A few hours before Qing Yi ended up calling her master for help and she and Chun Hua had not yet managed to find Chu Yang, their master, Xuan Hao, was still in the process of searching through the inner region of the ancient ruins. Looking for the Dao Seed Realm wandering cultivators that had apparently entered the ancient ruins in search of opportunities to further advance their cultivation.
So far, he had managed to find two of these Dao Seed Realm cultivators during his ti wandering through the ancient ruins. Alas, one of the two Dao Seed Realm cultivators had already been dead when he found them, while the second one was a rather unsavory type that seed more interested in engaging in all sorts of immoral actions by himself in the depths of the ruins out of sight.
To be honest, it had taken him everything in him to not end this person the mont he had spotted him. However, given that he wasn't harming anyone and had even deliberately entered the depths of the ancient ruins to avoid others, Xuan Hao couldn't bring himself to kill this fellow that seed like a good person according to the information he had managed to gather beforehand.
Of course, that was outside of that unsavory behavior he had ended up witnessing.
"Hopefully I will be able to encounter one of the remaining three Dao Seed Realm cultivators soon and it won't be soone like that guy…" Muttering this to himself as he continued moving through the ancient ruins mostly composed of ruined buildings and artificial landscapes that had long since been overtaken by nature and returned to a more wild and natural state, Xuan Hao casually glanced over a nearby Dao Seed Realm demon beast that soon shivered in fear before retreating out of sight.
Although he could in a sense be considered in the sa realm as the Dao Seed Realm demon beast, it was only at the Early Stage of the Realm, while he himself could be considered at the Late Stage of the Realm, a qualitive difference that was like the difference between a Foundation Establishnt Realm cultivator and a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator. Instinctively, the demon beast understood that it stood no chance in fighting him, thus causing it to fearfully retreat to avoid being killed.
This kind of intimidation was extrely useful so far and had allowed him to explore the inner region with little to no resistance outside of the few tis he had ended up running into a demon beast comparable to the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.
Of course, even then, it had been little to no difficulty for him to deal with, as he only really viewed the Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts that might be lurking inside the inner regions as a threat.
On the other hand, had he been soone in the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm like the wandering cultivators he was searching for, it would have taken far longer to explore the inner region. Having to fight his way through while also staying extrely cautious of the Middle Stage Dao Seed Realm demon beasts roaming around.
The danger could easily be seen from how one of the two Dao Seed Realm cultivators he had encountered so far was already dead.
Even if these Dao Seed Realm cultivators had been inside the ancient ruins for far longer than him, it was still a clear indication of the danger found inside of the ancient ruins.
Not to ntion, outside of the inner region teeming with Dao Seed Realm demon beasts, there was also the core region of the ancient ruins, a location that even Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators tended to avoid due to it being ho to a still unknown number of Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts.
In fact, the few Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts that could be found in the inner region of the ancient ruins had just wandered out from the core region and wouldn't be permanently staying there, as they would generally make their way back to the Core Region after wandering around the inner region for a few days.
"Hm?" As he was watching the scared Dao Seed Realm demon beast escaping before hiding away among the ancient ruins, he suddenly felt sothing in the distance. Making him stop for a mont before focusing his attention on the disturbance.
"A fight…"
Although he was still far away, it wasn't that difficult for him to deduce the origin of the disturbance after he focused his attention on it. Making his sowhat casual deanor turn into one filled with excitent.
After all, in the ti that he had spent inside of the ancient ruins, it was clear that the demon beasts living inside of the ancient ruins ignored each other and wouldn't fight even if they wandered into another demon beast's territory. The only battles that would take place in the ancient ruins were between cultivators and demon beasts.
Unless it was demon beasts below the Dao Seed Realm, as those tended to clash rather often inside of the ancient ruins.
However, this didn't really matter much to Xuan Hao, as he was looking for soone in the Dao Seed Realm and not soone below the Dao Seed Realm… And more importantly, the disturbance he was sensing now clearly ca from at least a fight between soone in the Dao Seed Realm.
Swish-!
And so, without wasting any ti, Xuan Hao directly rushed forward filled with excitent at finally having the opportunity to encounter another Dao Seed Realm cultivator. Hoping silently that it didn't end up like his past two encounters, as he really didn't wish to continue searching through the inner region of the ancient ruins for any longer than he already had. Especially considering that the sheer size of the inner region was far larger than he had first originally believed. Making travelling through the entire inner region of the ancient ruins far more ti-consuming than he had first thought it to be…
Huh? More than one Dao Seed Realm cultivator is actually here!? What great luck…!
Arriving at the scene of the battle in a split second after making full use of his Illusory Light Steps, Xuan Hao showed a surprised expression on his face followed by one filled with joy upon realizing that there wasn't just one Dao Seed Realm wandering cultivator present, but two!
Even better, the two Dao Seed Realm cultivators were not fighting each other, but were instead locked in battle working together against a demon beast in the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.
Bang-bang-bang!
Watching the battle to get a better idea of how things were going for the two wandering cultivators, it didn't take long for him to realize that even though the two wandering cultivators were fighting two against one, they were on the losing side.
Not so much because the demon beast was far superior to them in terms of strength, but more so because one of the two Dao Seed Realm cultivators was injured and couldn't fight with her full strength. Giving the demon beast a weak point to exploit as it focused most of its attention on trying to take out the weakened wandering cultivator who was barely managing to keep herself alive for now.
However, as he continued observing this losing battle that kept getting worse for the two wandering cultivators, he could not help wondering what the two of them were thinking as neither of them decided to try and run away.
After all, the non-injured wandering cultivator had more than enough opportunities to escape.
Even if it was because he didn't want to leave his friend behind, the two could at least have tried to escape together instead of staying behind to fight out a losing battle with a far stronger opponent.
Unless… The two of them have sothing planned to take down the demon beast…
Narrowing both of his eyes slightly as he thought about this, he couldn't help observing the surrounding ruins in more detail. Soon enough spotting a small hidden formation not too far away from the two wandering cultivators.
Given his comprehension of the Dao of Formations, it wasn't difficult for him to tell that this was not only so kind of offensive formation, but also an ancient one that carried enough power to even make him feel a shiver run down his spine.
Using an ancient formation to deal with a more powerful opponent. Not a bad idea…
Understanding the plan of the two wandering cultivators, Xuan Hao silently nodded his head in praise of the two and their idea to use one of the ancient formations hidden throughout the ancient ruins to aid them in taking down a far more powerful opponent.
Although simple on the surface, it was an extrely dangerous plan, as they would have to avoid the formation or potentially end up being swept up alongside their enemy, a certain death sentence considering the strength hidden inside of it even made him feel a shiver run down his spine…
