Chapter 1763: Chapter 948: Sealing the Demon with the Pen, Stirring of Chaos
“Tan Yue, why go to such lengths? We are both of the same origin, why so eager to destroy each other?”
A mournful woman’s voice echoed from the demon as it swung thousands of dark tentacles towards Zhao Sheng, overwhelming the sky.
Hmph!
Zhao Sheng snorted coldly, and as he raised his hand, boundless divine light appeared out of nowhere.
The demon’s tentacles disintegrated upon touching the divine light, yet they continued to surge forward in waves, causing the five-colored divine light to rapidly dim, soon losing a large portion.
Seeing this, Zhao Sheng frowned slightly and suddenly shouted, “Pen, e!”
Before his voice faded, a gray, bristleless broken pen suddenly fell into his hand.
Radiant light surged around Zhao Sheng, continuously pouring into the pen, soon making it emit a strand of blood-red light.
With a flash, he appeared atop the demon, and with a twist of his wrist, the pen tip landed on the demon’s surface.
As the pen moved like a dragon and a snake, a large character “Seal” was instantly branded on the demon’s head.
The faint blood-red light emitted by the seal character immediately sealed the demon, eventually transforming it into a transparent pink amber.
Zhao Sheng’s body appeared slightly dim, casually sending the broken pen back into the depths of the Soul Sea.
Then, with a thought, boundless divine light appeared out of nowhere, and he quickly added another layer of seal on the amber surface.
After pleting these actions, Zhao Sheng felt an indescribable fort, feeling significantly more relaxed than before.
At the same time, he was pleasantly surprised to find that his Daoist abilities had advanced several degrees, with his Power of Primordial Spirit surging by nearly thirty percent.
Perceiving the various changes in himself, Zhao Sheng laughed heartily, “Haha, my Dao can be achieved!”
His laughter quickly spread across the surrounding billions of miles of void, and in the distant future, the reverberations of this sound almost brought havoc upon a Constant Sand World.
…
Several years later, the Five Elements Cave Heaven finally weled back its true master.
A flash of light, and Zhao Sheng appeared out of thin air above a hill.
The hill was covered with towering trees, thick clouds of near-liquid nature’s spiritual energy floating among the tree clusters.
With a slight movement of his mind, the jungle below parted, and a milky white stone the size of a millstone suddenly emerged from the ground, quickly flying before him.
Then, the Crystal Stone began to change, growing limbs and a head.
Its head featured visible, and exquisitely delicate features.
Immediately after, the elegant nine-foot-tall stone man seemed to awaken from a dream, stretching lazily before opening its eyes.
Seeing Zhao Sheng’s appearance, the stone man was startled and quickly burrowed into the ground.
“Stop.” Zhao Sheng said calmly.
His words were like divine authority, and the stone man instantly froze in mid-air, unable to move.
With a thought, the stone man immediately flew back.
Zhao Sheng gazed at it, speaking gently, “Stone Spirit, why do you flee upon seeing me? Have you caused some great trouble recently?”
As the words left his mouth, the Stone Spirit was instantly freed, but it dared not flee again, so it sheepishly smiled and flatteringly said, “Master, you have finally returned. I’ve been very well-behaved lately and certainly haven’t caused any trouble.”
Not waiting for Zhao Sheng to ask further, the Stone Spirit quickly changed the subject, “Master, are you not aware? Recently, the Divine Continent has been uneasy with frequent earthquakes, killing tens of thousands.”
Dongzhenzi and Zhao Qiongtian have already left the Grotto Heaven and are busy with this matter, only that detestable Zhao Wenru—”
“Ahem!”
At this critical moment, a soft cough suddenly came from behind, terrifying the Stone Spirit into silence.
It turned to see a face it detested.
The Stone Spirit’s eyes rolled chaotically, and without a word, its limbs and head retracted, turning once more into a crystalline millstone-sized stone.
The stone plummeted to the ground, disappearing without a trace.
Zhao Wenru didn’t argue with it. After bowing and saluting the true self, he quickly “shared” the recent happenings with the true self.
After receiving all the information, Zhao Sheng’s heart sank, feeling something was off.
The frequent earthquakes in Divine Continent were undoubtedly caused by Chaos.
Yet, since striking a deal with the Life Demon, Chaos had bee extremely docile, nearly obeying every mand.
Recalling the past two hundred years, there had been no major occurrences within the Zhao Family, and the Four Holy Continents could also be described as “peaceful.”
With nothing happening inside or outside, why had Chaos suddenly bee agitated?
After pondering deeply, the true self decided to personally investigate.
A thought flashed, and the avatar Zhao Wenru immediately had a moment of realization. Instantly, his figure flickered, and he vanished into thin air.
In the next moment, a portal condensed out of thin air. Zhao Sheng, with a solemn expression, passed through the portal and instantly arrived at the mountain top of the desolate mountain.
As a strand of divine thought entered the ground, a bottomless big hole immediately appeared.
Zhao Sheng’s figure flickered, and he instantly plunged into the hole.
After his figure disappeared, the hole immediately closed again, and the ground returned to its original state.
Soon, he had arrived at a vast boundless Earth Core Space.
Thud, thud thud…
Having just arrived here, Zhao Sheng immediately heard the urgent sound of drums.
He looked down, and a colossal pitch-black “star” with a diameter of nearly ten thousand feet was crazily expanding and contracting. Countless tentacles were randomly striking, each time bursting forth with earth-shattering power of destruction.
Fortunately, the Earth Core Space had been reinforced over hundreds of thousands of years, with its spatial strength reaching an incredible level.
Even so, the space here had bee precarious.
Zhao Sheng’s divine thought scanned, and he instantly saw the figures of the Ancestor, Dongzhenzi, and Zhao Qiongtian.
The three stood above Chaos’s head, each holding a flag.
The flags emitted vast radiance, invading Chaos’s body like mercury, suppressing its instinctual rage.
“You came just in time, e quickly to receive the banner.” Zhao Xuanjing, upon seeing Zhao Sheng appear, shouted with great joy.
Zhao Sheng responded to the call, appearing before the Ancestor, taking the Treasure Banner from his hand.
At that moment, Zhao Xuanjing transferred the spell controlling the banner directly into his mind.
Zhao Sheng understood instantly, and his divine thought surged into the Treasure Banner, refining it in no time.
After a breath, he too shook the Treasure Banner, driving the banner’s light to invade Chaos’s body.
He, Dongzhenzi, and Zhao Qiongtian were originally one, thus their hearts were connected, and they cooperated seamlessly.
The power of the three-sided Treasure Banner immediately surged, and its light condensed almost into substance, significantly reducing Chaos’s struggle and its size by nearly two parts.
On the other side, Zhao Xuanjing stepped the Yu’s Step Gang, circling Chaos a thousand times in an instant, countless bodies appearing out of thin air and then crashing into Chaos’s body.
In a moment, Chaos shrank again, and its frequency of expanding and contracting slowed down several times.
Several years passed, and Chaos finally returned to calm, its volume reduced to around ten feet, its tentacles having retracted into its body.
From the outside, it resembled a round, slowly wriggling pitch-black “star”.
Seeing Chaos quiet down, Zhao Sheng breathed a sigh of relief, then put away the Treasure Banner and approached Zhao Xuanjing.
“Ancestor, why has the gravitational pull of the Spirit Realm changed so drastically?”
A few years’ time was enough for him to investigate the source of Chaos’s abnormal agitation.
Zhao Sheng was shocked to discover that the gravitational Silk Strings spread throughout space-time were disturbingly chaotic, causing great changes in the Taiyi Spirit Realm’s macro-gravity.
Zhao Xuanjing said with a somber voice, “I sent an avatar to gather information over a hundred years ago. Based on the reports, the stars encircling the Spirit Realm are experiencing a rare multi-star alignment that happens once in many millions of years.
So far, the Nine Stars Alinement has already occurred, and there may be ten stars, eleven stars, or even more astronomical phenomena in the future.
Perhaps the multi-star alignment caused the gravitational chaos, and that has made Chaos exceptionally agitated.”
Zhao Sheng thought quickly and couldn’t help but wonder, “This is too coincidental! Ancestor, do you believe this explanation?”
“I have gone to the Taiyi Spirit Palace to consult our world’s history books. The books clearly record that every several hundred thousand years, there will be at least one multi-star alignment. Sometimes there are multiple occurrences.
The last appearance was thirty-seven thousand years ago, so by calculating the time, a new multi-star alignment should occur soon.” Zhao Xuanjing said frankly.
“Could it be… truly a coincidence?” Zhao Sheng thought silently.
…
Just as Chaos calmed down again, Qi Ruxian, hair disheveled and face pale, sat cross-legged at the center of the Nine Heavens Star Instrument, shouting in astonishment, “Impossible, I have calculated eighteen hundred times, and each time the divination showed Divine Continent’s downfall and the Zhao Family’s extinction.
But why is Divine Continent still safe and sound? Based on my previous calculations, the Seven Stars Alinement should have been enough for Chaos to backfire against its master.
Now that the Nine Stars Alinement has formed, Chaos still hasn’t gone berserk; where did it go wrong?
Could it be… could it be that Tianyunzi left some treasure before ascending that obscures heavenly secrets?”
As this thought arose, Qi Ruxian suddenly shook his head and said, “Absolutely impossible! I have cultivated the Divination Scripture to unprecedented levels; no treasure in this realm can disrupt my divinations.
Perhaps it’s just coincidence. No problem, I’m willing to expend some more Mana.”
Deciding in his heart, Qi Ruxian immediately regained his former posure.
He formed seals with both hands, continuing to use the Nine Heavens Star Instrument and the Demon Master’s power to subtly alter star trajectories.
