Having dealt with the Late Stage Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast, Xuan Hao didn’t linger around and began moving in the direction that Huo fen and ng Jie had escaped in when he had knocked the now dead demon beast flying before it could reach the two of them.
Given just how much stronger he was compared to the two of them, he was fully confident in being able to catch up with the two of them before they had a chance to disappear again. Especially so considering their main path of escape in the form of the spatial artifact had been rendered useless inside the Verdant Abyss and while his own spatial movent had also been restricted in a similar way, he could at the very least rely on his Illusory Light Steps to ensure his movent wasn’t too affected.
Speaking of which, it wasn’t that his Dao of Space was entirely sealed inside the Verdant Abyss, it was more so that any spatial movent would activate the formation covering the place and throw sowhere deeper into the abyss... And although he was confident in his own strength, he had no plan of testing out just how dangerous the Verdant Abyss really was. Not ntioning that doing so would leave him with no chance of finding Huo Fen and ng Jie again, sothing that would not just an he would lose out on the Stardusk Essence, but also an almost certain death for the master disciple pair.
After all, the two of them found themselves so deep in the Verdant Abyss that even a demon beast at the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm had targeted them the second they appeared. Finding their way out without being noticed by another Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast was... Improbable...

Already making his way in the direction that Huo Fen and his disciple had fled in while his thoughts wandered, Xuan Hao found himself sowhat caught off guard as he felt a new demon beast appearing within the range of his divine sense. Not just that, but the demon beast just so happened to be clearly targeting the two people he was trying to catch up with.
"Don’t you dare!"

Feeling a hint of both fear and anger washing over him after seeing the massive flying demon beast at the Middle Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm opening its massive mouth wide before diving down towards the master disciple pair still unaware of the danger looming above, he didn’t hesitate for a second as he used the Illusory Light Steps to their full potential. Turning into a flash of brilliant light that flashed through the ancient forest at a speed far beyond anything the demon beast on the other side could react to-

As by the ti that it finally realized Xuan Hao was there, it was already too late, as it was sent flying into the distance in a manner not so different from what had happened to the Late Stage Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast a short ti earlier.
Well... There was one major difference...
Ahhh! It hurts! Why did I have to headbutt it like that!
And that was the fact that Xuan Hao simply didn’t have the ti to stop and kick it flying and instead had to ram into the demon beast with what ended up being his head, as being any slower would have resulted in him being a fraction too slow in saving Huo Fen and his disciple from being swallowed by the demon beast that had been less than five centiters away from reaching the two of them by the ti he reached the demon beast.
Painful as headbutting the flying demon beast might have been due to the iron like feathers covering the flying demon beast’s body, it didn’t really do any damage to him outside of the pain he felt from the impact.
Whoosh~
But there was no ti for him to complain about it, as he quickly chased after the demon beast he had ended up headbutting into the distance. Intending to finish this demon beast up as fast as possible so he could take a short break to get the Stardusk Essence from Huo Fen, as by now, he was already fully intent on forcibly taking the Stardusk Essence if the situation called for it...
"Huh? What was that!?"
"Master... I think I saw sothing large about to eat us just now!"
"Eat us!? But... Hm... Now that I think about it, I did sense a terrifying presence bearing down on us just now, but before I could check on it, it seed to have been knocked into the distance like the demon beast we first encountered after ending up in this place."
"Ohhhh! I understand! Maybe the demon beasts are fighting each other, and we happened to end up in the middle of so kind of struggle for power between the demon beasts!"
"This... Makes sense..."
At the sa ti Xuan Hao was off to deal with another demon beast, the two people whose lives had just barely been saved by a courageous last second headbutt were left wondering if they had stumbled into a territorial war between powerful demon beasts.
"If we really are in the middle of so kind of battlefield, we should do our best to get out of this place as fast as possible and try out best to avoid any battles along the way. After all, we have no idea just how far reaching this conflict between demon beasts truly is, but...

Nodding her head in agreent with her master’s words, ng Jie wordlessly agreed with what her master said, as the two of them soon began to cautiously make their way through the ancient foliage all around them. Making sure to avoid any direction where they could hear the roars of demon beasts and sounds of battle.
