"Guess I will not be leaving for now…"
Seeing the sandworm that had revealed itself seed to be close to waking up, Chu Yang quickly moved back to his original position to avoid disturbing it any more than he had already done. In the process unconsciously moving a bit deeper into the desert without noticing it.
Soon enough, realizing that both the sandworm about to wake up nearby and the sandworm leisurely moving around at the border of the safe part of the desert had completely disappeared from view. Landing him in the middle of a desert without a clue of where he was.
The only way he had to determine his location was through the concentration of the special sand, which luckily wasn't that hard to find, as he soon managed to regain his sense of what direction was further inside and which one led out of the desert.
However, knowing that leaving the way he had co would be impossible without disturbing the sandworms sleeping inside the sand dunes from his previous experience, he could only begin to slowly move deeper inside the desert while gathering the special sand along the way like originally planned.
Thinking about how he was going to leave the desert would co later, as he decided to focus his full attention on gathering as much of the special sand as possible for now. Intend on gathering at least ten thousand grains of sand or a handful of special sand before trying to find a way to leave the desert.
Although… In the back of his mind, he had already foreseen that he would be forced to use one of his two remaining talismans to escape from the desert in the future, as he could simply not logically think of any other way to escape from the desert with his current strength.
After all, the sandworms hidden inside the sand dunes were at least at the Soul Ascension Realm.
Even if not every sand dune had a sandworm hidden inside it and only one out of a thousand had a sandworm hidden inside of it, that would still be more than a hundred sandworm in the Soul Ascension Realm he would have to run past trying to leave the desert.
Not to ntion, as he continued making his way deeper inside the desert, he clearly felt an intangible pressure enveloping him. Bringing back mories of the ti when he had tried to challenge Pei Yang to a fight to see how he would do against soone in the Dao Seed Realm.
No surprise, the fight ended in an instant without him having any chance to resist, but it did allow him to beco sowhat familiar with the unconscious pressure that was released by soone in the Dao Seed Realm… And… The slight intangible pressure he was starting to feel as he moved deeper inside the desert clearly stemd from soone in the Dao Seed Realm!
Is it a Dao Seed Realm sandworm or another kind of demon beast?
Given that he could already feel the presence of the Dao Seed Realm demon beast, he understood that the other party would almost certainly have discovered him with its strength and given how it had not attacked him, he understood that it was either peaceful and minded its own business like the sandworm roaming the edges of the established safe zone or was in so kind of special situation that prevented it from taking action against him.
Though he wanted to believe it to be peaceful like the sandworm patrolling along the edges of what could be considered the core region of the desert, Chu Yang highly doubted that this was the case given the other party's identity as a demon beast that had most likely spent its entire life locked up inside the secret realm.
"A sandworm…"
However, upon finally finding the origin of the terrifying pressure that had grown increasingly heavy the further inside the desert he traveled, Chu Yang was shocked to discover that the demon beast in question was not only a massive sandworm that looked like a small mountain range from afar but was also pinned to the ground by several large chains that prevented it from moving.
But the thing that caught his attention was not the chains themselves or the massive sandworm, but instead the several small human figures on top the body of the massive sandworm. All of whom seed busy at work trying to break the chains nailing the massive sandworm to the ground.
Just from a glance, it was clear that these small human figures on top of the massive sandworm were none other than the human cultivators that had entered the deeper part of the desert before him.
Not only had they survived, but they now seed to be actively helping the large demon beast escape from its restraints. Having already managed to break two of the twelve largest chains holding down the gargantuan sandworm.
What are these people doing? Are they perhaps trying to die faster or sothing?
Unable to understand why these cultivators would do sothing as reckless as trying to free massive mountain range sized sandworm that they had encountered, Chu Yang could not help freezing on the spot as he stared towards the group of humans hard at work on the third major sealing chain with a sowhat shocked expression plastered all over his face.
Wait! Is it perhaps so kind of mind control or soul control technique!? Indeed, with such a major difference in realm, it might be possible for the sandworm to employ so kind of soul control technique to force those people to free it even while being sealed.
Don't tell … Is it perhaps in control of the other sandworms? Only allowing people to move deeper inside the desert so it can have humans aid it in escaping from the chains, but… That makes no sense, the sandworms are clearly far stronger, why does it not use them to try and break the chains?
Lost in his own thoughts as he stared off in the direction of the massive sandworm towering far into the sky, Chu Yang could not help tightly griping the talisman from his master that he had already taken out in preparation for a possible ntal attack from the sealed sandworm in the distance.
