Filled with anger and killing intent at the realization that everything that had happened along with the death of its child was nothing more than a ruse to lure it out of the more dangerous core of the Verdant Abyss, the demon beast’s attention shifted almost entirely from Xuan Hao to the Land Creation Realm cultivator who had just blown up the body of its dead child.

Although Xuan Hao had been the one to kill its child, it was clear to the demon beast that the main person behind all of it was the Land Creation Realm cultivator who had just blown up the body of its child, thus, even if it still wanted to kill Xuan Hao, it understood that its main target wasn’t him.

Instead, it was the Land Creation Realm cultivator!

Roooar-!

And so, without a single hint of hesitation, the demon beast let out a loud roar that echoed across the ancient forest before it charged towards the Land Creation Realm cultivator filled with killing intent-

"Huh!? Why... Why is it targeting !?"

Much to the surprise of the Land Creation Realm cultivator who was unaware that he had already turned into the secret mastermind behind everything in the eyes of the demon beast, as he could only raise his own defense in preparation to et the charging demon beast.

Boom-!

As the two equally powerful opponents t each other in a violent clash that forced Xuan Hao and the surrounding cultivators back, Xuan Hao made full use of the brief lack of attention from the Land Creation Realm cultivator as he was focused on the demon beast to slip past him.

In the end, the clash had not only given him an opportunity to slip past the now busy Land Creation Realm cultivator but had also disrupted the defensive line behind him enough for him to slip past before the other side could recover from the sudden clash.

ROOOAR-!

However, to the demon beast who still had a part of its attention focused on Xuan Hao during the entire ordeal, it didn’t look like Xuan Hao had managed to sneak past the Land Creation Realm cultivator and the large number of cultivators lined up behind in a defensive formation. Instead, it looked like they had deliberately opened a path for him to slip back behind them into safety, sothing that only angered the demon beast even further, as it felt this was a direct confirmation regarding its earlier speculation on what had happened.

After all, even if the clash just now looked powerful and had knocked back the Land Creation Realm cultivator and the cultivators behind him, it shouldn’t have been enough to cause a disturbance large enough that soone like Xuan Hao would have been able to just slip through their defenses.

In a sense, the attack just now could be considered a test to ensure that it wasn’t misunderstanding sothing and attacking a powerful cultivator who was by no ans weaker than itself.

Unknowingly, to the demon beast, the attack just now had co so unexpectedly that it had indeed caused a fatal flaw that Xuan Hao could make use of to slip through the two defensive lines to appear, but there was no way the demon beast had expected sothing like that. After all, the flaw that appeared wasn’t exactly sothing anyone would be able to make use of, as Xuan Hao’s swift action to slip past the two lines of defense was entirely thanks to the Illusory Light Steps that allowed his speed to only be slightly below that of soone in the Land Creation Realm.

If it had been a normal Sea Formation Realm cultivator or a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator of equal strength, there would have been no way for them to slip through as easily as he had done. Not to ntion, even if they did manage to slip through, it wouldn’t have been without resistance and would have alerted the demon beast to the fact that Xuan Hao and the group of cultivators were not on the sa side.

Not like what had ended up happening, where it looked like everyone had fallen back to allow Xuan Hao to slip through the defensive line into safety where those below the Celestial Immortal or Profound Immortal Realm were hidden along with their supplies for the expedition.

"This..."

Finding himself caught between a rock and a hard place as he felt the demon beast attacking him with far more fervor than before, the Land Creation Realm cultivator could not help feeling a hint of annoyance deep inside.

From the initial clash just now, he had already realized what the demon beast was doing, but he had been too slow to respond, and Xuan Hao had managed to slip past him and his subordinates.

Now, because of this mistake, he found himself forced to face off against a demon beast no weaker than himself that had already decided that he was the main enemy who had to be killed... And although he felt confident in being able to win if the fight dragged on for an extended period of ti due to his opponent being rather reckless and the support he had from his subordinates on the side, he also understood that this was the Verdant Abyss.

If the fight really did end up dragging on for too long, there was a chance that more demon beasts would be attracted and join in. Making the entire battle turn into a chaotic brawl.

Although his subordinates would be able to delay the inevitable and buy him more ti by dealing with the first few demon beasts who appeared, it couldn’t be dealt with forever and stronger demon beasts would inevitably show up.

To win a battle on this scale inside the Verdant Abyss, one would have to finish things up within at most a day or two, sothing that was already difficult when faced with an equally powerful opponent. Especially so when that opponent was a demon beast well known for their powerfully vitality that made them far harder to kill.

Just who in the world was that Sea Formation Realm cultivator!? To drag this damnable demon beast over to and have deal with it for him! Just who does he think he is! When I get out of this place, I will make sure to get my revenge!

Filled with anger as he thought about his current troubleso situation, the Land Creation Realm cultivator now locked in a deadly battle with a terrifying demon beast that seed intent on doing everything in its power to kill, felt his mind drifting towards the one behind the current situation he found himself in.

Even though he had no idea who Xuan Hao was outside of a brief glance over his appearance that was almost definitely so kind of disguise, he was set in stone regarding what to do after he got out of his current situation... And that was finding that troublemaker and punishing him.

No matter how difficult this might be under normal circumstances, this Land Creation Realm cultivator was far from ordinary and ca from a certain major power that dominated part of the Southern Central Region with a Star Creation Realm cultivator behind it. Giving him confidence that he would be able to use part of his faction’s strength to find that Sea Formation Realm cultivator.

After all, at the end of the day, the number of Sea Formation Realm cultivators in the Western Central Region was limited and with ti, he felt confident that he would be able to find the other party.

The only problem in this regard was that the person he would be looking for wasn’t from the Western Central Region, but instead the Northern Central Region. Even worse for this Land Creation Realm cultivator and his future search endeavors, he was not soone who wandered around a lot and was largely unknown throughout the continent.

The only information that was widely known about Xuan Hao outside the Star Shattering Sect was that he was a powerful senior figure from the Star Shattering Sect. His exact strength remained unknown to most but was speculated to be a Profound Immortal Realm cultivator above the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm. Exact strength unknown.

Not to ntion, he wasn’t exactly known to leave the sect outside of a few special instances like during the upheaval that had taken place in the Frozen Wastelands.

So... Even if the Land Creation Realm cultivator’s search ended up reaching the Northern Central Region, it wouldn’t end up being sothing Xuan Hao would have to worry about.

Although... Considering how most of the continents power was gathered in the Southern Central Region, it was far more likely that the search would turn towards the Southern Central Region after the search through the Western Central Region ended up with no results, sothing Xuan Hao would be more than happy to know if he knew about the Land Creation Realm cultivator’s thoughts...
