How troubleso, the rest of those demon beasts will catch up before those children reach the frontier city. Even though the losses so far have been bad, they are still manageable, sothing that won't be the case if I retreat before they have ti to reach the periter of the frontier…
Focusing all her attention on the demon beasts in front of her, the ancestor of the noble family didn't realize that she was about to walk into a trap. Not even thinking that sothing like that would be possible in the first place considering that they were within the borders of the Astorion Empire.
Not to ntion the fact that she had reached the Dao Seed Realm. Making it close to impossible for soone to ambush her, there was also the fact that she had the frontier city behind her with at least three other Dao Seed Realm cultivators ready to interfere in case she was ambushed by soone… And given how short the distance was, she didn't think it would be possible for soone to kill her in the short ti it would take the Dao Seed Realm cultivators in the frontier city to show up and assist her.
The only people who even had the ability to do sothing like that in the first place would be legendary existences at the Celestial Immortal Realm, which in turn wouldn't need to lay in ambush to kill her in the first place.
It was because of this underlying thought that she had dared to leave the frontier city and confront the Dao Seed Realm demon beast on her own. Even going as far as thinking about holding off the rest of the Dao Seed Realm demon beasts for a short ti while her people safely escaped into the frontier city.
In her mind, if things ended up becoming dangerous, she could always retreat back into the frontier city that was no more than a few seconds away for soone with her strength.
As for resisting the seven total of seven Dao Seed Realm demon beast in the demon beast horde that she and her family had created, that wasn't anything to worry about, as the guardian formation laid down to protect the frontier city was set up by one of the Celestial Immortals of the imperial family skilled in the Dao of Formations.
From what she knew, not to ntion the demon beasts in front of her, the formation guarding the frontier city was said to have been specially designed to resist a Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast for long enough that a Celestial Immortal from the capital had the ti to show up and protect the frontier city.
Of course, the Celestial Immortal of the Astorion Empire wouldn't be alerted unless a Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast was detected by the formation. If not, she and her family would have never dared to create an artificial demon beast wave to hide their plan of killing the ancestor of the Chun Family…

Like this, the fight continued even as the second Dao Seed Realm demon beast appeared and joined the fight. Followed by the third, four… Until all seven Dao Seed Realm demon beasts had joined in.
It's ti to retreat…
Only barely able to hold on for a single round when faced with the seven Dao Seed Realm demon beast, the old ancestor of the noble family knew her own limits as she began retreating back towards the frontier city before she ended up being injured by the powerful demon beasts-

However, it was at this mont Xuan Hao who had been biding his ti erged from the shadows. Using the Dao of Space to instantly cross the distance, while using the Dao of the Sword in combination with the Dao of Illusions to attack. Creating countless illusory attacks in front of the old woman. Making it impossible for her to sense which one of them was the real one within a short period of ti, let alone in the ti it would take for Xuan Hao's attack to reach her!
"Huh?" Not having expected to be ambushed just when she was retreating back towards the frontier city with seven powerful demon beasts right behind her, the old ancestor of the noble family could only let out a sowhat stupid sound before she realized the gravity of her current situation-

And just before Xuan Hao's attack could land, she pulled out a defensive talisman that instantly transford into a transparent shield blocking Xuan Hao's attack before shattering. Successfully blocking Xuan Hao's attack.
However, Xuan Hao never expected to kill the ancestor of the noble family with a single attack in the first place. Instead, what he wanted to do was not kill her, but instead stop her retreat and push her back into the seven Dao Seed Realm demon beasts behind her-

And just like he had expected, three of the demon beasts instantly jumped on the opportunity and took advantage of the old woman having just defend against Xuan Hao to attack her before she had a chance to recover from the shock of soone ambushing her.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Soon enough resulting in the old woman being fully surrounded by the demon beasts without any path out, her previous escape route being cut off. Forcing her to use so of her most precious lifesaving treasures that she had spent her entire life gathering to hold on against the seven demon beasts, while also desperately using her communication talisman to request help from not only her family, but also the four ruling families of the frontier city in a desperate attempt to survive her now deadly situation.

Not a second later, four powerful auras erged from the frontier city before rushing in the direction of the battle, three of them belonging to the ruling families while the last one belonged to another of the noble family's Dao Seed Realm cultivators.
Among the ruling families, only the Chun Family's old ancestor, Chun Hua's grandfather, didn't show up for obvious reasons…
"Hm… They reacted a bit faster than expected, but it doesn't matter, as long as I can keep them at bay for a few minutes, she will die under the continues attack of those seven demon beasts…" Not having bothered to hide himself again now that his presence had been revealed, Xuan Hao calmly and confidently faced the four approaching Dao Seed Realm cultivators.
Given his current strength, he was more than confident when it ca to holding off the four Dao Seed Realm cultivators by himself. Especially considering that the strongest among them only had the strength of a fifth layer dao seed.

For the first ti in a long ti, Xuan Hao fully unleashed his strength at the Late Stage of the Dao Seed Realm. Allowing his Dao Domain to rapidly spread out and envelop the approaching Dao Seed Realm cultivators-

In turn, the four Dao Seed Realm cultivators each showed different degrees of surprise on their face as they suddenly felt the Dao Domain enveloping them. Although they had no idea what it was, they instinctively understood that it wasn't sothing good…

And as if to answer their doubts, Xuan Hao directly turned the dao domain into a purgatory that burned everything inside of it. Using the Dao Domain to amplify the strength of his Dao of Fire, a use of the Dao Domain that he had only just recently discovered was possible.
"Dao of Fire! Where is this person from and why is he targeting my great aunt!?" Forced to defend against the powerful flas created by Xuan Hao, the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family could not help looking towards Xuan Hao in dismay. Not understanding where such a powerful cultivator had co from and how his family had managed to offend soone like that.
"Get yourself together! We have to work together if we want to save that old woman!" Seeing the state of the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family, one of the three other Dao Seed Realm cultivators kindly reminded him that now was not the ti for trying to figure out their opponent's identity.
"This… I understand…" Realizing that his wandering thoughts had cost a few precious seconds, the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family quickly cald down as he began working together with the other three Dao Seed Realm cultivators to push through the terrifying flas towards the location where the old woman was struggling to stay alive in the face of the seven demon beasts trying their best to kill her.

At the sa ti, back in the frontier city, the guardian formation also sensed the threat of the dao domain and activated on its own to protect the frontier city. Instantly causing a massive barrier to form around the frontier city. Protecting it from Xuan Hao's dao domain that had essentially turned everything inside of it into a purgatory of fire.
"This…"
"Wow…"
Seeing this scene, both Chun Hua and her grandfather were left speechless. None of them having expected sothing like this to happen…
