The first thing I caught in my sight is the signature ‘waist pinch’. Welt Yang’s face contorted in pain as Tesla spamd this move over and over again. He could not fight back against this angry wife of his. Truly a pitiful fate. But he deserves it.
Tesla faced while wearing an exasperated look.
“I’ll have to thank you, kid. If it wasn’t for you, who knows how much longer he would hide?”
“It’s not a big problem. It’s your daughter who’s the smart one.”
I waved both of my hands like I had nothing to do with it. Welt Yang wore a guiltier look as he heard of it. That is what he would get after setting aside misunderstandings for an entire century.
“Anyways, I won’t get involved with the family issues for now. I will send Mister Yang the details we needed to talk about later.”
“I understand. I apologize for the bad ti.”
“...Good luck, Mister Yang.”
After bidding farewell, I did not imdiately return to the Moon. Out of the fifteen partners I have, I only t two of them as of now. Vita’s curiosity is within my expectations; Wendy’s reckless actions are not. She almost treaded i’s path, only that she managed to extricate herself through her full-powered divination.
Immortal cultivation is a double-edged blade. It allows one to step onto heights they wouldn’t have otherwise stepped on. However, it also inherently draws out constant self-doubt, grievances, frustrations, and regrets, turning them into tangible enemies that continuously challenge their Tao Heart. Surpass that and they would transcend everything; fail and beco muddled by them forever. This could be viewed as immortal cultivation’s version of Xianzhou’s Marastruck, though it is much more forgiving than the blessing of Abundance.
Based on my understanding of the remaining thirteen, the ones with the tendency to fall to heart demons would be i. She did not undergo the developnt she had during the ‘Thunders over Nagazora’ arc. She did not go through the ‘I’ll gladly beco the sinner’ part, throwing away everything just to save Kiana after the events of Sirin’s outbreak. Most importantly, i never went through the Elysian Realm. She wasn’t influenced by the Flachasers’ stories, achieving the highest point of her character.
It is one of the downsides of my presence. So things that are ant to happen never happened. I ca to accept its impact. I already talked about it with Kiana once. All I can do is to help everyone who needs helping.
Just then, I spotted a rather unusual duo from one of the cities below. My speed, which overwheld the speed of light, enabled to jump onto that location in a blink. The Dao of All Creation erged in the form of pale gray clouds, enveloping my entire being. I disappeared from the real universe. The karmic lines I held in my being also grew faint, as if they were about to disappear.
The Dao of Extremity underneath All Creation pointed to the two extre ends of all things—their highs and lows. The Dao of Yin-Yang, specifically the Yin, also bore the characteristics of water: malleable, soft, and reflecting all things. Deriving an ability for concealnt wasn’t that hard.
What is Teriri and Hiko doing at a the park?
*****
The high-speed electromagnetic train did not shake Hiko’s dead face at all. She gave Theresa, who was seated beside her, a speechless look. Her arms tightly held the seat bars. Her pale face explained everything.
“Why go here… if you have a fear of heights?”
Theresa heard everything despite the gusts of wind.
“I want to be prepared. I know that my son-in-law won't actively ask out for dates. It’s also better for you!”
“...For ?”
“Since when did you succeed on any of your dates?”
“...”
Hiko’s face turned ice-cold, much to the clueless Theresa. Her blunt words ensued as the rollercoaster drifted four-thousand ters across the skies.
“I could still rember all seven dates of yours that ended in failure. You drank yourself to oblivion and weren't able to attend your first class of that day…”
The more Theresa spoke, the more the veins on Hiko’s neck bulged. Her smile turned ice-cold as she stared at this clueless, big-breasted principal of hers. It wasn’t until a while later did Theresa notice Hiko’s abnormalities. The latter averted her gaze but kept her aggrieved, cold look within.
‘Oh no! She wouldn’t…’
Hiko is already thinking of ways to get back at her.
The rest of their ‘trials’ beca slightly awkward. Theresa had to split her attention between Hiko’s reaction and the the park.
Just then, they ca across a familiar man who busied himself into eating two blueberry crepes at once.
“Oh. Hello, principal.”
“Y-y-you… Why are you here?”
Theresa was completely caught off guard by Shi Tian’s appearance. The latter wore an innocent look as he answered:
“To eat.” He took a huge bite out of the two crepes. “I didn’t expect to see you here… Miss Hiko too.”
“Um.”
Hiko did not have much to say. She did not know Shi Tian very well. Coupled with her failed dating attempts, all of which she took the initiative, she felt like she had to do the opposite.
“This reminds . I had so jars of fernted plum wine left before I went into extended seclusion.”
Shi Tian took out a glass wine bottle and unhesitantly threw it to Hiko. She caught it in a flash, uncorking the wine bottle. The mont her nose caught the scent of it, her eyes lit up.
“This is so good stuff.” She looked at Shi Tian as words rolled out of her tongue naturally, “Want to co and drink with ?”
“..?!”
Theresa was the one who was startled. She jolted and looked at the ‘inexperienced’ Hiko to her left.
“I am good with it. Do you want barbeque? I don’t have much to do as of now.”
“Alright.”
Before Theresa knew it, the two were already talking with great familiarity. She was left walking behind the two of them. All of her carefully prepared plans went up to dust.
“Principal.”
“A-ah?”
Shi Tian’s voice brought her out of daze.
“Do you drink too?” He asked.
“O-of course! I do! I can drink all day and not get drunk!”
“That’s good.”
Thus, the three-people drinking team had been finalized for tonight.
