Now reading: Chapter 1499 Safe Escape from Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough, a Action novel by PurpleSpring.

Seeing one of the slightly weaker demon beasts staring directly towards him, Chu Yang could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine as he understood just how bad his current situation was. Not only didn't he have anything to protect himself, but he was also in the middle of an extrely dangerous maze that could result in death around any corner he took.

Outside of that, he now also realized that the small and weak demon beasts from earlier were far more dangerous than he first expected. Making him realize that whatever killed those he had pushed inside the small room beforehand should have encountered sothing truly terrifying for it to kill a demon beast that could very well have reached the Dao Seed Realm in an instant.

Rooar-!

As he was lost in his own thoughts not knowing what to do, the demon beast that had been staring towards him let out a small roar that alerted the other demon beasts before starting to leisurely approach him. Clearly not thinking he would be capable of fighting back considering the very clear difference in their strength.

At the sa ti, it was also obvious from a glance that this demon beast had been one of the demon beasts he had forced into the small room earlier, as its eyes seed to tell him that it wasn't planning on letting him die easily.

This… I can't escape…

Feeling the gaze and understanding that he indeed didn't have any way to escape from demon beasts who were at the Soul Ascension Realm and Dao Seed Realm, Chu Yang could only smile helplessly to himself as the demon beast slowly got closer to him.

No! I can't just give up like that! If there is sothing in here that these demon beasts fear, then I might still be able to escape!

Feeling a sense of renewed hope light up inside of him as he rembered how most of the demon beasts, he had pushed inside the small room had ended up dead without a chance to escape, Chu Yang regained the fighting spirit that had sowhat been extinguished when facing an opponent that he stood absolutely no chance of defeating-

Swish-!

And so, before the demon beast approaching him had a chance to react, he made his move and dashed backwards before moving into one of the paths that the demon beasts inside their little safe zone had been avoiding.

Of course, with the difference in strength, he would normally not have been able to do sothing like this, but the sheer shock of him being able to regain his bearing and escape was more than enough to buy him enough ti to enter the new path through the maze-

ROOOOAR-!

Although… By the ti that the demon beast approaching him realized what had happened, it didn't hesitate for even a second before charging after him, its relaxed and domineering attitude changing completely.

Thump-!

However, as it ca to the entrance of the new path that Chu Yang had decided to escape down, the demon beast ultimately froze on the spot with a hesitant expression plastered all over its forrly angry face.

Clearly, Chu Yang had been correct in the path being sothing dangerous that even a Soul Ascension Realm demon beast didn't dare go down.

Even better, the rest of the demon beasts didn't try to follow him either after realizing the path he had gone down. Instead, just placing themselves around the entrance to the path as they all gathered together to look at him like he was already a dead person.

"Looks like this path is indeed dangerous enough for even those demon beasts in the Dao Seed Realm to not dare take a step after … Is it perhaps a demon beast comparable to the Celestial Immortal Realm?" Muttering this to himself as he saw the clear fear and hesitation on the faces of the demon beasts as they all moved over to block the path he had entered through; Chu Yang could not help feeling a hint of regret over his choice to enter the path.

Of course, the regret only lasted for a split second, as he soon shook his head and focused on inspecting his surroundings. Understanding that if he hadn't decided to enter the path, he would have already been captured by the demon beasts.

Even if the path itself might be more dangerous, it could also be that the danger inside the path would ignore him given just how weak he was compared to those demon beasts.

Although… Given how those demon beasts had been looking at him like an already dead person, he had a feeling that it might not matter how weak he was, as the danger would likely still show itself to him even if he was weak.

The only good thing so far was that he had not seen anything out of the ordinary so far. The walls of the maze and the ground beneath his feet were the sa with no changes compared to the other paths he had walked through inside the maze.

If there really was sothing dangerous hidden inside this path, it wasn't sothing he could spot at the mont, though… That might just be because his current strength was too weak to notice the danger that the demon beasts outside saw.

I hope I can make it out safely…

Closing his eyes for a brief mont as he thought about his master and his fellow disciples back in the sect, Chu Yang slowly started making his way through the seemingly normal path.

Slowly, after an hour of painfully walking along the path, he finally made it to the other side.

Surprisingly, nothing had ended up happening to him during the entire process. Making him think that he might have gotten lucky and the danger that those demon beasts feared might not have targeted him because of how weak he was compared to them.

No use thinking about it, now I have to be alert at all tis as I can't safely leave the maze the sa way I ca in!

Stopping himself before he ended up lowering his guard due to the rather safe journey through the deadly path in the eyes of the demon beasts, Chu Yang reminded himself of all the other dangerous demon beasts wandering around the maze.

Although he had managed to safely escape for now, he still had to watch out for any other demon beasts as he continued moving through the maze on his own without any guidance.

At this point in ti, his goal was no longer to find what might be hidden inside of the small room, guarded by the formation, but instead just to get out of the maze, as it was clearly far too dangerous for him to traverse with his current cultivation realm.

Not to ntion his current cultivation realm, even if he broke through and reached the Soul Ascension Realm, he doubted that he would be able to safely traverse the maze where even Dao Seed Realm demon beasts could be found.

Shaking his head as he felt his thoughts starting to wander, Chu Yang didn't waste any more ti staying in the sa location, as he ignored the surprised looks of the demon beasts still watching him from afar before starting to follow another path that he hoped would lead him back out of the maze.

….

Roar?

At the sa ti Chu Yang disappeared from sight down another path, one of the demon beasts who had been watching him all of this ti could not help letting out a surprised roar upon seeing how he had managed to safely move through the path that they considered the most dangerous path in the entire maze.

Feeling doubtful and thinking the danger that had prevented them from travelling down the path might have disappeared, the doubtful demon beast that had reached the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm took a step forward and entered the path.

Roar!

Seeing this, one of the stronger demon beasts in the Dao Seed Realm called out to the demon beast that had wandered down the sa path as Chu Yang-

RUMBLE-!

CHOMP!

However, it was too late, as a massive mouth suddenly erged from the wall and swallowed the demon beast at the Peak Soul Ascension Realm before it even had the chance to fight back. Leaving nothing behind, as the giant mouth retreated back into the normal looking walls and disappeared like nothing had happened.

Roar…!

Roar…

Seeing what had happened the other demon beasts who had similar doubts quickly retreated fearfully. No longer daring to get too close to the path.

If Chu Yang had been present, he would have instantly realized that the demon beast that had just appeared was not just in the Dao Seed Realm, but it had reached the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm, a realm he had not seen anywhere before on the continent.
