Leaving the Frozen Wastelands and the two senior figures behind to think about what had just happened on their own and figure out what to do next regarding the strange tree root, Xuan Hao soon managed to return back to the Star Shattering Sect without encountering any problems along the way due to him using a teleportation technique to directly skip past any Celestial Immortal Realm or Demon King Realm cultivators who might have been blocking his path.
Although, he wasn't that worried about these few people, as the only existence he was truly a bit worried about running into on his way back to the sect was the existence behind the cut off tree root, as even though he was curious about this existence, he also understood that there would be certain risks to running into them on his own. Especially without anyone around restraining the other party, who shouldn't be in the bests of moods at the current mont.
In the end, he decided to remain vigilant for now. Keeping an eye out for any disturbances over the next few days, as he wouldn't truly feel safe until that existence behind the cut off tree root appeared and left without causing any trouble for the Star Shattering Sect.

At the sa ti Xuan Hao disappeared from the Frozen Wastelands, the old monk along with the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands stared at the place where he had disappeared for a brief mont before both returned their attention back towards each other.

Clearly not fearing that the other party would dare to do anything to him, as the main enemy of the Frozen Wastelands wasn't soone like himself from the Western Central Region.
Attempting to kill him would only end up wasting resources and at the sa ti present a perfect opportunity for the rest of the major powers of the Northern Central Region to strike and take advantage of the situation.
After all, today had just been a test of the Blue Sea Empire. Not the entire Northern Central Region… And there were certainly other powers present in the Northern Central Region who were more than capable of standing up against the Blue Sea Empire, like their old enemies, the Wei Empire.
Even if the two powers were hostile to each other, the old monk and the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands both understood that this wouldn't stop the Wei Empire from taking a chance to deal a heavy blow to the demonic cultivators if the opportunity presented itself. Especially because the Blue Sea Empire's recent inaction hinted at a problem with the Land Creation Realm Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire.
The first could be a deliberate show of weakness considering it involved soone from the Western Central Region, but a second ti would essentially solidify the fact that there was sothing wrong…
Because of all this, the old monk could leave the Frozen Wastelands safely without being attacked even after he himself had co and started a conflict with the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands a short ti earlier.
"… The Star Shattering Sect… Stronger than I expected, so plans will have to be adjusted…" Staring emotionlessly in the area where Xuan Hao had disappeared in earlier without paying any attention to the old monk quietly slipping away, the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands remained floating in the sa location for a good few minutes before slowly turning around. Retreating into the core of the Frozen Wastelands without saying a single word. The strange tree that had drawn him out in the first place, no longer of any interest to him.
The reason for this was not just that the object- the enlightennt orb that had been safeguarded inside the tree root had already been taken away, but also because he, like Xuan Hao, understood that the owner of the tree root would likely soon be showing up and cause a scene and he didn't want to get dragged into another unwarranted battle for no reason.
And different from Xuan Hao, who hadn't been able to tell how strong the owner of the cut off tree root was, he could pick up on a few clues and deduce the general strength of the spiritual tree that the tree root had been cut off from… And it wasn't sothing he wanted to involve himself with if it could be avoided.
For this reason, the location that had been the place where two powerful Land Creation Realm level combatants had been about to engage in a deadly battle with each other over a dead tree root without anything of value outside of attracting a potential new enemy, had beco deadly silent, as there was no longer anyone around. Returning the area to its previous calm before a certain soone had left a strange tree root there after spreading rumors about it along the way…

Not much different from the two Land Creation level combatants, the rest of the Celestial Immortal level combatants on both the Frozen Wastelands and the Northern Central Region's side also began to slowly disperse. Putting an end to any ongoing conflicts, as those on the side of the Northern Central Region wanted to rush back from the Frozen Wastelands and inform the people behind them about what had happened, while the demonic cultivators were just eager to visit the core region to see if they could find out more about what had transpired from ruler of the Frozen Wastelands. At the sa ti also hoping that they would be able to find out more about the terrifying Profound Immortal Realm cultivators who had suddenly appeared and scared close to half of them into running with their tails tucked in between their legs.
The enmities that had slowly been ford over the past few years of war between the different Early Stage Demon King Realm demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wastelands and the Early Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators from the different major powers of the Northern Central Region were put on hold after they had finally had the chance to fully erupt during the confrontation between the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands and the old monk.
Now that they were once again unable to fight without restraints, there were a few cultivators and demonic cultivators who felt a bit unwilling to simply let go and leave, as their battles continued even after a majority left…

Sothing that soon enough led to one of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators that had decided to stay behind and continue his fight dying under the combined attack of three Demon King Realm demonic cultivators who had rushed over after the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators began retreating from the Frozen Wastelands.

And as if they had suddenly gained the ability to use their brain for once, the cultivators who had originally been staying behind quickly turned around and escaped out of the Frozen Wastelands at full speed after sensing the death of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator. Only now did they rember that they were still in enemy territory and weren't in the Northern Central Region where there would be friends ready to help in case they ran into trouble.
On the other hand, it was their enemies who had friends nearby to help them out in case sothing ended up happening.
Of course, they were still demonic cultivators, so asking for help in a bad situation was doubtful, as they might end up being targeted as well, but at least when it ca to getting rid of the outsiders, the demonic cultivators worked together well.
In the end, outside of that single casualty, everyone else managed to safely escape from the Frozen Wastelands alive, though, it also had to do with the fact that the stronger demonic cultivators in the core of the Frozen Wastelands still decided to restrain themselves. Allowing this to happen to avoid a broader conflict from erupting before they were ready for it.
