Even if he knew he was being tracked down by the guardian formation, there wasn't much he could do about it, as trying to leave the city now would only make him more suspicious. Possibly even resulting in the guardian formation being activated to prevent his escape.
Of course, with his current comprehension of the Dao of Space, there wasn't much the guardian formation or the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator could do if he wanted to leave.
Even if teleportation inside the city had been restricted, he could simply use the Illusory Light Steps to leave the city before the formation could seal him inside and then escape with Drifting Cloud Steps.
After all, even though teleportation had been made impossible inside Dragon Tooth Mountain City and the area around the city, the area affected was extrely limited and didn't account for more than a few thousand ters outside of the city itself.
If he left the city, he would be able to make full use of the Dao of Space to co and go as he wished, there was nothing the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator guarding the city would be able to do about.
