!”

“Master, you saved my boy!”

In a forest village, the village chief led villagers in kowtowing to a youth at the entrance. Beside him lay the corpse of a monster.

True to his thrifty nature, Lv Fangxuan stored the first-level Gathering Qi monster’s body in his storage bag. Without further words, he turned and left.

Over seven months, the trio repeatedly intervened in such conflicts.

They slew bandits, slaughtered monsters, eradicated mountain thieves, and crushed local tyrants.

Cultivators also crossed their path.

Near Qiulu’s border, they stumbled upon an old evil cultivator hiding in a valley cave—a Tenth Level practitioner who devoured children.

The cave’s depths held youngsters abducted from various regions.

Initially, the old cultivator tried fleeing upon spotting the Yang Family mbers. But sensing their cultivation levels, he reconsidered.

A cultivator’s essence blood made excellent nourishnt. Since escape seed inevitable, he decided to feast on them first.

He attacked without hesitation.

Yet as he began channeling his evil technique, a yellow wind swept forth, dissolving his spiritual power. Within monts, his body crumbled into scattered remnants.

Yang Lingrui’s Spiritual Manipulation thod ended the Tenth Level evil cultivator with a single strike.

The old fiend’s misfortune stemd from Yang Lingshu’s choice to traverse rugged mountain paths for better cultivation results—leading them straight to the hidden cave.

After rescuing the children, they delivered them to Qiulu’s nearest Immortal Patrol Office. The evil cultivator’s hoarded treasures naturally beca theirs.

Beyond bloodshed, they aided disaster victims, healed the sick, and nded bridges…

Yang Lingrui and Yang Lingshu dismissed these deeds as trivial, never claiming credit.

But Lv Fangxuan ticulously recorded every act on travel papers. He intended to compile a brief chronicle for distribution among the Yang Family’s subjects upon their return.

“Second Young Master, it’s done.”

Lv Fangxuan caught up with Yang Lingrui and Yang Lingshu walking ahead.

He first reported to Yang Lingrui, then noticed Yang Lingshu’s sweat-soaked clothes. He promptly pulled a clean set from his storage bag and handed it over.

Yang Lingshu stripped off his damp garnts. His once-pale skin had tanned to a wheat-like hue after seven months of trekking.

Muscle lines now traced his abdon, back, and limbs.

He’d strictly followed Yang Lingqing’s instructions, never using cultivation techniques during their entire journey from Chongtian City to Wangyue’s northern border.

“Young Master, your physique ets the requirents now,” Lv Fangxuan declared after inspecting Yang Lingshu’s new appearance.

“Truly?”

Yang Lingshu sought confirmation from Yang Lingrui, who nodded approval. “Acceptable.”

Though not as striking as his cousin’s extraordinary looks, Yang Lingshu’s leaner fra gave him a clean-cut handsoness.

“If Lingrui approves, it must suffice.”

Spiritual energy rippled around Yang Lingshu as water-like patterns shimred briefly around him.

Unshackled from physical travel restrictions, the trio covered ground exponentially faster. Within half a month, they reached Qinghe’s Sanglu Valley.

Elder Yu’s eyes lit up at their arrival.

“Ninth level, Lingrui! Splendid!”

“Fourth level for Lingshu – comndable progress!”

“Third-level Fangxuan – your dedication shows.”

The elder bead at their cultivation achievents.

After Lv Fangxuan departed for family visits, Elder Yu led the Yang cousins to his valley cave. He dispelled his concealnt technique upon entry.

Twin pulses of divine awareness revealed the elder’s breakthrough – seventh-level cultivation.

“Congratulations on advancing, Elder Yu!” they chorused.

“Hah! Credit goes to the Immortal Master,” the elder waved dismissively. “Chen Yang’s gift of Li Yuande’s Dao insights reignited this old man’s extinguished path.”

The ntion sobered them. Without that intervention, Yang Lingshu might’ve been expelled from Heavenly Travel Peak by Mo Xian, while Yang Lingrui’s resolve could’ve crumbled on that endless yellow earth road.

“The Yang Family owes the Immortal Master an imasurable debt,” Yang Lingrui vowed.

During lighter conversation, Yang Lingshu asked about the promised “important guests”. Elder Yu blinked, realizing the youth remained oblivious to his impending betrothal.

Withholding explanation, he sent Yang Lingshu ahead to Song Mountain.

After the youth left, Elder Yu chuckled. “You let him think this was about guests all along?”

Yang Lingrui frowned. “Didn’t Sister Qing want him presentable for visitors?”

“What?” The elder gaped before bursting into laughter. “Neither of you knew? Sharp minds turn to stone regarding romance!”

“Romance?” Comprehension dawned. “A marriage arrangent?”

“Precisely! Mayor Gao proposed a match with Wei Xinqing from the Baishi Wei Family. She’s been cultivating at Song Mountain these past months.”

Elder Yu gazed valley-ward, imagining Yang Lingshu’s imminent encounter with his bride-to-be.
