Fighting a demon beast in the Soul Ascension Realm to test out his current strength really was the best possible option, as it wouldn't risk him exposing his strength to the powerful experts of the Sky Empire.
Not to ntion, the strange restraining force engulfing the entire Great Poison Swamp didn't just prevent him from flying, but also kept the overall stability of the Great Poison Swamp and prevented it from getting destroyed by a fight between powerful experts.
Even if Yi Min had not told him anything about this, Xuan Hao had experienced it first-hand, when the strange restraining force inside the miasma forcefully dispelled the aftershocks of his attacks when fighting against the Domain Lord Realm demon beasts.
